Customer service experience

Horrible company. I ordered a refrigerated product. When you place the order normally, they force 2-day shipping and place in an insulated bag, ensuring it's good when it gets to you. When you place a subscription order, they force USPS (week-long) shipping and do *not* use an insulated bag - resulting in spoiled product. They refused to refund, saying it's still good warm for two weeks. First of all, where's your proof - second, if it's so good, why won't you take it back? Had to deal with an AI chatbot before needing to call customer support anyway. Additionally - they shipped two subscription items I previously tried to cancel, then made me pay for shipping to return the product. I'll never shop with them again.

Update: I received quick resolution from their customer service leadership team after this review. It's possible that I caught the wrong rep on the wrong day. I wish it hadn't come to this escalation, but I really appreciate their efforts to make things right in the end.

Bad Packaging

I liked this company until they started shipping the products in flimsy, cheap mailers that could easily allow for damage to the supplements. It's not their fault the USPS damaged a product and dented it, but good packaging likely would have prevented it. In the past, I did receive most most of my orders from NHC in boxes, but now they have resorted to using bad quality shipping materials and the shipping label wasn't even placed on it correctly. What's more is that I called NHC customer service the day I received my package to tell them about it. The customer service rep was less than enthusiastic and indifferent to what happened and did not apologize or handle it well. Too bad for NHC. I was planning on buying a number of items from them pretty soon.

!!Do not order from this company they…

!!Do not order from this company they are scammers!! First they sent me expired products and refused to give me a refund. Second of all they put me on a subscription that I canceled cause I never requested to be put on a one . Then they put me back on a subscription and charged me twice. I called them and spoke to a Jessica and asked for a refund she told me " No it has already been shipped" then hung up. If I could give them zero stars I would and will be reporting them to the BBB!

I placed an order late last night and…

I placed an order late last night and immediately realized that I had ordered the wrong version of a product on the nhc.com website. The product strength and amount was exactly the same, and packaging nearly identical except for one word of text.
I sent an email in response to the order confirmation within 10 minutes, and also left a phone message.
I was surprised to see an immediate response from AN AI AGENT telling me that the order I placed minutes ago could not be canceled!
It was barely in the system, definitely not packed and certainly not shipped!!!
I called CS first thing the morning and they told me that they were aware that I wanted to cancel the order, but would do nothing about it.
Apparently even while the packed items did not even have a tracking number/shipping label they could not cancel and stop them from leaving the warehouse!
GIVE ME A BREAK, I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CLOWNS, AND RECOMMEND YOU DON'T EITHER.

Malfunctioning order system...very poor.customer services

I Ordered rxvitamins alginate plus from nhc Dec 2025 with my latitude MasterCard.. it was send successfully..i .attempted to reorder same supp 30 jan 2026 with same latitude card and giving same delivery address i.have lived at same address for 35yrs nd had card same amt of time..with this same address...order was not placed online syst send me msg "try again"...which I did..order was not accepted..looking at my latitude account I had 2charges pending....I called nhc was told no order placed...I contacted latitude to cancel these two transactions...6feb 2026 I attempted to order online again..same msg..my latitude had another 3rd pending transaction..I called nhc to place the order via ph..the operator tried first with my latitude card it didn't get accepted..then we tried my visa credit card then my visa debit card..3 diff cards all 35yrs old..all.with same address...all 3transactions are pending on my accounts plus the other 2 from 30jan....I send multiple emails to nhc attaching screenshots of all 5 bank transactions totalling usd 500..I send screenshot of address details on these cards...only response I got 2x is that address I hav given for delivery does not match address on my cards and to try a diff card...both of which is incorrect..my address remains same...I tried 3 diff cards from diff.banks.. my.recent emails remain unanswered..I requested a mgr to.look into this no reply...2days ago I called the retail centre as cust service doesn't answer calls...the operator told me she will pass onto her mgr to talk to mgr at service centre.and they will call me back...at.my call today I was told nothing they.can do.. i urgently need this supp for a 9yr old child..this is so extremely disappointing ....and unprofessional..nhc hav given me a reason that is not correct..it appears no1 actually looked into this. I'm.still.chasing my aud $791..usd 500

Love NHC

I'm sorry to see some negative reviews. I've always been extremely pleased with NHC. I order online. Orders are always filled accurately and delivered timely. Love the convenience, selection and pricing.

10+ yr customer - LEAVING

I've been a customer for over 10 years. They switched their systems over with no testing - everything is lost. My payment methods, my rewards points, everything. This is the third day since the switch. Even the phone number is incorrect. When I finally got someone on the phone all she could say is that they know about the problems, they can't do anything about it, and their customers are just screwed. I am moving my business elsewhere; after they straighten out their systems I will cash in all my rewards points and find another supplier. It is UNFATHOMABLE and UNETHICAL for a company to just switch systems without notifying customers or doing any testing up front. DO NOT USE

Bait & Switch Coupon Scam

I placed an order using coupons. They sent a confirmation email showing they accepted my coupons & showing the charge to my credit card. I received the products with a receipt showing they charged my credit card a higher price. I contacted them to correct the mistake and, first, was told, we don't accept more than 1 coupon at a time. In another email, they changed the reason to, I had already used 1 of the coupons in the past. Which is it? If they had a glitch in their system, they should've contacted me with the issue before shipping my items. That's what an honest co. would do. But to send an email with one price and then charge my credit card a higher price behind my back? Sounds like bait & switch to me. After looking at their reviews, it looks like this is standard practice for this co. To make matters worse, I went to my credit card co. (Discover) about this. And they chose to back the merchant. The only recourse is to let others know about this co. To echo another review, AVOID THIS CO. If we can’t trust an email order confirmation at face value, and the credit card co. won’t make them honor it, how are we, the customers, supposed to protect ourselves from other companies doing this to us in the future?

