After I paid for the product, I was then informed they didn’t have it in stock so I had to wait longer. Product was impossible to reassemble, had to pay a shop to reassemble it. Terrible customer service. Do not recommend.

I was looking for an OEM dashcam for my car and they were really helpful.
After I purchased the dashcam, they got in touch with me to make sure I got the right one for my car.
They ask for pictures of the rear view mirror cover and I sent everything to them. Few days later, they came back to me letting me know that they don't have a perfect fit for my car, but there was an alternative for a normal dashcam.
I decided to not purchase, but I'm really happy with the service they provide. Guiding and allowing me to make the final decision so I wouldn't end up with a wrong product and waste my money.
They fully refunded me.

It is easy to give 5 stars for a simple transaction that goes well. It is when problems occur that people give low ratings. In this case, my camera had failed and Mercylion worked with me to solve the issue. There were difficulties from the start, but their technical staff patiently worked with me. When my camera could not be fixed, they graciously offered a replacement at a discount (mine was out of warranty). Even after shipping issues, all the Mercylion representatives were professional and gracious. 5 stars for the great customer service to get my camera. I really like the clarity and clean look of the Mercylion products

I am impressed with your customer service: the timeliness, clarity, and response time, both in the website chat and by mail, are striking. We had an issue with the product received and even so you handled it with interest and readiness. I have great expectations that this will be solved to my complete satisfaction.

Installation was a bit more difficult that I thought it might be. You might need some needle nose pliers to get the back connection clipped in. Hard to see back in there.
Still trying to figure out the app for the camera. Not wanting to connect to phone.

Shipping was great, on time. I have not installed yet but looks good.

Update: Even my bank decided they were scammers and upheld my dispute and refunded me my charge payment. All they had to do was do the right thing so I got what I paid for!! That was too hard for them and they would rather accuse me of lying to them!!

Order the product from Amazon where you won’t get scammed!!

One of the easiest installations that I have ever done for a system that add so much. All went well, downloading the App and the setup. Disabling the Bluetooth on the cellphone avoids the "fighting" between the Carplay App and the Dashcam App over control of the Wifi. The casing is very well made and it actually fits together better than the OEM casing that it replaces.

Why only 4 stars? The original casing has good sized ventilation openings to allow circulation of air for the OEM electronics inside. In contrast the openings on the new casing has been reduced significantly even though more electronics need to be ventilated. It is a known fact that the expected service life of electronics reduces by 50% for every 10 degrees raise in temperature, Why do Mercylion want to reduce the service life of the electronics covered by the casing when there is so much space to add proper sized ventilation openings? Also, the most difficulty that I had was to find space for all the excess wiring. The wiring can be made much shorter.

Pre purchase communication with the company was very positive and they responded promptly to my questions.

I am quite disappointed with this camera. The image quality is only medium to low, and I still haven’t been able to connect it properly. The cable is excessively long, making it very difficult to install correctly.

On top of that, the camera is extremely expensive. Not to mention the plastic mount that supports it, which is of very poor quality.

The service was outstanding. From my initial contact through delivery, Mercylion provided exceptional customer service. A representative kept me informed with personalized updates throughout the shipping process, including regular progress reports and delivery information. The item arrived exactly as described, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to do business with Mercylion again.

So before purchasing both the integrated dashcam and rear dashcams with the GPS tag, I contacted Mercylion to confirm the front to rear cable would be long enough as the car is an estate. They were quick to confirm, also I like the service where you send them photo's and they confirm the dashcam is correct for the car before ordering. It was above 7 days for delivery from China to the UK so good.

It took me around 70 minutes to install them both, very easy to route the cable and just tuck under the edge of the headliner. I found using two plastic pry's for opening mobile phone cases, worked great on the existing VW plastic housing, this made it easier for making the gap open ready for the larger pry tool supplied, no broken clips hooray. I also found a 2mm terminal screwdriver to lever the rain sensor plug from the right side easily pops it out for the splitter to be fitted.

As I purchased the rear cam as well along with the GPS tag, there is a far bit of cable to hide in the headliner above the integrated dash cam but its possible, just something to bear in mind when re-fitting the housings.

I did find when connecting the Mercylion app on Android that it kept disconnecting, this turned out to be the VW Connect and you have to temporarily disable auto connect or it knocks off the connection to the dashcam, even if you answer the VW Connect request as 'No'.

The app feels basic, if I'm honest I don't see me using that unless i need to alter any settings, its easier to pop the SD card and view on a PC.

The SD places files in two folders,
GPS Data folder - Txt files with the GPS tracker data.
Novatek folder - This has three sub folders, EMR, Movie and Photo, the first would store footage if the G-Sensor activated in a bump or crash, the 2nd folder stores everyday footage and the last for any screen captures taken. (I set the recording to to 5 minute blocks).

The captured footage is good, clear enough to be useful if ever needed, hopefully not.

So why 4 stars
1) If you download footage using the app, when played it should show the route taken on a map, this does not work for me, the map just opens at its default location in China. I've tried two phones and an emulator on a PC and could not get this to work, my guess is its not linking the footage to the GPS txt files - like I said above I'm unlikely to use the app anyway, the GPS coordinates and speed are burned into the footage that I can view on my laptop.

2) Although the footage for the front and rear cameras burn the speed, comparing these I can see the speed recorded are both in MPH, however for some reason the rear camera details this as KM/h even though its MPH - There is no way to alter this in the settings which is a shame.

3) I have found that random footage ends in the EMR folder as well as the Movie folder even though the G-Sensor should not have activated, as an example following a recent drive I had 26 * 5 minutes files (13 for the front camera and 13 for the back, four of these which were part router ended up in the EMR folder) - odd, but not an issue as longer as its captured and I know where to find them if ever needed.

Also something good to know if your car is right hand drive, you wont be able to see the LED indicator to see if the camera is working as these are on the left side.

Update 6th June - To rectify the Route not being displayed on the map for downloaded videos, Mercylion advised that I needed to use the Luckycam app, this works fine and the route is displayed - I'd also say this app is much better to adjust the camera settings. (If it was possible I would up the rating to 4.5 now).
