I did the Annapurna Circuit and Tilicho Lake trek for 16 days in June 2016 with Unique Adventure. The trip was organized very well from start to finish by the company in a very professional manner.

Having said this, what really made this experience so amazing was my guide Elmi Bishwakarma who in fact did most of the work, found quick and spontaneous solutions and had to make the most important decisions. I cannot thank Elmi enough for putting in all his effort, experience and natural skill - he went way above what I had expected and from what I saw from other guides. Elmi was professional at all times. He truly cares about his guests and others, and shares everything with the people around him. On the trek, he always checked facilities extremely carefully, found out preferences and catered for those where possible, and very importantly, he does not only talk the big talk. He was motivated and would always come for and lead extra acclimatization walks – every day even close to dark. When other guides were gone, he was still there to chat, instead of having a drink. He is admirably honest and simply has an outstanding personality.

I have now spent a few months in Nepal and strongly believe it would be very difficult to find a better guide than Elmi. Thank you again, to Elmi and the team!

We originally planned to go to EBC, however, due to poor weather conditions, the airport was shut down (completely out of the company's control). Unique Adventures rescheduled us to do another trek, and was very professional and accommodating. We received a very thorough and detailed break down of the costs, and got a full refund for the flight that was cancelled. Unique Adventures provided us with great service, was very reliable, and our guide (Venn) was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this company to others!

My husband and I, who prefer to travel independently, wanted to do a short trek in Nepal while we were there on a 2 week vacation. We didn’t really want to do a group tour but felt it important to have a guide on the trek. I knew we could book after we got to Nepal and probably get a better deal but with so little vacation time I didn’t want to waste any of our valuable time in Nepal negotiating something that I could do online.
We try to be responsible travelers so we wanted to use a company that was based in Nepal that all the money spent on the trek would go to Nepalese people. We also wanted a company that took care of its guides. We got several quotes and Unique Adventures International with Khum Subedi had the best offer that covered all of our requirements. After a lot of research we decided on the Poon Hill/Ghorepani trek a circuit leaving out of Nayapul. I was so pleased with the communication and the attention to detail that we decided to do the one splurge on our trip and book a private car for the longer legs of the non-treking portions of our 2 week vacation, a private car from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Pokhara to Chitwan and Chitwan to Kathmandu. I was so pleased with all of my decisions. They were so attentive to detail.
Khum arrived at our hotel in Kathmandu on the day that the car was taking us from Kathmandu to Pokhara. He introduced us to Chris our trek guide and Ram our driver. The fully air-conditioned 4 door SUV was roomy and had plenty of space for the two of us, our guide and all of our luggage. As someone on a budget I was hoping the private car was worth the extra money. Let me say unequivocally this was the best decision. First, my husband often gets motion sick on a bus and the roads in Nepal would have definitely contributed to this. Secondly, traffic is like nothing you have ever seen before. The private car made it a lot easier to pass oversized trucks and busses on the road. The 4 wheel drive got us safely through pot holes the size of swimming pools and rock piles from road construction work. I would say having this ability on the mountainous roads cut our time in half. When you only have a short amount of time those hours spent in a bus are worth every penny on a private car. Not to mention the comfort of being able to stretch out, have access to anything in your bags, the ability to stop to take a photo and being able to stop at a local roadside place to eat instead of one of the mass producing tourist bus restaurants for food. We had thought about doing flights which were even more expensive than the private car. The flights would have only been 30 minutes but when you think about having to be at the airport hours before to check in, worrying about restrictions on your luggage, possibilities of flight changes, having to pick up your luggage and getting transport to and from the airport most likely you would waste more time at the airport.
The trek portion was amazing! We did the Poon Hill Ghorepani circuit for 5 days with Chris as our guide. He was fantastic. He knew how to push us to make sure we made good time but was also aware when we just couldn’t go any further without a rest. This was so important for two people that live at sea level and don’t have any hills or mountains to prepare for the altitude and the uphill climbs. He was very patient with us being very inexperienced and older trekkers. (I turned 46 while in Chitwan on this trip) He shared with us information about Nepal that gave us an inside look into the culture that we would not have gotten any other way. He was a great conversationalist and a pleasure to talk with. You could do the Poon Hill trek without a guide. Most of the trek is labeled well but I am glad we had Chris. Having him as a guide gave us so many advantages. He had an eye on the weather and even though May leads into Monsoon season we didn’t get caught in the rain once. Being familiar with the weather patterns he could gauge how much time we had, when we needed to start in the morning and when we needed to arrive. He also knew when to time a tea break because he knew when an especially hard part of the trek was coming up and made sure we had a little refresh before starting. He also knew the teahouses and we had a room waiting for us when we arrived from a long day tired and hungry. We didn’t have to waste time or energy negotiating a teahouse. It also seemed like he always pushed us to the further teahouses so we were just a little closer to the beginning of the next day’s trail. This was especially nice for the trek up Poon Hill in the early morning to catch the sunrise.
I would feel comfortable recommending Unique Adventures to friends and family and would love to use them again. I also recommend Nepal as a destination for any adventurers out there. They have everything from Trekking the Himalayas, white water rafting, parasailing, bungee jumping, bird watching, and safaris and I am sure that Unique Adventures International and Khum Subedi would be happy to help you plan any of it.

