Screwed us bad...took deposit over the phone...said movers would show up between 10AM and 11 AM...driver called and tried switching until following day..I informed him that was impossible as we were leaving by train @8:30 that day...2 guys showed up with a pickup towing an open air u-haul after dark...they had no inventory sheets or any paperwork ( bill of lading or insurance papers) ...the 2 guys sent were pleasant and doing the best they could to rectify situation...I had them leave and Mission Van Lines would not reimburse down payment...stealing from my 93 year old mother...stay away..the woman on the phone was completely incompetent and unprofessional..a real see you next tuesday...stay far away from this outfit

I believe I was scammed and I will be filing a complaint to the better business bureau BUT I want to warn everyone that this company is not trustworthy and the third party moving company that I dealt with. I called and set up my move in December 2024 and was given an estimate of $1,953.00. I paid a deposit of $845.00 and told them estimated move date would be in June 2025 which it ended up being. I had a few items to add May 30th on my was quoted$2,934.00 and paid them $1,370.00 towards this. The third party moving company called TSSJ Moving Express LLC comes on the day that was scheduled and loads up my things and once everything is loaded they proceed to tell me that the cost is going to be more, $7,609.00, $4,869.00 more. I had sold my house and had no choice because I needed to vacate the house. I called Mission Van Lines and asked if they could please investigate there huge change in charges and they told they would look into this to see why they charged me so much more. They said usually should not take more than a week. I never heard back and when I tried calling the rude girl basically told me there was nothing she could see that was being looked into and she refused to help me or let me speak to someone else. Beware and run! This company is involved in scamming people and taking advantage when your moving which is stressful when your doing it on your own with no help.

If I could rate them 0 stars I would. Do not use this company. I cannot stress this enough. Please do not use this company. It has been a horrible experience both with them and the moving company they hired out to deliver my belongings. I'm currently at 8 weeks since my delivery date and still haven't received my items.

Half the time the moving company won't answer the phone so I have to call Mission to get me updates and even their reps tell me they had a hard time reaching them. TREVOR is a pushy sales person who threatens you with price hikes if you want to think about the quote. Most of what TREVOR said turned out not to be true. I want to ensure that anyone reading or scrolling this will see TREVOR's name here and stay far away. When I spoke to Nick for my QA call, the amount I was expecting to pay at that time doubled based on adding a couple items. When I expressed my disbelief and unhappiness about that as those items absolutely did not take up more space than the 30 FILLER BOXES THAT WERE ON MY ORDER, Nick immediately got an attitude and said "Well fine we can just leave the price what it is and they'll only take what fits for that amount and you can deal with whatever they have to leave behind." I wish I could accurately convey the tone he used during this conversation. It was outrageous.

The moving company's reps, if you can get anyone to answer the phone, are often rude and unprofessional as well. When I asked to have a fee waived based on the awful experience I'd had (this was at 7 weeks of no stuff and still no expected delivery date), he immediately got an attitude and said "You cannot ask for help in the same breath you are telling me we've provided you with terrible service, so no it won't be waived right now and you are abusing your position as the customer." What power? They hold everything I own and wouldn't tell me when they would get it to me.

Finally I get a call last week that my items were being loaded that day and would be delivered within 1-5 calendar days and the driver will call the day before to let me know and confirm arrival window. That would mean delivery by the following Monday. Today is the Sunday of that window and still no call. Movers won't answer the phone, so I call Mission. Their rep calls me back and says the movers are telling them it will be 1-3 days from TODAY and the driver will call an hour ahead of arrival. They also told me if it wasn't delivered on time I would be compensated. They're now telling me that is between me and the movers and essentially they take no accountability for the moving companies they hire. They wash their hands of any responsibility once they hand it over to the movers.

TLDR: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You will live to regret it.

the sales guy kept trying to talk me into their services. I kept refusing, not trying to be rude. he kept insisting- finally he replied, "is this the reason why your wife divorced you?" lol- I never been married and then he hung up. scammed. initial price was 2200 for move and close to the end, it dropped to 1400. smh do not recommend and avoid at all costs!(7:48 pm est)

Please don't use Mission Van Lines for moving furniture from one state to another. They lie to get your business. Once they get your business, they double the price from the one agreed upon. They made my out of state furniture move from Texas to Washington a Nightmare. Mission Van Lines subcontracted the job out to Infinity moving company. The driver of the Infinity moving company stated that since you are american, you will pay. (Insinuating that I will pay more money). After loading my furniture on the truck, they refused to give me a copy of my contract. Due to poor communication between Mission Van Lines and Infinity moving company, I had to call three different people to find out when they would deliver my furniture. After going back and forth between both moving companies via text and telephone calls, the original price doubled from the initial and they stated if I was not there, they would keep my furniture and charge me a storage fee. Infinity moving company wanted me to pay them in cash. I told them no, because they could not give me a receip . Once I finally received my furniture from Infinity moving company, I had to pay the increased price than the one initially given to get my furniture off the truck. I had a table that the moving company took appart the driver did not have any tools to reassembled the table I had to provide the tools, on top of the doubled price of my furniture, . Overall, Mission Van Lines is absolutely not a reputable company to do business with. They are running scams on people by quoting one price, until they pick up your furniture, then the price doubles . In order to get your furniture back, you have to pay the increased price that was not told to you in the beginning. This practice is holding your furniture hostage to get more money out of the consumers before they will deliver your furniture which should be illegal. Again, don't use Mission Van Lines nor Infinity Moving Company for any state to state or intrastate moving.

