Hauptsache kostenpflichtig, Hauptsache PopUp Werbungen und dann nur so viel unnötige Info in Tutorial Videos zu stecken, die nichts bzw wenig nutzen.
Speichern braucht man nicht. Aber dann doch, dann aber nicht auf externe Medien..dann erstmal schließen, dann wieder öffnen..dann ja, dann nein. Und in der Realität sind die Daten weg. Erreichbar ist niemand. Wenn auch Hoppalas zur wiss Arbeit dazu gehören, das hier ist zu viel.
Blöd nur, dass man drauf angewiesen ist.

Max QDA is super versatile - easy to use and provides a great user experience... for text, image, video and audio content analysis (coding), powerful visualization tools. I include it in every Research Methods Course I teach since 2019... thanks to their free course licence - which allows students to learn how to systematically code content, from identifying key themes in a proposal literature review, all the way to creating and coding an interview transcript... many of my students, have moved on to graduate school feeling much more confident in their research and analytical skills. We are also supported by a really friendly team of MAX QDA agents, and a ton of tutorial videos... A must for qualitative and mixed methods research!

10+ years using MAXQDA, it never disappoints. I've tried several qualitative analysis software, and MAXQDA has the easiest, prettiest, most intuitive and most functional interface. It doesn't glitch and lose all your coding like NVIVO, and their customer service is incredible. I haven't had many issues or concerns at all, but the few times that something came up— whether related to function or pricing— their customer service replies very fast, are always kind, and solutions-oriented. I love it.

In my doctoral research on modeling the emergence of parasitic weeds (Striga spp.) across smallholder maize farming systems in Central Malawi, I employed a mixed-methods approach that required the integration and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data. MAXQDA proved to be an indispensable tool throughout this process. I used the software primarily to analyze qualitative data from focus groups, farmer interviews, and mediated modeling sessions, enabling me to systematically code and organize themes related to farmer preferences, knowledge systems, and perceived barriers to adopting Striga control practices (SCPs). The software's visual tools and memo functions helped me trace patterns in the social and cultural dynamics influencing agricultural decision-making—insights that became critical for parameterizing the system dynamics model.

MAXQDA’s ability to manage and triangulate data from multiple sources was crucial to maintaining the rigor and coherence of my interdisciplinary work. It allowed me to bridge farmer narratives with quantitative outputs from choice experiments and crop modeling, ensuring that local knowledge and context were not lost in translation. The clarity and organization that MAXQDA brought to my qualitative analysis ultimately improved the validity of my models and enriched the dissertation’s policy implications. I highly recommend it to researchers working in complex, data-rich environments where qualitative insight must inform computational modeling and policy design.

This is great software, developed by a great team. Having used Verbi products for a decade, I find them to be the best qualitative and mixed analysis software available. I use MAXQDA for teaching qualitative data analysis and for my own research projects. It allows you to collect, organise and analyse data from a variety of sources and formats all in one place. I’m also a fan of how intuitive, flexible and user-friendly the Maxqda interface is — even advanced features can be mastered quickly. I also like how Verbi creates a network of users and provides educational events and materials. They're also super friendly.
