Twice I've had problems with used gear. In one instance it was the bungee cords on a very well used lumbar pack. I both cases communications were extremely easy and the gear was repaired rapidly and without charge. This company stands behind their products.

Absolutely stunned with the quality of the K9 Backpack, it has many point of adjustment to fit perfectly every shape of dogs and it has a lot of space (2x 5 liters for the Medium), the materials are hard-wearing and also very well water resistant (waterproof would have been even better but that's Ok).
I Appreciate the reflective stripes on the sides and on the front, for safety.
Once you make it fit to your dog right, it doesn't move at all even with very active dogs that run and jump all over all the time (like my Malinois), it seems my dog doesn't even feel it when out Hiking!
A slightly narrower front panel would fit better dogs with narrow chest.
Also on the top panel the leash ring on the front side (close to the dog's neck) make it a bit uncomfortable to use it because it makes shrink the top back panel itself, so having a leash ring at the end of the top back panel would work better.
Overall I am very impressed by the workmanship of the product of this brand and I surely reccomend it!

Hello Mountainsmith. I had a 25+ year old sprit day pack which I loved and it traveled all over the US with me on many day hikes and snowshoe hikes. A great backpack for sure. As it was getting older and starting to wear, I decided to replace it with a new pack. I choose a new Day pack. It arrived today and I have already transferred all my items from the old pack to the new one. I love it! Workmanship is excellent and the pack itself is very comfortable. Thank you for a ojb well done.

Poor customer service. I purchased a set of walking poles for about $90. They were foldable and I could not straighten them and lock them. I watched several videos on the net but was unable to lock the walking stick. I left 4 messages on the number on the Mountainsmith website but they failed to return any call. I sent an e-mail and got a response saying "hey" and referred me to the internet.
I went to the post office with the address on the Mountainsmith website but the post office worker showed me that the address was wrong. So I searched the internet and used the alternate address.
The company still has not contacted me so today I sent an e-mail and was informed that the poles are being returned because I sent them to the repair place.
The company does not offer any support.
