Refuses to produce test results they claim to have done
I purchased their Cayenne Pepper capsules. I didn't notice any effect, and the contents of the capsules lacked any noticeable "heat", inconsistent with the label claim of 40,000 heat units. I contacted the manufacturer to request a copy of 3rd party test results, to which they replied:
"I would like to inform you that we do not third-party test; we test in our own laboratories. As tests may contain proprietary information, I'm sorry, we do not furnish any upon request."
Given the prevalence of supplement sellers whose products test deficient in the stated claimed ingredients and/or to contain pathogens or contaminants, I avoid any supplement for which I cannot obtain 3rd party testing. If it contained what they claim and were free of contaminants, they would be proud to disclose the results of their testing, albeit in-house. There are brands which do use 3rd party testing and produce the results. Stick with those.
