I had a log book service and I noticed they didn’t put oil in my car as it was empty

When I pulled up there was an employee sitting just outside the workshop and reception smoking a cigarette then when I “checked in” I was advised that everyone has just gone to lunch so the new Tyers won’t be fitted for another hour and there for the car won’t be ready for another two hours after the check in time

I had no problems with John as he was friendly and experienced in relaying back to me what needed to be done to my car. The only fault as not giving 5 stars my car key that was returned to me was in worse condition than when I handed it in. The key won’t go into folding position.

I brought my car in because of some unsettling noise from the engine. Turned out to be alternator problems which was promptly fixed by Mycar South Morang. Customer service was fantastic, I highly recommend.

Disappointing and unreasonable RWC experience

This was the worst Roadworthy Certificate experience I’ve had in over 35 years of owning vehicles. The inspection felt excessively picky, with issues raised that appeared to fall outside standard RWC requirements (for example, wheel alignment), giving the impression that the scope of work was being expanded unnecessarily.

I was quoted in excess of $3,200 to bring the vehicle up to RWC standard. After obtaining independent opinions, two separate mechanics estimated the required work at approximately half that amount and advised that some items listed were picky and/or not required for a roadworthy.

I returned within the permitted 14-day re-inspection period, having completed all items requested in the report as soon as I could. I was then informed that the RWC inspector was on leave and that a new inspection would need to be conducted the following day, at additional cost, as it would fall outside the 14-day window. Being asked to pay again due to staff availability or RDOs is neither reasonable nor customer-focused.

Overall, the experience felt unfair and poorly managed, and I would not recommend this service based on customer service, transparency, or value.

Nick and the team did a great job getting my car back up to scratch and identified a few things that need to be fixed that other mechanics didn’t care to tell me about. Thanks again guys.
