Real Customer service

Wanted to return earrings, found you can’t if ‘seal broken’. Spoke to a lovely customer services lady who is going to take further to try to help me. And they have refunded. Very impressed with their ability to listen and take prompt action.

Du Pachamama, 2 fois plus cher !

Acquis un cardigan sans manches Fairisle.
Le pull présenté sur le site ne porte aucune étiquette.
Le lieu de fabrication n'est nulle part précisé.
À réception, je découvre que ledit cardigan, très médiocrement tricoté, a été fabriqué au Népal pour Pachamama qui vend ce même tricot quasi moitié moins cher (79,99€) ! La chose est si affreuse que je ne peux décemment la donner : elle finit donc à la poubelle.
La loi du commerce, certes, n'est pas tendre, mais ici domine le sentiment (dissimulation de la marque du fabricant) d'un manque sérieux de loyauté.
En tout cas, je n'y reviendrai pas et vous invite à la plus extrême prudence...

The item I ordered did not meet…

The item I ordered did not meet description in the catalogue. It was a flimsy piece of cardboard, we I called to complain I was told to return it at my expense and then I would receive a refund. The person I spoke to kept quoting the description in the catalog. It was a forest railway advent calendar. After this experience I will not be using them again.

Placed an order for three items

Placed an order for three items, one of which was a sunflower brooch. When the parcel arrived I couldn't find the brooch. I checked the order and and shhk out all of the packing paper. (There was a lot).
The brooch was wrapped in the packing paper. Thankfully I found it or it would have gone to the recycling bin with the packing paper. By the way everything else was packed very well

Not refunding for returned goods

My wife and I have bought from Museum Selection a number of items over many years. Recently we returned three items. We were refunded for two. I contacted the company and the third items was immediately refunded. Unfortunately the £22.38 refund for the first two items which I was informed had been refunded on 30th July this year has not appeared in my bank account. I have emailed the company a number of times and all they will say is 'contact your bank'. As this has never happed to me before I know it is not a problem with my bank but with Museum Selection. If necessary I will take legal action if they do not refund my money and will never buy from this company again.

I loved the gifts I ordered for…

I loved the gifts I ordered for Christmas. However I must have unwittingly ticked or not ticked a box. My data has been sold to a variety of charities I’m now getting inundated with mail wanting donations. All have said my data came from the museum selection originally. They have advised me to sign up with the mailing preference service to enable it to stop.

Unlike other customers we have always…

Unlike other customers we have always been very pleased with our products. However there is a problem with delivery, since they have stopped using DPD and are now using royal mail I am disappointingly getting deliveries at 7.30 at night. We are disabled so this is not good for us.

Is this a con?

I feel I have been scammed. A 'first time buyer' offered a 10% discount. Except it doesn't happen. Supposed to receive an email with discount 'code'. No such email. Apology from 'customer services' - more lack of any services.
I have bought a product because it was itemised by a friend for a special birthday but at full price PLUS 10% delivery. Yes, feels like a rip off...

Tried to purchase a bookcase

Tried to purchase a bookcase, which was stated as being 'pre-order'. A couple of days later this order was cancelled, and I was told 'not in stock'. Well, I knew that, as I had bought a pre-order item. I complained that the unavailable item was still on the online shop. I was told it would be removed, which it eventually was. A week to 10 days later, guess what? It is back on the shop again. I will try to buy it again, but wonder if the same thing will happen, and my money will be returned. If it does, I will be sure of some fairly shady goings on here.

ok great little silver pendant not enamoured of them selling you info

ok great little silver pendant, however is it sterling silver?? why is it not marked 925 at least??
WHY do they not put a card in with the phrase that is engraved on these things?? Especially when it is a gift and a bangle costs £125 not cheap!
Presentation box is a bit underwhelming and nearly £6 for delivery? still takes 5 days to come.
In all product is delightful if it is real silver
How can they sell your information on?? (as per review below)

PS. January 2025 on top of all that they have just hiked the price of by £3 really? in addition chain is much shorter than in picture.

Regarding your concern about the silver, this pendant is composed of 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper, with a weight of 3.25 grams as confirmed by our supplier. Our delivery charges are based on an average weight of all customer orders. Recent years have seen substantial increases in fuel prices and multiple price increases from Royal Mail, Yodel, DPD and other delivery companies we use, driven by inflation and current global conflicts. We have held our delivery charges as long as possible but regret that with no end in sight for these ongoing increases, we can no longer continue to do so. They sell your information!

The item I bought was not of good quality and this would make me wary of buying again.

The most annoying aspect of the transaction is the way they have sold my information to other companies and charities. I know it was them as the new mail comes with the same mistake in my name which Museum Selection make. I am now inundated with charities with which I have no relationship or affinity requesting money from me! Wouldn’t go near them. If I could have given them no stars I would.

Une étoile est encore trop.....

Première commande faite à cette société : un article qui nous a convenu. On l'a gardé. Pas de suite donnée.

Seconde commande : 4 articles commandés dont 2 renvoyés car l'un n'était pas conforme du tout avec la photo du catalogue et l'autre ne valait vraiment pas le prix. Retour des 2 articles en question dans les temps et conformément aux conditions. Il a fallu 4 appels téléphoniques pour obtenir enfin le remboursement au bout de plus d'un mois et demi. Des appels extrêmement pénibles car les 2 personnes auxquelles j'ai eu affaire sont d'une grande mauvaise foi et très désagréables. Et en tous cas pas dignes d'un service clients. On est très mal traités et ne pas attendre d'excuses : ils ne savent pas ce qu'est le respect dû aux clients. A présent, cette maison ne fait plus partie de mes fournisseurs.

Delighted with the ornamental Robin stake.

I ordered a Robin redbreast stake for my garden last week, it was delivered within 3 days. When it arrived l was so pleased that I've now ordered 5 more as presents for my friends.

J'ai commandé un vêtement sur muséum…

J'ai commandé un vêtement sur muséum collection, malgré un délai un peu long ( mais je le savais à l'avance ), l'article est conforme à la photo du catalogue, les broderies sont magnifiques et la taille respectée. Je recommande ce site par correspondance.

I just received an Iris vase which I paid £40 for. The image shown before buying was a tall rectangular vase. What I received was a small round vase nothing like the image. I won't be buying from the Company again

Brilliant company and products

I have purchased numerous items from Museum Selection and have always been happy with both the service and products. They have lovely gifts, that have been well received by family and friends. I have once had a problem with a damaged product, but that was remedied by MS quickly and efficiently! Royal Mail is used as their delivery agent and I am more than happy that they do!