Order Never Arrived, no customer service.

I placed my order over two months ago and still haven’t received it. When I contacted customer service, the only reply I got was that they “can’t see tracking updates.” No further help or follow-up since then. Very disappointing — this feels like a scam.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam. I bought some items for a good price. But after 4 days of non-shipment, I wrote in because I suspected something.

True enough the reply came that the order was canceled because my email had been blacklisted.

But the fact was that it was my first time ordering from them.

I think it was just a case of listing an item at either too cheap a price or being out of stock.

But to allege that a customers email had been blacklisted instead, shows the integrity that this organization has.

Avoid This Company

There are so many herbal companies out there. AVOID THIS ONE! They take ZERO responsibility for shipping errors and the customer is responsible for sending back orders at OUR cost. They do not supply return labels even if the ship out was their error. Bad practices equals bad company. Take your money elsewhere.

Hassle not worth it

They somehow changed my username to the wrong name and I had no account to log into but I was being charged. When I inquired about the charge, I was never told what it was for. I disputed it with my bank. I tried ordering something else, and it was canceled by NHC because of the dispute. I canceled the dispute, and now I can’t order from them again until 3 months. Terrible customer service and getting answers. Will buy from Doublewood

Strange Customer Support Experience

This company has the strangest customer support I’ve ever encountered. Their replies are extremely brief—usually just a single sentence—with no greeting, closing, or the usual courtesy like “let us know if you need anything else.” It felt cold and unhelpful.

More frustratingly, they did not honor a coupon code that I entered and was accepted at checkout. Rather than notifying me of any issue, they simply charged me the full amount without my knowledge or approval. I did not agree to pay that price, and had I known the code wouldn’t be honored, I wouldn’t have placed the order.

The one positive is that shipping was very fast, so at least fulfillment is efficient. But overall, the poor communication and questionable billing practice left a bad impression.

Phishing scam!! Asked for financial records.

Security threat!! They cancelled my order because I didn't send them a picture of a bank/ credit card statement. My order went through (my credit card was processed and I got a typical order confirmation email). But then I got an email a week later (when I was already wondering where the package was) saying it was cancelled. In following up with customer service, they said I didn't respond to a "wallet ID request." Not shockingly, their email saying I needed to send a picture of a financial statement went to spam, but I obviously wouldn't have sent it regardless.

Scam Do Not Order From Them

I ordered an item from them that they said was in stock. The item wasn't in stock and I tried to cancel the order and they said it was packaged and they couldn't cancel it. But they didn't send the item until 30 days later. They are a scam and sell items not in stock and say they are and then won't let you cancel.

NHC is a total scam. I have ordered an item which they were out of stock and tried to cancel it they did not cancel my order. I will never buy from NHC and would not recommend anyone to buy.

Breach of contract, this company butchered my order

Have been a repeated customer since 2020. Always order the same product of the same quantity once a year or less.

This time, without any prior warning, I was accused of reselling the product and my order was - I would say butchered - by this sorry excuse for a company. I live in Europe and there's a considerable cost in delivering this American product to Europe, which is exactly why I order it once a year. It is the only product from existing brands that is well tolerated, so the one-off expense is worth it in order to function like a normal person.

However, there's no warning on the product page or the website about quantities restriction, it only arrived in the form of an email after the fact - as they say - after payment was taken and the quantity they decided to give me was dispatched.

This is not only a breach of contract - which your sorry excuse of a company can be sued for - and don't you think I'm not considering it since there's a health issue at play here, but also breach of consumer protection laws and even worse - it can be viewed as fraud - you don't tell customers of this invented "rule" of yours so they don't go with their orders elsewhere, you only tell them what have you done after you have taken their payment and sent the product out, thinking that they can't do anything. Let me show you that we can, I'm considering filing a commercial lien against your company to recover the extra cost I will now incur in shipping the remaining quantity I need - the one you committed to delivering when I placed the order. You'll then find that you'll no longer be able to trade until this has gone to court, that should teach you that consumers are not pawns to be played with

I asked the customer service to give…

I asked the customer service to give advice on dosage of a mushroom extract I had ordered for my dog and they said they couldn't comment on it. In that case they should not be selling it. They are also aloof and do not adress you by name. There is no greeting. This has given me a bad feeling about this company and what they are selling. Be open, helpful and friendly. After all, your website does say you are there for the customer that, so that is what I expected.

I have ordered from them for years and have always had positive experiences. They have a fantastic selection and I feel I can trust the products, plus the free shipping, perks, and excellent customer service. I recommend it to all my friends.
