​I am posting this formal review to warn fellow travelers and ensure the safety of the tourist community. My experience with this agency involved unethical business practices and significant financial exploitation:
​Deceptive Location: Contrary to their advertisement, this agency is not located at the airport. This misrepresentation creates a high-pressure situation for travelers who arrive expecting immediate transportation, only to find themselves stranded at an off-site location.
​Coercive Pricing Tactics: Upon arrival, staff claimed my credit card could not be processed. This appeared to be a deliberate tactic to force an immediate $200 surcharge. Because I was in a vulnerable position and required a vehicle, I was left with no choice but to comply with this unauthorized fee.
​Exorbitant Damage Claims: Following the rental, I was charged 400 Euros (approximately $435 USD) for a minor surface scratch on the door. To provide context, the standard market rate for such a cosmetic repair in Morocco is approximately $60.
​Conclusion: This agency appears to utilize "bait-and-switch" tactics and predatory billing to extract inflated fees from tourists. Their business model relies on exploiting travelers who have limited options in a foreign country.
​Recommendation: For your financial safety and peace of mind, I strongly advise booking with a transparent, internationally recognized rental provider instead. Do not risk your travel budget with this establishment

Achtung, Betrüger! Kaution von 350€ wurde direkt eingezogen und nach Rückgabe des Autos einfach einbehalten. Angebliche Begründung war, ich hätte einen Hund im Auto gehabt, denn man hätte ja Hundehaare im Auto gefunden. Ich besitze keinen Hund, noch besitzt irgendwer in meiner Familie oder im Freundeskreis einen Hund. Als Beweis wurde ein Foto im Sonnenlicht von einigen Staubkörnern gesendet. Absolute Frechheit. Es wurde sich auf eine Vertragsstrafe berufen, auf Widerspruch wurde nicht eingegangen.

Kompletter Scam also. Wenn man sich die Bewertungen so anschaut hat das Ganze auch System. Ganz üble Masche.

Des escrocs nokta et b&j cars, expérience à Tanger : on a eu un véhicule essence alors que nous avions réservé un véhicule diesel, le montant de la caution ne passe pas alors on a payé des frais supplémentaires et le pire c'est au retour une rayure "surprise " qui apparaît et ils ont pris 3500mad pour réparation, nous attendons un remboursement de l'assurance prise chez vipcar. Des jeunes incompétents qui n'inspire pas confiance et des responsables qui organisent des arnaques. NE LOUER PAS SURTOUT PAS, LEUR PRIX CONCURENTIEL EST COMPENSER PAR DES ARNAQUES.

Warning about Nokta Autos in Istanbul, Turkey.

I rented a car in Istanbul, Turkey. When returning the vehicle, the staff confirmed everything was fine.
However, 6 hours later my credit card was charged.

When I contacted them, they could not verify whether the damage was from my rental vehicle, and after March 1st they became unreachable.

No evidence or photos were provided.
Please be cautious when renting from this company in Istanbul.

Pour ce qui me concerne la location était prévu à rabat la dame avait une combine dont il faut se méfie c’est qu’elle tape une somme qui dépasse la norme ex:17000€ au lieu de 1700 pour la garantie de la caution donc automatiquement la banque refuse le paiement et la nana te propose soit d’annuler la location ou prendre une assurance à eux qui te coûte 15€/jour tu vois la combine comme on ne peux pas faire marche arrière donc tu payes au minimum 6€/jour donc à bon entendeur salut

Finger weg von diesem Autovermieter. Die Kaution wurde von der Kreditkarte abgebucht (nicht geblockt) und nicht zurück gezahlt! Der gemietet PKW war bei Übergabe dreckig, Der Mietvertrag war in türkischer Sprache, den kein Mensch versteht! Absoluter Albtraum!

Avoid! Booked a car in Marrakesh but was asked to pay an extra 100 euros at the desk for out of hours pick up and drop off. This charge was not disclosed in advance. I declined and did not rent the car. Very disappointing lack of transparency.

Avoid, avoid, AVOID!

Rented a car. They took the deposit out from my credit card, instead of blocking it.

I gave the car back in perfect condition.

3 months later. I still have not got my money back.

These guys are criminals!!

SCAM ALERT: Do Not Rent Here! Unethical Business and Theft of Money.
This company is an absolute disgrace. Do not expect to ever see your money or deposit again; they systematically keep it without justification. It is impossible to reach them, calls are deliberately ignored, and there is zero customer support. The staff behavior is incredibly rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. This is not a legitimate car rental service but operates like a scam to steal hard-earned money. Avoid this company at all costs – do not fall for their trap!

I rented a car from Noktauto on 9 November through CarJet.

I paid FULL INSURANCE at the rental office, returned the car with no damage, and paid all additional charges at return (highway service charge and tolls). Despite this, Noktauto took a deposit of €411.28 from my card (not just blocked).

When I contacted Noktauto, they told me the refund would take 45–60 days.
This period has already passed, and no refund has been made.

CarJet later confirmed in writing that the deposit would be refunded by 19 January.
Today is 20 January, and I have still received nothing.