Do not use Mission Van Line. They kept putting off our dates and times for our move. Their driver never called and Ann is impossible to get in touch with. Our bank has made servals calls to them and haven't been able to get in touch with them. We're trying to get our money back and we will take action by taking them to small claim court. Nick said the 28th of April was our moving date to which we requested for that date and Ann said it will be on 30th of April which none of those dates never happened. We had to be out of our apartment by the 1st of May with no place to go and no where to put our things. I had a new job waiting for me. Mission Van Line Company is a nightmare and because of this I couldn't sleep neither eat during this time of moving. Moving was very stressful for me and my husband. Cost us more because we had to get a U-haul and cancel on the movers. Now we are having a hard time getting our money back. We reserved and paid for their services six months in advance and you think they would do better to serve you.

They originally stated my belongings would arrive in 2-3 days but it ended up being two weeks. I called several times to get an update and they kept telling me to call back. When the movers finally arrived, they requested more money for labor because I live in a 4th floor walkup. I completely understand paying people for their labor but the person initially taking my information did not mention the rate for stairs so I was completely caught off guard. After giving them the extra money, they began unloading the truck. My dishes were broken and I didn't get a mirror that I shipped. Instead, I got someone else's boots. I wonder who got my mirror.

On the day of the move they first of all sent a truck thar ws too small and then informed me that the price would be $7000.00. that was a price i could not afford. Now they will not refund my money... Stay away from the company they are dishonest

Bait and Switch, BEWARE!! Had a contract outlining EXACTLY what was being moved, VERY small move. Mission movers brokered a TERRIBLE company, they were rude, unprofessional and refused to move anything unless we paid them more money. They left without doing any of the work, HORRIFIC!! FRAUD!!

Crooks be very cautious. Do not use these guys. Super shady they are not movers they just give you empty promises and then switch and bait

Horrible business practices. Spoke to Trevor regarding a move. The more I said I wanted to think about it the more he over talked me and stated after we got off the phone the prices would go up. I was ok with that.... you will not strong arm me into making a decision. He put me on hold a couple times stating he was trying to get the rate locked in for a week for me to think about it and each time he said management said No 😄. I asked about if they came to look at what I had to get a more accurate account of boxes needed etc and he said the other companies that do that are looking at the type of car you drive and the type of house you live in and basing your quote on that. Finally he said I know your smarter than that....of course I am; I said and said that's why I'm hanging up.

Hello to all who will read this review. I am writing this review objectively and comprehensively to ensure that all those who wish to do business in the future with “Mission Van Lines” USDOT: 4180511, AKA “Guaranteed Van Lines”; knows exactly what they’re signing up for.

Like many of you, I put my information on a website that claimed to provide quotes for moving estimates only to be disappointed that they don’t actually provide a quote but instead sell your information as leads to various moving companies/brokers. After inputting my information into such a site, I was swiftly contacted (within minutes) by Mission Van Lines who proceeded to give me a quote for roughly $1600 to move my items from Baltimore to Houston. Fair enough, I accepted and paid the initial $650 deposit. Fast forward to the day the movers came to pick up my items. I learned that Mission Van Lines is actually a broker and doesn’t actually handle your items. Personally, I did not have an issue with that but I will say that they did not disclose that before hand. (Mission Van Lines claims they are transparent about this but at no point did they disclose it during our initial call, they use terminology like “our movers”, “we will”, “our professionals” etc which makes it seem like they are the ones who will be handling your items.

Anyway, Mission Van Lines contracted South Van Lines LLC USDOT: 3013951 to handle my move. I will say they did arrive at the date and time requested and that was much appreciated. They also quickly packed my items into the truck. However, soon after packing my items, South Van Lines informed me that I was to pay an extra $1000 because Mission Van Lines had under-appraised my quote on purpose in order to win my business. I will note that I DID NOT add anything extra to what was originally quoted on the bill of lading, in fact I actually took less stuff because I gave away some of the furniture that I had put on the quote originally. (Mission Van Lines likes to use that as an excuse for the price hike to conceal the fact that they intentionally under-quote you as a strategy to win your business).

