I returned yesterday from the HWH hike that was orgenized by Maximum Adventure. Everything ran like clockwork, the hotels were excellent, the breakfasts were very good, the distances between the stops were planned perfectly, the equipment arrived on time, and in short — everything was top-notch.

We spent 6 wonderful days walking on the Northumberland Way. The Maximum Adventures team selected our accommodation for each night. We stayed in some beautiful hotels and guest houses. Warkworth Hotel was amazing and had great food. The staff were fantastic and really helpful. The Old Rectory was also a lovely place to stay and only a few miles from Alnwick if you fancy a quick visit. Bamburgh was also awesome. We ate at the Potted Lobster and that was a real highlight. The walk was comfortable very little elevation and most days were around 13 to 15 miles max. Holy Island was also definitely worth a visit. We walked across the mud on the way to the island and then on the causeway on the way back.
The booking process was very well managed for us. We booked our own evening meals but most the places we were staying offered food. Our bags were collected each day and were always there for us when we arrived in the evening. Thoroughly recommend Maximum Adventures!

I had a great time completing LEJOG, it was a great route and MA did a really good job sorting the accommodation along the route and were responsive to any queries or issues I had; so all I had to do was pedal!

Had a brilliant experience completing the 3 Peaks Challenge with Maximum Adventure. We decided to go for an organised trip both for the logistics and the benefit of having a guide, and boy I'm glad we did! Max Adventure did a great job of getting 12 of us up and down the country in a timely fashion, and without losing any of us!

The information and comms leading up to the trip was very good. Lists were provided and they were very responsive to follow up questions. A nice touch was a call from our guide in the week leading up to it to ensure we were all squared away. A word on our guide. Russ was outstanding. Knowledgeable with a great sense of humour but also enough drive to get 12 of us up 3 tough mountains. He made the whole thing challenging but fun.

All in all a very tough but worthwhile experience.

We booked a WHW track in 2025 but we had to defer it a year. MA was fantastic about staying in touch and making logistical plans for our trip. They booked great accommodations, communicated actively, and helped solve one minor problem that I caused myself. The trip and the experience with MA exceeded our expectations. They also made sure we had glorious Scottish weather. ; ) Definitely recommend them 10/10.

Maximum Adventure were very responsive and organised our walking trip along Hadrian's Wall to suit the dates we had available. Everything went smoothly and we had a great holiday. Definitely recommend them.

We had an amazing time doing the Three peak challenge and Russ our mountain guide was great. He saw the whole team up all the mountains, managing challenging conditions with a sense of humour, support, and tenacity. Many thanks to the whole Maximum Adventure team for making this a great but challenging fun experience.

Feel like I have post adventure blues as I truly had a brilliant time on the 3 Peaks challenge.
Beautiful mountains, fantastic guide, comradery within the team, smooth transfers, accommodation - everything was perfect; but the sense of achievement is outstanding!
Even with my ankles still aching I'm eyeing up my next trip with Maximum Adventures!

We had to change our itinerary from one hike to another and Maximum Adventure were great about accommodating us. We enjoyed 3 days on the Cleveland Way with excellent accommodation along the way. The luggage transfers worked well. They even managed to add in a final taxi for 7 of us to get back to the start of the walk - very much appreciated. Thank you.

Maximum Adventure booked our accommodations and transported our luggage for our self-guided tour of the Cotswolds Way. The luggage transport was great, the accommodations were terrible. I understand this is not a luxury tour company, but many of the inns and BnBs were truly awful. I would never recommend this travel company nor would I ever use them again.

Communication and organization very good. Quick responses, well done!

We did the Yorkshire 3 peaks with James as our guide.
It was easy to book and Maximum Adventure were very good at providing information and were well organised.
James was great, kept an eye on the group and made sure we didn't get split up. Especially with me, being 70, bringing up the rear. We still managed 11.5 hrs so under the 12hr target.
The hike it's self is a good challenge and enjoyed the day.

Already booked twice with Maximum Adventure. The West Highland Way and now Hadrian’s Wall. Had an amazing time and can highly recommend booking with them! The transport of our luggage happened promptly and was very convenient. The communication via Mail was working excellent. All in all we felt very well guided throughout the whole tour.
Maudé even designed the accommodation to our personal liking.
Was definitely not our last time.

The communication from Maximum Adventure, leading up to our walk was excellent and any questions we had were answered promptly.
The accommodation organised was fantastic and suited us perfectly. Great to find our luggage waiting for us at the end of each day.
It was helpful to have the information about breakfasts, lunches and availability of evening meals - we were able to organise all of this before leaving New Zealand.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Maximum Adventures to anyone wanting to do a long distance walk in the UK.

Maximum Adventure were excellent throughout. Our bags arrived to where they were needed - even at the end of our trek where we had made independent arrangements. We were very happy with the accommodation chosen and would thoroughly recommend Maximum Adventure for your long-distance trail planning.

The whole team at Maximum Adventure was professional and super helpful throughout the planning and travel. Claire was a star, finding accommodations for us after another plan fell through. When there was a glitch along the way with another provider, the support staff were great, calling back immediately to advise the status and taking care of us. We are starting to plan another trip and won’t hesitate to use MA again. They were first rate.

Keith was an excellent guide, helped us reach the summit even in the toughest of conditions, would definitely recommend planning a trip with Maximum Adventure. I look forward to more myself.

We loved our challenge from start to end. It was experience which we enjoyed a lot. Guides were really great, knowledgable and all adapted to the needs of our group. Breaks were done so wisely and that helped a lot.
Overall experience made us already think about new challenge :)

National 3 Peaks Challenge. Organised completely via Maximum Adventure, which meant zero hassle for us. We were a group of 9 and had the same minibus for the whole trip. One guide was with us from start to finish, answering all our questions and helping us to stick to the 24hrs and then 1 local guide joined us for each of the mountains. The experience was great, the guides were fantastic and the organisation of our challenge was faultless. We were all contacted individually for payment, prior to the event which also meant that it was no 1 persons responsibility to foot the whole bill even though we were a private group. I would definitely recommend using Maximum Adventure.

Maximum Adventures made all of the arrangements for our self guided West Highland Way Trek. Many of the B&Bs they booked for us were absolutely amazing. Great locations, fantastic venues and some very rich in history and wonderful hosts. Maximum Adventures was great to work with from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.
