Awful! Was on the phone with them for 2 hours to make telemed appointment for our daughter. We told them our daughter’s symptoms and they said we had to make her an account. After an hour of her asking the same questions, we asked to speak to supervisor without success and then they said she needed to go to a live doctor. So at 2 hours we asked to leave a customer review. They hung up on us. Worst customer service and health provider. My husband works in health care and he even spoke to them.

Absolute joke. No matter what crackpot treatment they decide on they charge you. They prescribed me 30 days of hair loss medication with no refills (everyone else prescribes 270 days). When I called they told me it was an “urgent care” visit and they couldn’t prescribe more…urgent care

The claims process is completely broken as is their website. I couldn’t update my insurance info on the website so I called to straighten it out before scheduling an appointment. After the appointment, I got an email saying I needed to get my insurance company to contact them to confirm coverage. I did and my insurance company tried to confirm it with them but they said they couldn’t talk to my *insurance company* about *insurance coverage* I have due to a missing middle initial violating security. Seriously. So I updated my info with them again and they billed me the wrong amount. I gave them my coverage info both with and without the leading letters to the ID number since some companies can’t read those, and uploaded a photo of my card to be safe. I told them about the insurance info over the phone. No matter what, the pre-verification system failed and said I didn’t have valid insurance. I called again and they said I had to call my insurance company directly and then stay on the line while they talked to each other for security reasons. I thought it was weird and turns out my insurance company agreed but did it anyway. Long story short, they never even tried to file a claim with any of the information I provided and just billed me regardless. It took three phone calls to get them just to file a simple insurance claim. Ridiculous.
Oh, and like everyone else, the video link didn’t work. I had to quickly confirm I was ok with making the appointment a phone call after one minute of trying to join otherwise the provider was about to cancel — just barely got it done in time.

Rude phone operator yelling at me tells me oh your account is suspended and if you want an appointment it will be 89 bucks. Had such an attitude. Thankfully i found someone else that’s more respectful and friendly than md live
Will not email you all at Md live. You all have my email from the previous time I had an active profile before the individual didn’t want to work with Me . Will not be giving my support no more. It’s a shame. Mrs Wilson was a very nice therapist. But now I’m going to be somewhere else to where people are more friendly and they do not yell or have an attitude like md live did with me.
Strange how all of a sudden the responses and replies from Md live are the 800 number and I get the email address. You all can retrieve my information from the previous time I was active on Md live. I will no longer support you guys for the bad attitude the phone worker gave me.

Go to a real doctor or be ripped off $. They say they will not charge you unless you get a treatment plan. The "treatment plan" is the same information you can get from a Google search or nurse advise line free, (otc eye drps and wash your hands) for something as simple and straight forward as pink eye. So im still with my eye all gooey and in pain and without a rx but they took my money anyway. I hope Cigna drops them. Customer service is a real joke, I hope this business fails and all these employees get laid off.

The worst!! The absolute biggest scam in healthcare. Whatever you do DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. They’re a scam, incompetent and ful of shit. Spent a week trying to get a referral sent to my doctor only to be told (after 7 phone calls and speaking to 4 supervisors) that it takes 30 days to be sent. Trash company with trash employees. Should all be fired and the company should be shut down

Awful- used this quickly as my provider is out of town. The provider they set me up with was incredibly rude, said she wouldn’t treat my cold over the phone, would not let me get a word in edge wise, and scolded me on a chronic condition and its management that I’ve had my whole life. Call was less than two minutes before they hung up on me
First time using MDLive, will never use again

Terrible.
I got an appointment for a medication renewal as my other psychiatrist failed to renew my medication and stopped responding to messages. I selected "medication renewal" and entered my medication, which it recognized. I was in the appointment with my video going 10 minutes before it was scheduled. The screen said "waiting for provider". When the time came it booted me out and I got a text saying that I missed the appointment.
I called, and after a very long phone tree, I was told that I shouldn't have clicked on the link they emailed me. I asked the rep what I should have done instead and she said I should have logged into my insurance site and when the time came I would automatically be taken to the appointment. It made no sense. Even if that was supposed to be the procedure they shouldn't have emailed me a link to click on.
I tried to schedule another appointment with the rep online and she said that no provider on MDLive could prescribe my medication. They could have also told me that when I scheduled the appointment. I selected my medication from the dropdown list they provided to enter the medication I wanted renewed.
Just an overall terrible experience. I will avoid them from now on.

