SCAMMERS
The only reason for 1 star is because 0 stars isn't an option. I am incredibly unhappy with the process of moving with frontline. First, I was told several times that I would be reached out to to confirm inventory and discuss the move before moving day. That did not happen. When the movers showed up, they decided that there was more cubic footage than originally estimated. We did add a few small items, but they basically said that the estimating software had made a mistake and every item consumed more cubic feet than the estimate stated. I got estimates from a dozen movers with the exact same photos and exact same inventory list and everybody was very close to the same cubic footage. Now the foreman on site was saying there was an extra 300 cubic feet. They wanted to charge an extra $2,200. I called and spoke with Tyler and he said he negotiated with the foreman and got it down to an additional $1,400 higher than my original estimate for a total of $4,800. I was furious, but it was the day of the move, and I was already across the country, so I had no choice. 15 minutes later, the foreman told my wife that the total was actually $5,600. I told him there was no possible way I was paying that much money. I was told to just pay it and he would try to get my deposit back. I wasn't comfortable agreeing to that. My wife ended up getting the foreman to agree to the $4800 total. The crew foreman also told my wife that the new house would need to have semi-truck access or we would be charged a shuttle fee. I spoke with Tyler because from the time I was quoted, I was told the house had to have access for a 20' box truck (he even looked at it on google maps and said it had room). He assured me that was still the case. He said they would not be driving a semi-truck. The crew loaded the truck and left and when my wife went out to the garage where everything was located, she saw that they had left 3 containers full of our stuff! We ended up having to give this stuff away because we had no room in our vehicle to bring it. I was told over and over that these movers were employees of frontline. I do not believe that's the case. They showed up wearing shirts from Barahona's moving and storage. They also had hand trucks with the same company name on them. My wife remembered that there is an Apple Air tag in the stuff that's packed on that truck. I tracked it and it was located at Barahona's Moving and Storage in Los angeles. This is also after I had been told it was en route a week prior. I called Tyler and he said he was told they were en route. He had me forward him the screenshot of the tracker. Finally I get a call from dispatch that comes up on my phone as Barahona's Moving and Storage. He informs me that they will be leaving California on Sunday the 15th and would deliver within 5-7 days. This move was supposed to be 6-10 days from the time it was picked up. Now we were ooking at almost 4 weeks. We had been living in a new home in a new state without our things for 3 weeks now. And on top of it, the dispatcher said they will in fact be in a semi-truck and that if I dont have room for it, they will have to rent a uhaul truck and charge me a shuttle fee. This entire process has been a disaster and Frontline Moving has done nothing they said they were going to do. They have misrepresented and misinformed me every step of the way. I spoke with Tyler again after i spoke with the dispatcher and even after assuring me several times over the 2 weeks prior that he could get my deposit back from MoveIq, now he told me that he can not get it returned and apparently no one could tell me how much I was going to owe at delivery. I haf to buy pots and pans and clothing to keep us going until our things got here. I have one of the very first texts from Frontline that says
"This is an all-inclusive rate. We handle the lifting, loading, wrapping, protection, transportation, and placement of vour items at delivery. Everything from start to finish is taken care of by our team
For your move from Visalia to syracuse, the estimated timeframe from pick-up tc delivery is 8 to 12 days.
Your total comes to $3,401.12. No hidden fees, no surprises - just straightforward service."
Nothing in that entire message has been true.
The move ended up taking over 4 weeks and instead of the $3400 I originally signed for, they got me for over $5600. The company is full of liars and scammers.