Additionally, South Van Lines told me that they would have my items delivered within 3-4 days. It was honestly my fault for being gullible enough to believe this, but in reality it took about two weeks and for some reason the driver decided to arrive at 3:00AM, knock on my door and deliver the items unannounced. In the move process I discovered that my TV (which I paid $100 for them to put in a protective crate) was damaged along with other items. I will be submitting a claim and I’ll provide an update to that if/when it concludes).

All in all, I won’t say I was completely dissatisfied with the process. I really can only wish that Mission Van Lines can improve their operational excellence by employing less deceptive practices such as purposeful under-quoting and being transparent about them being a broker up-front. If you’re someone who can’t afford surprise price hikes, then I highly recommend you call Mission Van Lines and cancel your booking because from my experience, and those of others, it seems more than likely you will also be a victim of their under-quoting practice. You’d be better off contacting a moving company that actually handles your items directly because they will provide you with a far more accurate estimate upfront so you’re not forced into paying an additional sum upfront while your items are essentially held as ransom in a truck.

One last thing to note, a lot of the movers that Mission Van Lines contracts out are usually small operation companies who typically only accept payment via Zelle/Cashapp/Cash. So if you’re someone who is planning on putting it on a credit card then this might be a potential issue because they will demand cash/cash like payment methods. (I’m assuming they do this to avoid people charging back due to the surprise price hikes upon item pickup/delivery).

I wish you all luck on your moving journey and I hope this review can provide you a better idea of what to expect of you decide to move forward with using Mission Van Lines as your moving broker.

Absolutely raked me over. Once I found out what they did I tried to cancel but they would NOT give me my refund before the 7 days as says in legal paper work. SCUM OF THE EARTH. Do not work with them.

Stay away from this company!! They are a broker. Not a mover. Iwas given a price of $2400 for a truck from Phoenix to Georgia. When the movers arrived, they demanded an additional $7000 in order to make the move. This happened on the DAY OF THE MOVE. Then, Mission Van Lines stopped responding to my calls. Had to cancel it all and start over. Now I'm trying to get my money back from Mission Van Lines. It's a complete bait and switch operation

Do not book your move with this company. On top of all of the bad reviews they already have, they will hold onto your money as long as possible. The only way to get a refund from them is to contact your bank and file a dispute. Their customer service people are rude and unhelpful.

I canceled my move the same day I scheduled it because my credit card was charged $2400 before I could even send in the "credit card authorization form" they said was required before I would be charged. I never returned the form. They have a 72 hr cancellation window, or they keep your money anyway. I spoke with someone who said accounting would contact me ASAP. I didn't hear from anyone for 2 days, so I called dozens of times to no answer and a full mailbox. I also emailed but nobody answered those either. Finally, a week later I called and the same man answered. He said he'd go ahead and cancel it for me since I was well within the refund window and should be refunded. Why didn't he do this in the first place? It's been over 3 weeks, and I still have not been refunded. I would never recommend this company.

I would give them a zero if I could. My retired Navy Stepdad recently passed, and we needed to move our mom closer to us for support. The company Mission Van Lines contracted has a rating of 1.1 stars. Why would you ever use a company that bad? Money! This Veteran owned company as they say are full of it. Being a Veteran myself, I look after Veterans with best of intentions. This company was a mistake to use, I will let my Veteran community know about them, and help in any way possible to keep them from being recognized by the BBB, which they are not. Heed the warnings!!! RUN RUN RUN from this company!!!! N

These guys are not movers, they’re brokers. They sell the job to whoever will do it cheapest. My move was done by the *slimiest* scammers I’ve ever done business with in my life. Said my stuff would be there in 2-3 days, it didn’t arrive for 2 weeks. Stopped answering my texts and calls, AND JACKED UP THE PRICE BY DOUBLE ONCE THE TRUCK WAS LOADED. Then they tried to ask for even more money when they arrived. Things arrived scratched, damaged, broken, and no one makes any effort to check the inventory list they make upon pickup. I have never been scammed so badly in my life and I have learned my lesson. These people should be shut down.

Don't ever use this company. Read all of the reviews. I contracted with Mission Van Lines to move my things from Pennsylvania to Florida. NONE of the promises that were made worked out. This job was farmed out to Handle With Care Moving and Transportation. Don't ever use them either. The driver was a day late picking up my furniture. On the day they were supposed to arrive they were very late. Once my things were loaded the price increased substantially. We also had to tip the driver $650.00 or he would have dumped our stuff out on the street. The time to receive my things was much longer than stated. When the truck arrived and they started to bring the furniture into the house, I discovered it wasn't my furniture. The mover explained that my stuff was somewhere else. 4 days later he showed up with my stuff. EVERYTHING was damaged. My TV's were cracked. Mirrors were cracked. Every box was crushed and shredded. Many things were wet. Many things are missing. Mission Van Lines is a scam. Handle with Care is a scam. Lots more things to discuss, but I'll save it for court. This goes way beyond items damaged in transit. This is gross negligence. I will be filing complaints with the State DA's for Florida and Georgia and any other government agency I can find.
