I telephoned Medicare to ask about reimbursement should I engage a provider who is out of network. I was told that the government could reject an out-of-network claim out of hand and that if I wanted reimbursement I needed to find an in-network provider. In other words, the government threatened me with non-coverage unless I used a federally underwritten provider. The word "fascism" is used inappropriately far and wide at present. What "fascism" means is a wholly symbiotic relationship between government and private industry. That would be this.
