The chairs here are horrific! However the service has been excellent. Very happy Sean Faggetter kept us updated and got the car ready quickly and Leighton organised a fair deal.

Very happy with my experience overall had an issue with my vehicle shortly after purchase and Leighton was amazing he looked after me gave me a courtesy car while they repaired my vehicle no questions asked.
Leighton the sales manager went above and beyond and i couldn’t have asked for anything more. Be confident knowing if any issues pop up motor range Manchester will look after you.

Well what can I say

Well what can I say , SUPERB that's what ! I live in Cornwall and have been searching for a BMW M235i , I found one on the Motor Range website but this was in Manchester an awful long way from me , I enquired about it and requested a video ,Leighton (sales manager) rang me straight away and was extremely helpful and informative, a great video was sent by Furcon,I decided to go ahead with the purchase and decided to fly to Manchester ,I informed the dealership about this and spoke to Aaron who was great and kindly arranged that I would be picked up at the airport, I was met on arrival as promised by Adam the Salesman who would be looking after me, This whole experience for step 1 to finish was an absolute joy , I will also say when at the dealership everybody that had been dealing with me came and introduced themselves and made me feel so welcome, I was so surprised being such a big site how personal and friendly the service was, very refreshing indeed ! Adam , Leighton , Aaron and Furcon you are a credit to the business 🙌 . Oh yeah , nearly forgot , the car was Awsome too 😁

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH MOTOR RANGE MANCHESTER- poor service and broken promises

Very disappointed with my experience at Motor Range after purchasing my Hyundai Ioniq last month.

We had an appointment scheduled for 11 AM, but after arriving, we were left waiting nearly 2 hours just to meet a salesperson. Eventually we met the sales manager, Mr. Andy, and unfortunately the experience only became worse from there.

We felt pressured into purchasing their ceramic coating package, costing nearly £500, and it was made to feel like the car would not be sold to us otherwise. This approach was entirely inappropriate and created a highly uncomfortable situation for us.

The finance process was handled by Mohammed, who was also extremely unresponsive and irresponsible throughout the process. Delivery of the car took almost 2 weeks, despite several promises. When we took the finance, we specifically asked if we could close the finance agreement at any time, and we were told yes. However, after a couple of days, when we contacted them saying we wanted to close the finance, we were told that we could not do so without paying an extra £500 penalty to Motor Range. When we checked directly with the finance company, they confirmed that there was no such penalty. This completely damaged our trust in them.

Before delivery, the salesperson clearly promised that the vehicle would come with 4 new tyres. However, when the car was delivered, the tyres were old and worn. When we raised the issue, we were told to “come next week” or arrange for someone else to replace them because we live over an hour away. Since then, I have been calling continuously for the past 2 weeks, but nobody responds properly or transfers the call to the concerned person.

To make matters worse, while our car was parked at their premises, someone hit and damaged it. We immediately informed the dealership and simply requested CCTV footage so we could proceed with an insurance claim. However, they have still not provided any response or support regarding the matter.

I genuinely do not understand how a reputed company can treat customers this way. Poor communication, broken promises, lack of responsibility, and terrible customer service from start to finish.

Would not recommend.

Honest review make sure you are happy before taking the car as aftercare is shocking

Honest review – make sure you are 100% happy before taking the car, as aftercare is appalling

When we first visited to look at cars, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They even provided a large umbrella due to the typical Tameside weather, and we were given a free hot chocolate to warm up. Unfortunately, this is where the good service ends.

After choosing my car, I was asked for a £500 deposit. Given the current cost of living, I couldn’t stretch to that and instead offered £100. I was made to feel like this was a “weak” deposit, which was quite uncomfortable, although they did eventually accept it.

The car needed some bodywork — scrapes on both the front and rear bumpers and a dent in the roof. I was assured this would all be sorted, along with the MOT, and was given an estimated completion date. This date was pushed back twice, but I didn’t mind as I wanted everything done properly. In total, they had the car for 15 days after I paid my deposit.

Finally, collection day arrived with an 11:00 appointment. We turned up to find the car still had the same damage — nothing had been done. The salesperson greeted us confidently, saying the car was ready, but when we pointed out the issues, he blamed the service department and admitted he hadn’t checked the car himself in those 15 days.

I then asked about the MOT, and again was assured it had been completed — only for a senior member of staff to confirm that it hadn’t been done either. In fact, nothing had been done at all.

At this point, I’ll admit I felt worn down after waiting so long and agreed to take the car anyway, trusting them to arrange the MOT and repairs afterwards.

I then had to chase them myself to book everything in, despite being told they would contact me. To be fair, the salesperson did come to my house to collect the car for the MOT and returned it afterwards, but without any paperwork. I was told this would be emailed to me, which again didn’t happen — I had to chase it up.

Over a week later, I still hadn’t been contacted about the bodywork, so I had to call yet again. This time, I had to take time out of work to drop off and collect the car myself. As a gesture of apology, they put £30 of fuel in the car.

Overall, I feel that as soon as the sale is made, customer care disappears. The aftercare was honestly shocking, and I had to repeatedly chase for things that should have been handled proactively.

I know my name is Karen — and I never once acted like one — but I do feel my patience and politeness were mistaken for weakness.

If you are going to buy a car from here, my advice is simple: make sure everything is 100% complete before you take it, because once you do, getting anything sorted afterwards is a real struggle.

Poor aftercare

Overall great sale process, salesman was really helpful, came into work on his day off just to finalise the sale then I could have my new car.

It is the aftercare and customer service that is shocking. As a part ex-change motor rage will pay off my previous finance company (redline) and I am now with Blackhorse finance with my new car. After purchasing & receiving my car I have had a payment come out of my account from my previous finance company. I rang them asking why this was as I sold my car 2 weeks ago. She informed me that the loan was very much still with myself for £9,500 and motor range had not made a payment to pay this off which she informed me should usually be done within 2 days of selling the car and to contact motor range as this is unusual. I stated that I would cancel my direct debit and she informed me not to as it’s in my name currently so it will effect my credit score if another payment try’s to come out. all other cars I have perviously sold this has been done immediately. So I currently still have 2 loans in my name with 2 separate payments coming out of my account in the same month. I have been trying to contact motor range for days to try and resolve this to get it paid as I want my extra payment refunded just to be told several times “we will ring you back”, passed from person to person. This call never comes, I am getting no help with this what so ever, now the sale as gone though they don’t want to know.

I will be escalating this further if another payment comes out an I am not refunded the extra payment as I can not afford to pay for 2 desperate loans that equals to around £600 per month when motor range should have cleared this before another payment got taken!