My friend and I went for the EBC trek for 13 days - Right from the start after booking the trip unique team was with us through Emails on what we will require for the trek, Briefing us on itenary & accomadation etc.

As communicated earlier unique was supposed to pick us from the airport and drop us at the hotel but our Flight had got delayed by more than an hour and I dint expect them to be there but the guy was right at the front with our name, right from there their coordination was excellent all through out the trek, our guide (ELMI) was a great friendly, helpful guy who dint rush us at any point of the trek and we went at our own pace but still v reached Base camp as per schedule & he is very familiar with the route. Also he made sure that we got the best possible accomadation throughout the trek in the tea houses.

Apart from the trek for local sight seeing, shopping & queries, they were always available for us on phone (Mr. Khum & Krishna)

An overall great experience with unique team

Just returned from a wonderful adventure with Unique Adventure International. Excellent communications from the beginning convinced me to choose this company for my visit to Island Peak via EBC and Kala Patthar. Khum and Krishna are very easy to deal with, responding promptly to queries and requests. Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu was provided at Hotel Yambu, a friendly hotel in Thamel. The Sherpa guide (Lapka) and porter both provided an exceptional service on the trek, I am lucky to have met them both. It was lovely to spend a final evening in Kathmandu with the team and I wish them all the best for the future.

We chose Unique Adventure to arrange our first trip to Nepal because they were very quick in replying to our many questions . This service continued when we arrived - everything happened exactly as they said it would, all there staff were excellent and very attentive especially our guide Krish and porter Dawa. I would not hesitate to recommend them .

I have been climbing on Mera Peak in October 2015. Unique Adventure and Mr. Khum provides me very good service in Kathmandu and during my adventure in the mountains.
Highly recommend to anyone who wants to go to Nepal.

We decided to go to Himalayan mountains for the first time and our friends, who already made a few treks with Khum, suggested him to be our "travel agency". Khum was very fast to organize things, so we started to Annapurna region on April,20 with a very nice and friendly guide Kumar. Everything was perfect untill the day of the earthquake. But even after we were lucky to continue our trek. Our guide and porter both had there homes damaged, but they stayed with us untill the end of our journey, and went to help restore their homes only after seeing us safely to the airport in Kathmandu. We hope that this autumn trekking in Nepal will resume, and if you plan a trip there we can highly recommend Khum to organize things and Kumar as a guide

My trek started off great with my guide Venn, and with Khum back in Kathmandu. I had a huge mistake by leaving some cash back in Kathmandu that was needed, and Khum found a solution for me while I was in Namche. Can't say enough about what great, honest people Venn and Khum are.

