Great Staff, Great Service.

Im a very happy returing customer.. I've bought 2 cars from Rob West ( who was recommended by friends) and decided to change it again after 3 years. I arrived with the intention of dealing with Rob again, as I walked towards the office, I heard a loud, cheery voice shout " HI, CAN I HELP YOU"?
I turned around to be met by a very happy Jason Williams who escorted me inside and Rob came over to say Hi and we had a catch up. I had written down 2 cars already in mind, we discussed them both and I went with my favourite make. I put a deposit down and left to await further contact. After sleeping on it, I decided that I didn't like the colour and researched further cars. I emailed Jason with a million questions who rang me back to discuss.
I chose a newer, more expensive car and I was really happy with the new colour.
I purchased the car today and am extremely happy with it, I didn't know there was voice recognition to type and send return messages, hee hee!
At no time did Rob or Jason pressure me into anything, they certainly dont encourage you to overspend. They are very honest in their professional opinion and they advise and allow you to make your own decision. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys and that's why I returned for my third car.
All the staff at Motorange are friendly and I observed them interact with other customers, they are all a credit to MR.

Car misrepresented – major faults within months - avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs.

In August 2025 this dealership sold a car to my elderly, disabled father (a RAF veteran) claiming it had Full Service History and a valid 7-year Kia warranty. We were persuaded to purchase an additional warranty on the basis that the Kia warranty “didn’t cover everything”.

The car broke down in February 2026 with major turbo and injector failure despite being only 5 years old and purchased at around 14,000 miles. We later discovered it had not been properly serviced or re-MOT’d before leaving the forecourt, despite being told it had been.

We were also told Kia service history is “online only” and that this was why no service book was provided. We have since confirmed with Kia dealers that this is incorrect.

The dealership has now admitted the vehicle has **no service history whatsoever**.

They are refusing to accept return of the vehicle and are describing the situation as “he said / she said”, despite the fact the assurances were given repeatedly before purchase. Both Kia and the finance company have advised that the vehicle is not fit for purpose and the matter is now under formal investigation.

This situation has caused significant stress to a vulnerable customer. We are escalating through finance and the relevant ombudsman.

Buyers should proceed with extreme caution.

I highly recommend Motor Range car…

I highly recommend Motor Range car sales. My car broke down and it was so old - not worth fixing again. After looking at many paces we end up here and it was so nice to have enough time to look around and we were not pushed for hard sales.
Would like to give a shout to Paul Eastwood ant this branch and say Thank you for his professionalism, great advice and no question was left unanswered. We got new car super clean and sparkly, all documents were prepared perfectly. Paul sorted all!

Ryan was very helpful right from the start!

Ryan was really helpful from the start. Gave us a clear understanding of what it would cost for the car and everything included and made sure everything was perfect for handover. He kept in contact and made sure any questions I asked he answered and didnt mither me pestering him with lots and lots every day.

Car part not ordered

My wife bought a car from motor range aintree and everything was fine with the car until we noticed a cover missing from the front of the car to cover the towbar.

I rang motor range and my wife spoke to Andre the sales person who then promised to order the part for us.

Today I have had to chase up were the part is as it is now 2 weeks since it should of been ordered the lady at the service department checked and then told me the part had not been ordered by Andre and she would have to speak to him.

Why is it that a simple task of ordering a part just gets put to one side hoping that the customer would just forget about it and not ring back is it a lack of customer service training or a case of not being bothered ?

Let us see if someone reads this and then we then get the usual response it will be addressed in the next customer training for our sales person. it can't be that hard ordering a small part surely ?

5 star experience

Had a great experience at Switch Island Motor Range trading in our Yaris for something bigger. Allen talked us through it all and made the whole process easy from start to finish, he was honest and helpful and just generally a nice guy! Thanks again!

POOR EXPERIENCE

I viewed a car and after test driving it I was considering having it.The salesman told me the sale finished that day and after that day the car would go back to the original price which was £ 400 more expensive if I did not sign up to it that day.I didnt believe him.so I didnt buy it that day and surprise, the car is the same price nearly a week later.....DON'T LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS....WE ARE NOT IDIOTS!!!!
