I found this course incredibly helpful when revising for the SJT. The pre-course videos were really useful for going through at your own pace and again for re-going over throughout your SJT prep. The live lecture was useful to have a thorough explanation of the different sections. In addition, the MedSet practice papers and workings out were extremely useful. I also did another course from a different provider and the MedSet one was definitely superior. Lastly, with this year having the new rating style of questions, MedSet provided an explanation and algorithm that was easy to understand and made tackling the questions in the exam a lot easier. Overall, couldn't recommend enough!

Well worth the money even for peace of mind to have someone talk you through how to start revising for the SJT. The pre course work was so clear and thorough including the guidelines (great summaries) and tips for answering different question types. The course wasn't too long or boring and was good opportunity to work through SJT questions with someone with a lot of experience.

Clear and thorough presentation. Makes everything clearer and easier to understand the logic. Lots of room for questions, which are answered thoroughly. Realistic approach given about life vs SJT logic.

Highly recommend! I feel much more prepared and have a greater understanding of the SJT exam, how it works, and how to approach the exam both in terms of preparation and on the day. The course was very informative and everything was presented in a clear and concise manner. It was well organised and structured great!

The preparatory videos really helped with ensuring every aspect of the exam and official guidance would be covered. The techniques taught were unique to this course (some of these were very helpful tips, e.g. timings, rationale, which I have not seen any other course cover) and we were given a helpful way to approach the new question type. There was an abundance of exam question practice, I felt this was very productive and exactly what I was looking for!

The tutors were very professional, attentive and gave excellent guidance! Very grateful to the team, and especially to the tutor, who delivered the content at a great pace and explained all aspects of the exams and question answers very well.

I would recommend that everyone that needs to do the SJT do this course if they have the opportunity to do so as it can increase your confidence. Great value for money. Interesting and relevant content. Thank you again for equipping us with such useful tips and techniques for the SJT, I feel much more ready!

Was a good course. I particularly liked the fact that they had examples and rationale to do with the rating questions, which were new for our year. This showed how Medset was keeping up to date, and was the difference to other resources, which had very little information on this part of the topic! Its a shame the actual day couldn't be in person, but I still felt that Medset ensured a high quality learning day was created for us, albeit virtually.

Great course, very well organised, covered loads of material. I feel more comfortable with the exam pattern now, I was dreading it. Dr Ugwu was an excellent teacher, took the time to go through questions in detail and did not feel rushed. Lectures were really good. Thanks for everything!

Clearly identified and communicated the SJT/GMC rationales. Information given was concise and never contradicted prior info.
Was concerned this would just be a money maker but definitely worth the £.

Well-paced, clear and concise. We were given rules that you should follow when answering questions rather than ‘answers are subjective, deal with it’. I actually understand what the examiners want from me now. Delivered by an experienced teacher who knows what he’s talking about. This is THE BEST COURSE I HAVE BEEN TO (and I’ve tried many others). I feel much more confident in knowing what I have to do to get the highest marks.

Really clear - I think the booklet has lots of useful tips in that I had never thought of before.
Mr. Ugwu was really great at answering questions we had and explained the questions from the perspective of the examiners very well. It was especially useful that official questions were used in the lectures.

Mr Ugwu is an absolute dude! Very informative & rational teaching style. Took time to debunk the myths & provide easy to follow tips & tricks. Gave lots of insights into roles & responsibilities of FY1. Feel more confident about what is an unsettling test. Very professional!

Good course for those with no idea where to begin!
Enrolled for this course because I wanted to get a jump start on SJT revision and had no idea where to begin- this course gave me a sense of direction and what key areas would be important for the exam. Really appreciated that the online videos were very helpful and available up until my actual SJT date and practice papers were useful to a certain extent (the new rating questions were useful!), however, I thought for 90 odd pounds, they would have been more than just copies of questions from the original UKFPO practice papers available to everyone via the UKFPO website (just the names were changed in their scenarios). I think it also would have been important to highlight somewhere on the online videos that the practice papers needed to be done before the virtual live session, as I only found out about this a few days before the live session via email from Sean (the email automatically went to my junk so I didn't manage to see it until the night before). In terms of the live session, it was helpful to hear extra details behind the reasons for the correct answers. However, not a single one of my questions were answered or even acknowledged so I feel like I couldn't get the most out the session- this could have been due to technical issues although I did email to ask if I was sending my Qs to the correct person but no-one got back to me. Because of this, it felt like watching the session live was not useful as I was not able to interact and it could have just been a pre-recorded video. But overall, the resources were good and it's a good starting point! (if you have the money to spare!!)

The fact that all the questions were the offical questions was brilliant.
I felt like the tips given were really helpful and linked to actual GMC guidelines.
The mock exam was great (being able to go through the answers was really beneficial and the fact we get answer explanations emailed to us is ideal).
Having attended the MDU course I felt this one was far more relevant & helpful.