The trek was fantastic, until we hit Tengbouche the day of the quake. Without too much detail, Venn bravely stayed by me for the next 5 days as we faced the uncertainty and danger together. His family homes had been badly damaged in the Kathmandu valley ( his family was ok ), and he still smiled everyday and was genuinely concerned how I was doing. I can not imagine this experience without his support.

Once back in Lukla, Venn tirelessly worked to get our flights sorted out ( this was not an easy task ), and we managed to get out on April 30th. It was hard to say good bye to him knowing the challenges ahead.

Once the trekking industry gets back on its feet, I highly recommend Venn as a guide, and Khum to organize things. The people of Nepal deserve so much better than what they face after this disaster.

It was an awesome experience, one of the best trips I've ever made.. beautiful scene and warm (and comfortable) hospitality in every stop.
I'm hoping Nepal can recover from this tragedy and people can go there and enjoy this beautiful country again very soon.
My thoughts and prayers are with Nepali people.

I went on a 15 day trek with Unique Adventure to EBC and the Gokyo Valley at the end of March 2015. The trek was very well organised, my guide Venn very helpful and I really enjoyed the beautiful views on the trek. I would definitely recommend Unique Adventure to anyone considering trekking in Nepal.

If you are looking for a magical trip lost in the mountains and close to the sky Mustang is the one.
The landscape is pure and you will find few tourists.
After a long research I piked up Unique Adventure. They looked like they know what they were doing and the price was very competitive. Mr Khum Subedi the man in charge was quick to answer my mails and available to my requests. I payed half from Europe with a bank transfer and gave the rest when in Katmandu almost 6 months later. I went with an experienced guide named Ram and a porter included. The accommodations were fine. All guest houses well experienced and some really real Mustang home life. The places are amazing.
If you want to go I strongly recommend you this company.

I get the trek to Mera Peak with Unique Adventure. They r so professional in this field n u just leave it to them everything. Staff , poter n guide r so friendly, kindful and very helpful. Even before I reached the last day of my first trek to the ABC with a group of 8, my decision to return for more trekking adventures was not only palpable but also imperative. It wasn’t just the lure of the magnificent Himalayan Mountains or the friendly villagers who greet you with smiling faces but also the entire trekking experience, packaged by Unique Adventure International, that made a comeback so irresistible. So, within just a few months, I found myself trotting alongside with jolting donkeys and a very experienced guide into the well-trodden Langtang/Gosaikunda regions. That was my second trip with Unique Adventure International. Just like what was packaged in my first trip - from meals to lodging down to the trip’s nitty-gritties - everything was so well taken care that all I had to do was to focus on my 12-day hike which turned out to be much more demanding than I had anticipated. But thanks to the encouragement and professional guidance from the guide I was able to complete the trek safe and sound. Although I finally to arrive at Sundarijal on the last day of the trek, I was on the brink of collapse due to extreme exhaustion but nothing stopped me from hatching a third trekking trip to the EBC with Unique Adventure International.

I visited Nepal back in 2001 and wanted to go on on a hiking trek to the Lantang Mountain range. I was a female traveling alone and quite nervous as I had waited to get to Nepal before organizing anything. I discovered Unique Adventure International quite by accident, but they were wonderful and helped me sort out the whole 21 day trip quickly , professionally and at a great price. The owner was so kind and really made me feel at ease with all the arrangements. Back then I hadn't been lucky enough to read any reviews so went on blind faith, but it was a fantastic trip and I wasn't disappointed! That trip has stayed in my memory all these years and I still talk about it to this day. I would so love to come back and do the Everest base camp in the near future and I will not hesitate to book through these guys! Till then happy trekking!

I was lucky to be part of a group of six keen hill walkers from Ireland who traveled to Nepal for a 22 day trip that included Kathmandu and a trek to Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar & up Island Peak. We used Unique Adventures for all land arrangements and found the owner, Khum Subedi, to be very professional. Correspondence was excellent while we were putting the trip together and the personal attention from Khum during our visit was much appreciated. We had three excellent guides and seven porters for the duration of the trek and our needs were well looked after. I have no hesitation in recommending Unique Adventure for a trip to Nepal.
