The boys were fantastic helping me with a flat battery the day before our service. We’d also had new tyres on our other car. Very happy 😃

The service was good take me home then pick me up when service was done. I was presented with a account for $438-12 which I paid later I checked the service charge for a GWM Haval 6 to find it was only $280-00
I approached the manger about the price he said they did a different service for the extra cost when they were only supposed to do a 2nd book service so there was no price matching. I think this was a rip-off.
I SHALL NEVER USE THAT SERVICE AGAIN.

I made a booking for 4 new tyres and a wheel alignment at MyCar Hastings. I made my booking online 3 days in advance and the tyres were confirmed as available. My booking was at 8am so I could get back to work in time and I paid for the tyres and wheel alignment in full online.

When I arrived at MyCar Hastings, I was told by the service manager that the system showed I had to pay for the tyres before the work could commence. It seemed strange the system would say it was unpaid when I had payment confirmation via email. I then had to show proof of payment before the service manager would believe me.

Then I was told the tyers I had ordered 3 days in advance for an 8am appointment would not arrive until 1pm. The service manager had all my details printed off on the job sheet on his desk, including the tyers I had ordered, the time of the appointment and my mobile number. I asked the service manager why he didn’t call me to tell me the tyers hadn’t arrived yet as he could clearly see all the details on the job sheet. The service manager said it wasn’t his responsibility to make sure the tyres arrived, and the delivery was out of his hands.

I said fine, but a curtesy call would have been a simple fix, the service manager said that's not his responsibility either. He then asked me why I was making this such an issue. I said the issue is I have made plans for an 8am job and have travelled 30 minutes to get the tyres changed and I need to get back to work. Its unfair to expect that I can change my work commitments with no notice.

The service manager said the only option was to come back after 1pm when the tyres should arrive. I told the services manager I had to be back at work and couldn’t do 1pm, so I asked for a refund. When I asked for a refund the service manager refused the refund and said he wouldn’t cancel the order. He said I had to come back and that was the only option.

I then had to waste more time calling the MyCar Care Team at head office to agree to the refund. I also had to drive to the Hasting store the next day to access my refund via the eftpos machine.

To say this was a very bad service experience is an understatement. What happened to polite, friendly and helpful customer service, especially when a customer has spent $500 at your store.

mycar have a business model that is all professional...from the booking service, to the open plan workshops so you can see how they work, to the polished follow up services and of course to their pricing. I've used other tyre fitting providers, but always come back to mycar for tyres because they do the best job at the best prices. Kind of simple really.
