I use this company daily. For years. In the city and from and to the airport.

The drivers are mostly chatty and pleasant or just keep to themselves. I have NEVER been harassed or overcharged or told directly that it would cost a fixed rate. They have been without exception polite and helpful.

I want to point out, that there are taxis who LOOK like the OK taxis, but their phone number on the hood of the car is missing the number 3 as in 9732121.

So please, before getting into the car, check the rates on the windshield and the rear windows of the car. There are a lot of these taxis circulating, their colour is often metallic yellow instead of yellow.

Don't use this company ever. The hotel called for a cab to the airport. What was meant to be a short and pleasant trip turned to be a disaster. With going into the taxi it made me clear that the driver is reying to cheat on the money. I'm Bulgarian and my husband is Romanian, we were talking in English and he decided he will do whatever he wants. The trip started from 4.59 leva instead of their normal starting price of 2.49 lv. I've closed my eyes. The trip was 12 lv in total and my husband gave him 20 lv. Saying " thank you". This is normal polite form in any country, yet the driver decided he will keep the change and when I've requested the change of 5 lv. In bulgarian he started to call me names. I promise you, I will make you "famouse" through the social medias as the company supporting thieves. AVOID AT ANY COST.

Ripped off by this company to the airport, stay away from them, plus the taxi driver was also a pervert. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Only use yellow taxi.

I took OK TAXI from the taxi rank at Sofia airport. I asked him to put on the meter. All seems fine, right? 15min cab ride later to my hotel (about 8km) he gives me a bill for 85 BGN. Should have been 20 at most... he claimed there were airport taxes, etc. A shouting match ensues, and he became aggressive and threatened to leave WITH MY LUGGAGE in the trunk if I did not pay. I settled for paying 50 just to avoid a fist fight and move on with life. If I had been a woman travelling alone, I would have been quite frightened of his belligerence and aggressiveness.

To be totally precise, his tag number was CB7338 TX. I have reported him to the authorities.

🚨 Avoid OK Taxi in Sofia – Scam Alert! 🚨

If you are arriving at Sofia Airport Terminal 1, DO NOT trust OK Taxi. My recent experience with them was nothing short of blatant fraud.

On 8th February 2025, I approached an OK Taxi stand inside the terminal, expecting a legitimate service. Instead of directing us to the official taxi rank, the driver led us to his OK Taxi-branded car in a nearby car park—a red flag I regret not questioning at the time. He had an OK Taxi pass displayed, giving the impression of legitimacy.

The journey should have cost around 20 BGN, yet the driver demanded an outrageous fare over seven times higher. I did not have enough cash to cover the full amount and was instructed to pay the remaining balance by card—only to later discover that he fraudulently charged more than agreed.

This is not an overcharge, it is a scam. The fact that a driver displaying an official OK Taxi pass and driving a branded vehicle can deliberately defraud customers at an international airport is shocking. It raises serious concerns about this company's integrity and whether they are actively ignoring these scams or even profiting from them.

I have submitted a formal complaint to OK Taxi and am waiting for their response. I will update this review once I hear back.

In the meantime, I strongly urge travellers to avoid OK Taxi altogether. There are plenty of safer and more reliable alternatives in Sofia.

We thought we paid 84Lev (which was already far too high) but in fact we paid 84 EURO!!!!

We got in to a ok taxi at sofia bus station.He refused to put the meter on and said it was a set price to our hotel of 30lev for a journey of 1.5km.We were told by local the price should have been between 7-10lev
A pure ripoff and we got out of the taxi and walked

Scam!!! Charge double! Never use!

This company is a national embarrassment. Visitors are ripped off consistently. I'll bet local residents are abused as well. I was charged 63 Lev for what should have been a 20 Lev ride.

Never drive with O.K Taxis

The taxi driver will bring me from boulevard vitosha to macedonia squar / Alabin str for 20 Leva, the regulare price is 7-8 leva he tell me no taxometer give me 20Leva the taxi driver nummber is : 241294 monday 29,04.2024 12:25 oclock. I call in the central and no body care the support is the same dirty like the driver . Stop from this company yellow never has problems like this Taxis

AirBNB in Sofia warned us and suggested a reasonable price from central station to city senter(AirBNB) first, they got the address, and said only "taximeter taximeter". I asked what was it expected to display end at... Got a suggested price of 7 times the suggested cost. Laught at it, got a suggestion about twice the estimated cost,I told the scam master/dispatcher at the station the price the AirBNB suggested. The scam master took time to inform all taxi drivers not to take us, even crossed the street before us to make the others not drive us. We ended walking instead. Sofia OK taxis is a tourist scam/trap.