I gave them my insurance information before and they took it and then afterwards told me that they didn’t accept my insurance. Then the doctor prescribed me medicine that made my condition way worse.
Edit: I called customer service and they were still unable to help, this company sucks

Met with doctor at 10:30am, diagnosed with sinus infection (after flu), received text from MDLive that prescription was sent to my pharmacy (w/ accurate pharmacy details), waited 3 hours, drove to pharmacy but there was never a prescription received on my behalf.
Called MD Live and they told me, based on policy, they have escalated issue and it could take up to 48 hours.
Spoke to supervisor and she said it was a technical issue or the doctor did something wrong. Supervisor could not call doctor (per policy) or give me a return call (per policy) to let me know if she was able to get in touch with nurse. Nothing!
I have to sit and wait for the next 48 hours to get my prescription.
Supervisor was lazy and lacked any type of ownership. Blamed her system, the doctor, and the policy. Completely incompetent.
Your policy is broken. Your leadership is lazy. MDLive is in trouble. If you care about improving your service I am happy to jump on a call (can be reached via email).

Paid some fool in Orlando to tell me surface level knowledge, “oh use Flonase or mucinex” thank you genius! Oh wow I never thought of those! I was calling for antibiotics you clown lol. Worthless, paid for literally nothing.

MDLIVE provided a 14-day treatment plan for me but prescribed only two days' worth of medication. Their customer service representatives told me I would have to continuously schedule appointments, and pay $89 each time, for the next twelve days. They were rude, unhelpful, and uncaring. They would not let me talk me to the doctor who set up this scam. I doubt if he or she exists. I have reported MDLIVE for medical fraud with the Illinois Attorney General's office.

What a disgrace!!! I've been with Kaiser for 15 years and I had nothing but first class service I absolutely loved Kaiser. Due to my current job transition they don't unfortunately offer Kaiser so I went with Blue Cross and Blue shield. My experience with MD live has been horrible and this has been the first time ever dealing with them. I'm a Sr. Director of the engineering department at a very high profile company. I was sick on December 1st 2025 because of the winter virus and I'm allergic to benzonatate also known as tessalon so I told the doctor do you have an alternative to give me. Will it turns out that alternatives are steroids and I didn't know that but if it makes me feel good and stops this violent coughs I'm all for it. The stupid doctor made me feel like I'm some kind of a druggie or something his tone was absolutely unnecessary. I'm not sure what kind of low life or low-class people they deal with but don't mix good people in that same pot. This was absolutely insulting and very disrespectful I felt so insulted absolutely unnecessary. I will do everything within my power to have my company offer Kaiser because their service is first class all the way Absolutely an amazing service and what a difference in class.

Reviewing just so others don’t fall for this virtual doctor crap. You put your symptoms in, answer a million questions. If you are looking for real help, go to a real doctor. These doctors say just enough to charge you (no matter how bad it is or how long you’ve been suffering). Then you end up the next day (or so) at Urgent Care or Primary Care, paying again, for them to really diagnose you with an infection. Don’t be lazy. Get up a take yourself to a real doctor.

The technology always breaks. The doctors rush to conclusions and try to push you off on to other more expensive providers. I am convinced in my opinion this system is set up to be cheap and make it look like your insurer is providing great, comprehensive, online, on-demand care, but to intentionally fail to perform against other online care providers not under insurance.

Due to poor record keeping and unreliable physicians I will no longer use this service. This does not seem to be a very well run company. I have had to spend hundreds of $'s multiple times in order to simply get a refill for my prescription. Due to a constant change in physicians and no real record keeping on their end. Not only is it economically unreasonable to continue using this service but also a risk to my PHI to continue to use this service. If you are reading this, I strongly urge you to go elsewhere. I have not had a good experience with customer service. I have listed numerous times how this issue could be resolved in a mutually beneficial way; however they refused to put in any effort to help with my physical and mental health needs which is a huge slap in the face as not only a customer but a patient.

