They said they would refund but still have not. Salih Ozkaya with email salam at mywakala dot com states they have to wait for dispute to settle whereas the payment system is waiting on them. There are no tax IDs to show they are a valid charity. Also the website changes from mysadaka to mywakayla. They only respond when you raise a dispute otherwise would not respond. I have read other places that could not find a physical presence of them on the ground, and locals have never heard of them either.

No evidence provided, correspodence poor. Refund requested.

These people are a scam. Do not trust them. I have not received video evidence as they had initially promised

Mywakala.com (English site) and Mysadaka.com (French site) are a scam. They remove bad reviews from their site and do not perform the acts they say they will. I purchased 3 Umrah Badal (Umrah by proxy) from them for my parents and myself. I waited 15 days for the confirmation certificate and videos that they promised (three videos for each umrah to show the du'as being made at the Meeqaat, Sa'i, and Tawaf as evidence that the umrah was performed in each of our names). When I looked at the videos two were identical but had different voice-overs to make it seem as if Sa'i had been done for each of my parents separately, but it could not have been with the exact same video. My Sa'i video had the name of some other person, not my name. Then, my Tawaf and Meeqat videos had been cut and pasted (the video repeated twice) with a voiceover over it to make it look as if the dua was made while performing each part of the Umrah. When I contacted the company (I purchased through mywakala.com, but mysadaka.com was the email of the person who got back to me eventually), Salih told me that it was just a momentary glitch in the video and that all Sa'i videos look similar since they are performed the same way. I pointed out that the clothing and individuals in the videos were exactly the same, no difference at all, yet the audio was different. After this, they no longer responded to any of my communications asking for an explanation and a full refund.