What makes this worse:

The deposit was taken, not blocked

There were no damages, no fines, no issues

Noktauto stopped responding completely

Keeping a customer’s money for over two months with no explanation is not normal and not professional.

I strongly do not recommend Noktauto, and I am extremely disappointed that this happened through a booking platform like CarJet.

Birde araci kiraladigimiz websitesinde araca full kasko yapmistik, ayakta bize onun gecersiz oldugunu soyledi gunlugu €15dan bize tekrar sigorta yapmamizin mantikli olacağını soyledi, bunu daha sonra yapamazsiniz bir kaza aninda sizden 800.000₺ aracin fiyatini hemen alirim dedi. Avukatimiza bunu hemen sorduk, gecersiz oldugunu soyledi yani sakin inanmayin.
Aracı boş depo verdi bize, full olarak geri isteniliyor, nasil verdiysen oyle alirsin.
Hgsler gecislerini biz hep not almistik tutari ile birlikte sizde yapin bunu, hgs'ye odeme servis ücretini 3.000₺ oldugunu soyledi araci teslim ettigimizde.
Aracin temizlik yikatma parasi 2.000₺ dedi, buronun kendisini aradim 1.000₺ denildi.
Kapora 40-60gün icerisinde geri yatirilacak dedi suanda nerdeyse 4 ay gecti.
Adamin kendisine ulasmak mumkun degildi, uyari yazdik avukata verecegimize dair hala yanit yok, tekrar buroyu aradik 9 ocak denildi bakalim 9 ocak para yatmazsa avukata verecegim..
Kac arac kiraladim cogu ülkelerde boyle durumla asla karsilasmadim.

SCAM. FRAUD --Can't believe I saw these reviews too late about the deposit scam-- they took $600 deposit and Never paid it back-- seeking compensation from Discover cars that should have not let these scammers on their site that we rented through and maybe our credit card agency...

Still waiting for my deposit more than 3 months of returning the car. I was promised 45 days maximum. I am still hopeful

I want to share my experience with Nokta Car Rental to help future customers make an informed decision.

Firstly, despite advertising as an airport car rental company, they are not actually located at the airport. Instead, they drop off and pick up the car at a meeting point, which caused serious inconvenience. When I arrived at the arranged location for vehicle return, the staff member was not there, and I was left waiting — almost missing my flight as a result.

At the time of pickup, the staff member who helped with the contract strongly persuaded me to purchase full insurance, even though it was extremely expensive. I eventually agreed, hoping for a smooth and worry-free experience.

Unfortunately, that was not the case.
The car itself had a serious safety issue — it would roll backwards on hills when switching from brake to gas. In a city like Istanbul, which has many steep roads and hills, this was incredibly dangerous and unacceptable. It made driving especially stressful, especially since my mother was unwell and I needed a reliable vehicle to get around.

Despite driving minimally and having full insurance, the company still made complaints during the return process. They sent me several photos of supposed damages that were no different from the video I had taken at the start of the rental. In the end, they pointed out a flat tire, which felt like an excuse to find fault.

They also took a €350 deposit, which I’m still waiting to see how they will handle. I will update my experience once I have more clarity on that.

In summary, I would not recommend this company, especially to those who value professionalism, peace of mind, and respectful communication. Their lack of punctuality, aggressive upselling, poor vehicle maintenance, and questionable return process were all deeply disappointing.

I hope this feedback helps improve their service and prevents other customers from facing the same difficulties.

⚠️ Be Careful — They Don’t Refund Deposits and Give Many Excuses

I rented a car from Nokta Rent a Car in Turkey and had a very bad experience.
They asked for a large deposit when I picked up the car — much higher than what was shown online.
When I returned the car in perfect condition, they promised to refund the deposit within a few days, but weeks have passed and no refund was made.
I contacted them many times through phone and email, but they either ignored my messages or kept saying “the refund is processing.”
It seems that many other people are having the same problem — they hold people’s money and don’t return it.
Be very careful before renting from them.
Take pictures of the car, read the contract, and never pay in cash.
There are many better and more honest companies in Turkey that don’t do this to their customers.
I hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake.

Des voleurs voilà le terme pour cette agence. Aujourd'hui ça fait 32 jours que la voiture a été rendue et je n'ai toujours pas récupéré ma caution. C'est une bande d'escrocs sans vergogne. Le pire ils ne répondent jamais au téléphone, j'ai fait intervenir un avocat à qui ils ont dit 30 jours et elle aura son argent. Je dois faire intervenir un huissier de justice pour récupérer mon argent la pire expérience de ma vie pour location de voiture. C'est abject et inhumain

Absolutely unprofessional experience with this rental company. I had a confirmed reservation, and on the very same day of pick-up, they canceled it without offering any proper solution. This left me stranded and forced to book another car last minute at a much higher price.

This is not acceptable. I made a valid booking, and it was their responsibility to provide me with a vehicle at the agreed price. Any serious rental company would have arranged an alternative car, even through a partner, instead of leaving the customer with no options.

If I could, I would give them zero stars. They don’t deserve even one. Strongly advise others to stay away from this company.
