Family left without bedding and towels. Netlet refused to provide.

Since Netlet took over the changeovers at my holiday let, I have had complaints of the house not being clean, and no toilet rolls left. I've been charged for waste and recycling supposedly removed after each booking but on several occasions the containers have been overflowing. I was informed that the poor service wasn't the fault of Netlet, but the poor quality staff they employed!!
Finally I have been let down in the worst possible way. I gave 2 weeks notice on 17th July, and received confirmation at my request that the final changeover would take place on 26th July.- the notice period ends on 31st July. The family who booked the property arrived on Saturday evening to no bedding or towels. Becky, on the emergency line at Netlet was helpful and assured me that someone would go back to the property immediately and make up the beds. However I was later informed that Penny Hows, the Director was refusing to allow this. She said as it was the final booking no bedding would be provided. At no point was I informed of this, and I had been assured that a changeover (which always includes bedding) would take place. I always paid the invoices promptly and was up to date. Despite knowing the predicament of this family, with young children arriving for their annual holiday, and a member of their staff being in the area with bedding specifically for my property, Penny refused to help. This was the most unbelievable and apparently vindictive response from a supposedly " professional " company.
Netlet have replied that I " kept moving the goalposts". The "goalposts" remained the same ie that the house would be cleaned and rubbish and recycling removed after each booking and not left with cobwebs, no toilet rolls and bins overflowing! We used our own bedding for our own stay, as we have always done, but Netlet were providing the bedding for the bookings.
Their reply doesn't add up, as apparently they would have laundered and returned my own bedding at the next changeover (and after the contract had ended)if it had been left out but couldn't do that with their own bedding because the contract would have ended! I'm also puzzled as to why they didn't call me on the Saturday morning, when they got to the house and found no bedding, if they were expecting me to have left my own bedding there for them to put on? Or why, if this had genuinely been a misunderstanding regarding the final changeover, knowing I was 200 miles away and a family with young children had arrived to no bedding, they flatly refused to do the decent thing and help them? Anyone reading this can judge for themselves the truth of the matter.
A week later and I have received the final invoice from Netlet, which once again charged £25 plus vat for waste removal on the last day. We had left there ourselves that morning and emptied all the bins ourselves and took photos. There was nothing for them to take, which proves what I had been saying to them for months.

The Facts about the above review:-
1) Contract Commenced March 2024, we have been undertaking the provision of services at the property, but due to constant changing of the goal posts it had become an untenable situation, the relationship between us, had broken down, we gave the owner the option to look for an alternative service provider and that we would require 2 weeks notice.
2) Notice given on 17/07/25 - end of contract 31/07/25
3) Last Changeover to be undertaken on 26/07/25, final changeover all of our rental linen to be taken away to be laundered, however as owner had been staying at the property she had used her own linen, which usually we would take and launder and return on the following changeover, but nothing left
4) There was no linen left for us to remove indicating that the contract was finished, had linen been left out beds would have been made up,
5) Next changeover scheduled for 02/08/25 after the contract had finished, therefore we would have been unable to collect any rental linen from the property on 31/07/25.
6) When a contract ends we remove all items, welcome books, linen etc... that belong to the company.
7) Incorrect - there was no member of staff in the area and no bed linen had been taken out as the owner should have provided linen for the house keeper to make up the beds and being threatened with legal action by the owner did not help the situation.
8) Refuse has always been removed after changeovers, despite the owner stating we were in breach our waste disposal agreement, the licence to remove refuse is current and upto date with Pembrokeshire County Council.

As a company we endeavour to meet all of our customer's needs however in this case the customer was continually changing the requirements.

Holiday home let in Pembrokeshire

Let a holiday home in Pembrokeshire through this company. The cottage hadn’t been cleaned properly (rubbish left in some bins, lots of spiders) and the garden was so overgrown we were unable to access it. Property was also advertised as having WiFi, but this was so intermittent it was unusable. Contacted the letting agent but they were unable to resolve any issues during our stay. It’s a shame as the property would have been lovely otherwise.

We made a last minute decision to try…

We made a last minute decision to try and book a stay in Newport (30th December) and Lesley was at hand to help at 11.30pm! We completed the booking around 11.45pm and headed West first thing in the morning. The accommodation was immaculate and as impressive as the property was, we were equally impressed with the service from Lesley. We will definitely use Netlet UK again for our next trip.

Deep Clean

I have recently enquired about a few…

I have recently enquired about a few different properties within pembrokeshire and so far my experience with Netlet has been amazing, I have enquired about pets and also accessibility to properties due to health issues and the staff member I spoke to has been highly informative and helpful, I cannot wait to book my stay with them within the next coming months ready for the summer of 2022, all that is left for me to do is relay the information to my family so we can choose which property we would like to stay in.

Very well presented and professional staff…

Very well presented and professional staff who treat our mum with the utmost respect. Mums dignity and well being is a very important part of their daily interaction with her. Preparing and serving a hot lunch and leaving a snack for teatime along with cleaning and tidying of the bungalow is of a first class high standard. They have built up a lovely professional relationship with her and we can’t recommend them highly enough. It gives us total peace of mind that mum is looked after as we would want while we’re not there. We also have great regular feedback from them when we’re away, can’t fault them. Thank you Netlet.

Disappointed

We were disappointed with the cleanliness of a property we recently stayed at in Pembrokeshire. On entering there was a strong smell of drains coming from bathroom and kitchen. We had to buy drain cleaner to sort this out. The fridge shelves were sticky and had crumbs. The wall cupboard for food storage had a used crumpled up paper bag and more crumbs. The oven had a tray coated in fat that looked like it had not been cleaned. We would not normally expect to have to clean a property before we felt happy to use it.

Y beudy hell!

We booked a stay at Y beudy through Netlet a coupe of weeks ago. We had nothing but problems from the moment we arrived! Extra charges! Doors falling off runners, draws falling out, itchy smelly duck bedding and rude owners!

Firstly we discovered when we arrived the bed linen was all duck and two of the four guest including myself are highly allergic. We spoke to Terri the next morning after sleeping without bedding to request other bedding. The response for Terri and babette was extremely rude " my daughter is allergic to duck bedding but she just gets on with it" was her response!
They did however change our bedding after that but mentioned nothing about extra charges being taken from our deposit at the time of doing so.

We also booked to take three dogs to the property with us. We again checked with netlet if there would be a charge for this I was told in writing that there would not be. I was then charged an additional fee from my deposit after leaving.

I want to point out we hoovered before we left (albeit with a terrible hoover with little suction but that's what was provided) we even had an email to say how tidy we left the place but still the charges were taken.

I don't have a problem with being charged extra for things but I do think having the decency to tell people at the time of booking not after would be more appropriate.

Netlets "help" on the matter has been to not respond to emails for days on end and to keep repeating the same thing rather than listening to me.

I wouldn't recommend you book through Netlet or stay at Y beudy unless you want a rude alteration if something isn't quite right