I scheduled an urgent MDLIVE video visit with Dr. Aquilla Bashir Moosani, MD for my 4-year-old son, who was having persistent barky coughing despite asthma treatment and supportive care at home. I paid $40 expecting a professional pediatric evaluation. What I received was neither safe nor appropriate.
Dr. Moosani never asked to visually assess my child — not once did she ask to see him breathe, hear his cough, or even verify his color or distress level. This was a video visit for a respiratory complaint in a preschool-aged child, and no visual exam was done. Instead, she spent barely two minutes on the call and suggested I “double up on his Breyna inhaler.”
As any parent of an asthmatic or croup-prone child knows, Breyna (Symbicort) already contains a steroid and long-acting bronchodilator. Doubling the dose without assessment can irritate the throat and cause side effects — especially in a 4-year-old. When I questioned this, she offered no explanation, and the visit abruptly ended.
This was not a safe or thorough evaluation. No questions about prior medications, no review of his recent steroid course, and no acknowledgment of my detailed care notes that were uploaded before the visit.
As a mother who has worked closely with multiple pediatricians, neurologists, and specialists for my son, I was shocked by the lack of attention, empathy, and professional diligence. I would strongly caution parents against relying on this provider for pediatric respiratory issues.
MDLIVE should ensure that their pediatric doctors perform actual assessments before giving dosing advice — especially when it involves inhaled steroids. I am requesting a full refund and a review of this encounter for quality and safety compliance.
Parents — always trust your instincts. If a provider won’t look at your child, they haven’t truly evaluated them.

First, let me start by saying their policy for rescheduling or cancelling your appointment has to be done prior to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time or you are charged $50. You will also be charged if you "miss" an appointment even if it's a technical issue on the their end.
I had a therapy appointment scheduled for this morning. I logged into the portal ten minutes before my appointment time. At five minutes till there will be a blue "join the call" button. This appeared and then I wasn't able to click to join. I refreshed the page, exited the browser, tried again, even tried from my phone, and nothing worked. I called the contact number because by this time it was into my appointment time and I couldn't access it. I didn't want to be charged for something that was clearly a technical issue on their end. I was told that since I had opened a ticket for the issue I would not be charged. THIRTY minutes after my appointment time was supposed to start I got an email from by bank about the charge being attempted. I immediately called them back and they "couldn't see where the charge had been attempted on their end". They also don't have a way to contact the provider to let them know what was going on and that this wasn't just me not showing up to an appointment. Customer service wasn't any help. They told me they would open another ticket, make it a priority, but that they really couldn't tell me if I was going to continue to be charged or not. I just feel like if the issue on their end I shouldn't be charged. Also, I didn't just not show up or cancel my appointment, I was unable to login through their website because of an issue on their end. How is that my fault? I also have a screenshots and videos of the issue so that could see what was actually happening. My last call ended with the rep telling me she would send me an email so I could send the the documentation to see if it would be acceptable proof of the incident. It's been 3 hours since that call and I still haven't received an email. I get that technical issues happen. I'm not upset at that. I am upset that they don't care that it was their error and are making me pay for something I had zero control over. It's bad enough that if someone had a true emergency and had to reschedule or cancel within 24 hours of their appointment that they would be charged as well, but when the issue is on their side and they are punishing the patient for that - that's wrong. I have had other issues with them, trying to schedule with providers and the providers cancel the appointments, or send a request to a provider for availability and no one responds.I even had a provider be rude and tell me "I was wasting her time" because I didn't know where I needed to start with therapy, just that I wanted to start it. So this is actually just the final straw for me, and I will no longer use them. It's provided through BCBS and yes, it's an easy way to make therapy appointments but I'll find somewhere else to go. If this is the way they treat their patients then I want nothing to do with them, and they will not be getting my business. 10/10 do not recommend.
