My wife and I do not have any past experience with a buying home, but Morty made it sooooo easy. Not only did we get an amazing rate, but the online portal of submitting documents was super convenient and easy to use. I would recommend using Morty to anyone.

Easy process, good communication

Morty matched the best interest rates and had by far the lowest closing costs. The website had a great UI and made it easy to upload documents and check status. Where Morty falls down is communication. It was hard to, or took a while to, get a hold of the people on my closing team and they let a request for title documents sit for 20 days before I started harassing them for closing documents. We did close on time though so they upheld their end of the bargain in the end

Angela, Tim, and the Morty team were great. We closed (on new construction on acreage) in about 32 days. They were available by phone or email or if they weren’t, they generally responded quickly to text messages, voicemails, or emails. They provided a very low rate and had very low closing costs. I would definitely plan to use Morty again.

We were concerned going with an online company, but Morty did very good. The Morty "Closing Tracker" helps see the progress. Very happy!

Low rate and comparably low convenience. Long wait to contact a person, but everything turned out fine in the end and they were the cheapest I could find.

I never would have been able to navigate purchasing my home without Morty.
The enter team was super responsive and very helpful. I had previously tried to work directly with the lender, but found that there were unresponsive and not forthcoming. When I went through Morty, I ended up with the same lender, but the Morty team always answered my questions and gave me every bit of information I asked for - including questions about rates and costs. I would absolutely work with the Morty team again.

Morty easily had the best rate of 7 or 8 lenders I investigated. Mostly it went pretty well. However, Morty extensively utilizes electronic communications, which at times left me a bit uncertain about what was happening. For example, twice there were documents that were incorrect that I was asked to sign. When I contacted them, they said they would fix the documents. Instead, they created an addendum and asked me to sign both the incorrect document and the addendum. I found it a bit disconcerting that I had to sign an incorrect document, especially when I had already signed the addendum and no longer could view it to see how it was worded. Both myself and the title company were a bit surprised by how they communicated almost exclusively by email, and phone numbers to the specific persons I needed to talk to were not always available. Morty has several people that play different roles in the loan process, so that who you are working with shifts over time. All-in-all, they took care of business and offered pretty good service, but the process left me a little unsettled at times. They met my needs, but if I didn't have a back up plan or had not been through numerous loan processes in the past, I think I would have been more concerned.

My experience with Morty is positive. The online process is generally efficient.
Response to questions is usually prompt.

Morty (particularly Angela and Noah) was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. I found Morty through LendingTree and from getting quotes to final approval, each step of the way went smoothly. As first time home purchasers, we found their quick responses to our emails, texts, and phone calls very helpful to our peace of mind.

Great rate but communication through the whole process was awful and closing ended up being delayed because of it.

I worked with Paige and Jack and had an excellent experience securing a mortgage on a 2nd home. The rate was great (almost unbelievable) and I was very pleased to be connected to a reputable national lender through Morty. Paige contacted me within an hour of my initial application and the process of uploading documents was very easy. I did notice some of the other reviewers noted communication issues; however, I found that communicating through email worked very well. When my attorney’s office had questions for the lender, Jack got involved and solved the issues quickly. When our seller caused a delay in closing, Morty went above and beyond and obtained a rate lock extension for us. When our area had a delay with appraisals, the Morty team was able to cut through the delay and get our appraisal scheduled in a timely fashion. Morty will definitely be my “go to” mortgage broker for this type of transaction in the future and I have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and family!

I liked the Morty tracker, the advisers could give a little more instruction to those of us who may not be familiar with uploading documents or exactly which statements and how to get them off your banks online format.

Smooth and easy process from start to finish. Morty team was very responsive throughout the process. Their online interface was easy to use for uploading documents, tracking status, etc. Their rate was the best compared to several other lenders.
