I was initially told by my insurance company that someone would attend to resolve my plumbing issue, but no one ever turned up. Five days later, the insurance company reassigned the job to Metro Plumb.
I received a text message confirming that they would attend on a certain day, but then I received a call advising that the appointment would instead be the following day. I left a Google review based on my experience so far, which quite clearly triggered a reaction from them.
I then received a call from Metro Plumb informing me that they would no longer attend my property because I had left a 1-star review. I offered them the opportunity to come out and complete the work, and explained that I would happily reassess my review afterwards. However, instead of attempting to resolve the situation, they refused to attend altogether.
The owner, Dylan, stated that my review was malicious and claimed it had been explained to me over the phone that my insurance company had cancelled the original job. This was never communicated to me. When I asked for a recording of the call with his employee, he was unable to provide one.
Throughout my conversation with Dylan, I remained polite and cordial. Unfortunately, it appears that Metro Plumb are unwilling to accept constructive feedback, and when given the opportunity to resolve the issue, they chose not to.

1 STAR IS NOT LOW ENOUGH
Worst customer service I have ever received, left someone in there 90's with no hot water or heating for 9 days.
Called 3 days in a row to be told they was coming out to be let down at 9pm at then told they would be there at 9am the following morning no arrival for the third time.
every person I have spoke to in customer service is rude the Plymouth branch and exeter are the worst !
no one can update a time or pass the engineers number who is apparently on the way
worse customer service I have received left my grandparents in such a bad position

This company was called because my sewer drain became full, preventing my toilet from draining properly. They were called by the first plumber who came to assess the situation 8pm on a Saturday night. It could only have been 10 minutes following the departure of the original plumber, who turned up at mine within half an hour of being called. Metro plumb were busy with an emergency which was a big job, and it would be too late to bring the equipment due to the noise etc, and that they would be with me in the morning. With that said, they offered to come out late if things became worse. They kept their word, arrived the following morning and sorted the sewer drain, and came in to make sure everything was flowing well. Thank you all at metro rod
Whiteley village shopping centre one of your company vehicles went the wrong way round the roundabout into the car park ! Near miss to several cars who are correctly using the roundabout.
If they drive like they plumb, I’d stay away !

This is about the quality of Metro Plumb Head Office.
Absolutely appalling. They boast on their hold music fully insured, total piece of mind. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I have had work done at the property, having found defects, they won’t acknowledge responsibility, they will claim to have done a thorough investigation and when challenged with evidence that proves they are wrong, they fall silent.
Though they may have some happy customers, I am certainly not one of them and cannot recommend this service company to anyone.

Very efficient and easy company to deal with.
I have used them twice now because of their customer service, helpfulness and professionalism.
Happy to recommend.
My Home emergency insurers appointed Metro Plumb ( Metro Rod ) as result of a leak, their plumber attended inspected the bath then proceeded to jump on it to see if the seal was loose, he replaced the silicone seal behind a fixed shower screen over the bath. It was discovered the bath had been cracked by him. Reported, the investigating director at Metro Plumb said the plumber had not and had no need to go into the bath. He lied. Earlier job report had confirmed the plumber had re silicone the bath
Disgraceful that a main board director should lie.

Never had any work done by this company and nor will I. I think you can tell a substantial amount about a company from how courteous and respectful their drivers are driving around in the company’s marked vehicles.
So the driver of vehicle, H25 SJT who cut me up yesterday in Radcliffe on Trent to get one vehicle in front of me at the traffic lights and then proceeded to tail gate other drivers hang your head in shame. We all like to get home as quickly as possible, which I presume that you were doing, however the way you drive I suspect that one day you won’t get home at all, or you’ll wipe some unfortunate person out. If you want to drive like a lunatic and bully people then I suggest you drive around in a plain van and stop dragging your company down. I can assure you that it doesn’t matter how good you are when potential customers see someone driving like you did they will stay well away from you.

Overall I had a good experience, took a little longer then they expected it to take. But the plumber was friendly and did the job
A dreadful and disgusting experience with this company and I cannot stress enough that people stay well away from them.
I had a water pipe leak under my patio, they arrived and dug, not very deep and informed me that they'd need to acquire a permit to dig outside of my boundary, employ surveyors to brace my garden wall and run a new line from the Northumbria Water stopcock.
They left me without water supply to the property and told me how to turn the stopcock outside in the street so i could temporarily have water for 10 minutes, telling me it would take 28 days to get a permit from the council to dig.
At this point if they had just investigated a little further they would have seen that the pipe that had the leak was an un-needed off-shoot which just needed to be capped off. But, instead, they told me that the leak was in three places, which was a lie, because the additional two leaks were caused by their digging with freshly made spade marks on the aforementioned pipe.
They had no clue of the direction of the actual line into my house.
They then estimated me in excess of £10,000 to fix the leak. I naturally called a halt to the process and they charged me £1765.30 for under 5 hours of labour and permits to dig on my own property.
So, in a nutshell, they charged me £1765.30 to dig a small area, further puncture the pipe in question and do their utmost to rip me off.
Another firm arrived and capped the pipe and solved the leak for £500
Please be very wary of this outfit, and the extortion they practice.

The worst ever experience with them. They lumbered me for more than one month. No empathy to my situation, no communication and kept on ordering wrong material. The guy did not disconnect the power supply to my tank and just cut off the water supply. The whole system got ruined and still after a month did not turn up and fixed it. Do not recommend to any body. No trust.

I needed a plumber quite quickly due to a leak in my kitchen. Craig came out the next day to see me with his apprentice. He found the source of the problem the problem and resolved it. Despite there being long term damage he explained everything clearly and pointed me in the right direction to other services that may be needed. All in all really happy with the service, would highly recommend.

I have a gravity feed system boiler, whereby I have low water pressure, I believe salamander make a pump specifically for a gravity fed system, salamander provide metro plumb as a provider for their pump, I contacted metro plumb and asked if they can sell and fit a salamander pump for a gravity fed system, they said yes however we will have to do a call out to see what piping needs changing so we can quote correctly according to the work needed, this will be at a cost of £50, highlighting I don’t need to worry about the £50 as it will be deducted from the total price of the pump, however the £50 is to cover the cost of the engineer coming on site, I gave the go ahead and they said an engineer would call us back, there was no call back, we followed up and had to pay the £50, an engineer came out and suggested we fit a new combi boiler as this gravity fed system is old. My wife also queried plumbing a pipe into the garage, They provided a quote for the plumbing into the garage, and did not quote on the whole purpose that I had requested them for, I emailed asking if they can please provide a quote for the salamander, I received an email saying due to the age of the system they can not risk fitting such a pump to this system. when I initially contacted them, they were informed of the system type and age, I consider this unreasonable, knowing the system is 40 years old and then charging for engineer to come say they can’t quote, when they could have just said they won’t quote on that in the first place if they won’t fit a pump to an old system.
I have used Metro Plumb Nottingham/Lincoln a number of times for our property maintenance and have received incredibly service. There has always been a quick turnaround from me calling to an engineer being on site and I'm always kept in the loop with what was needed to fix the issues. Harry and his team are brilliant!
Very punctual very knowledgeable and polite. He solved the problem straight away, highly recommended.
