The results!!! Amazing information given. I have to say that I feel very very satisfied with the money I paid vs. the information I received. I feel it is totally worth it.

Prolonged testing resulting in requests for more samples. When I requested a full refund 3 times they all of a sudden posted report on original sample. Do not spend your money on testin here.

Great communication when I needed a question answered and called on the phone. Email communication keeping me informed of the progress of the tests was excellent.

I was kept up to date on the progress of the testing results and was very pleased with the final report and how comprehensive the data was.

This is my first time using this company. After the first tests failing it seemed to take a long time to get the results for the second test. I’m not sure i like the format of the results.

Fast enough

I used this product a lot and I really liked that it was fast and comprehensive. At some point they started using an Edmonton based lab for samples based out of Canada. Since this time, the results are often wrong, they don’t correct them when asked. They loose samples, mix up samples, their results end up being incomplete often. I ordered 4 tests in Nov2024, I have had to re-submit swabs now 4 times, and some results are completely incorrect, some are incomplete, and one has been “misplaced” every time and they are now asking me for another swab, the 4th! I have been trying to be patient but it is very clear to me now that the Edmonton Lab is the issue. They can’t seem to get one thing correct. I will be going back to Optimal Selection as it is now mid-April and I still don’t have results on a test ordered in Nov2023, which I re-submitted 4 times! This Lab is well aware of their mistakes as I have emailed them about 8 times. I finally asked for a refund, and they wanted to give me a credit, but I don’t feel that they’re worth my time any longer. The last results were very obviously not even for the correct cat, all of it was 100% incorrect!

From the time they received the swabs, it took 18 business days to receive the results. On their web site, it states up to 14 business days for results. On day 16, I called for an update and I was told they would send me email that afternoon with an update, I did not receive an email.

With a science background I found the results to be more encompassing than optimal selection. They list phenotype with the associated nomenclature in the results. I will be using again.
