We had a fantastic stay at the Old Barn! The property is beautiful and fantastically fitted out. Stephen was an excellent host, made sure everything was ok and helped us out with everything we asked of him. The location is excellent providing easy access to most of Cornwall, and the electric car charger was invaluable! Strongly recommended and we hope to return soon! :)

One of the nicest barn conversions we have stayed at. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for Stephen to ensure we had a lovely time. The welcome was tailor made for us, he had taken the trouble to provide gluten free goodies for a couple of our party. Came away just wishing we’d booked for longer.
We certainly felt we had value for money and will definitely return in the near future.

The welcome from the hosts Stephen and Allen is as warm as the warmth from the Aga and underfloor heating in the converted Old Barn. As soon as you step through the door the quality of the furniture and furnishings is obvious. The handmade kitchen is beautiful and I loved the dishwasher (it had drawers, I want one now!) It contained everything you could ever need and all the chinaware and cooking equipment was of the highest quality. The hamper contained ‘luxury’ goodies from local shops. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms very luxurious. The Old Barn really is a beautiful place to stay, very quiet and tranquil but if you fancy a bit of noise you can play the grand piano in the living room! Well recommended! We hope to stay again next time we’re down in Cornwall!

We are Jacki and Roger from Sydney Australia and we recently stayed at The Old Barn intending to stay for 3 nights however we were so thrilled with both the premises and the service we received from both Stephen and Alan we finished staying an extra 2 nights and would have stayed longer if we had not had other commitments for our journey home.
We can honestly say that The Old Barn was the most comfortable and well equipped accommodation we encountered on our 3 week road trip through the UK. The friendly service we experienced was outstanding and the location both beautiful and convenient to all the surrounding district. We would love to come back again one day.

I cannot recommend The Old Barn enough. From the time of booking, Stephen was so accommodating. We booked it for my sisters 50th and Stephen designed an invitation to her surprise for us and on arrival there was a balloon and a delicious welcome basket with everything you need in it. The barn is amazing, the views divine and the beds so comfortable, I could have stayed in mine all day! The bathroom's were also very luxurious. Stephen has thought of everything to make his guests as comfortable and as happy as possible. He was really knowledgeable about walks and beaches and where to dine out too. I cannot fault our weekend away and Stephen and the barn just made it so wonderful. We will be booking again! Thank you Stephen. x

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Barn with our two dogs, I would highly recommend anyone who loves attention to detail, cleanliness was ten out of ten, extremely well equipped kitchen and utility. The welcome hamper and goodies were excellent and I couldn’t fault the very comfortable bed, a must for a relaxing holiday.

The Old Barn well what was not to like about this property.
We arrived to a cheerful welcome from Stephen & Alan and a full walk round tour of the house and garden.
There was enough provisions to make a couple of full breakfasts, a lovely cake, coffee and a hamper of goodies.
The kitchen was short of nothing for those who enjoy cooking.
The whole of the accommodation was perfect for us and our dog.
Oh and on Saturday morning warm Cornish pasties delivered to the door.
The Old Barn is convenient for lots of Cornish attractions and lovely coastline.
Would definitely return and recommend this property.

Wonderful place to stay! On arrival the barn is spotlessly clean with fresh flowers and a hamper of goodies, a fridge with farm goods for your first breakfast The Hypnos beds have crisp Egyptian cotton sheets and are really really comfortable- if you are looking for somewhere to relax and spend time together in a luxurious home from home this place is perfect. Expect to feel cosy from the aga in the kitchen to the ambient underfloor heating - if you get a rainy day it lovely to stay home! The large enclosed garden is a bonus (especially for the dog to run around). The house is a little off the beaten track, 10 min drive to lots of places that are nearby (Padstow etc) but that actually made our time more relaxing Thanks to the owner Stephen for looking after us!

What can I say about Old Barn Tregonetha. We’ve just come back from this amazing Barn conversation, myself, my husband, my children & dog had the best time. The owners both were welcoming throughout our stay & went above & beyond to make our stay the best. The house was very clean & tidy, all the extras from the hamper & all the extra accessories where fantastic.
We would highly recommend this place to everyone & would differently return in the future.

Old Barn has everything you need and more for a wonderful stay in Cornwall. Stephen and Allen were so helpful and all the little touches they provide made everything that little bit more special. House and garden were really lovely and the location tranquil but convenient for beaches and towns.

Our experience of Old Barn for the second time was as exceptional as the first, though this doesn't come as a surprise with Stephen and Allen as your hosts!
Another round of goodies in the welcome basket, well stocked fridge for a lovely full English to cook on the Aga, and we agreed, it felt like coming home.
Being able to charge our electric car, inclusive in the cost of the stay; makes the long drive from Derbyshire to Cornwall (and then tootling around the beautiful Cornish coast) so much easier with cost and is no hassle at all. I couldn't recommend this enough to EV drivers!

All the facilities in the barn are beautiful. Clean, spotless, well cared for, making for enjoyable rainy days when we just spent time milling around the barn in front of the log burner. We take our 3 children with us, aged 7, 8 and 14, they too love the barn and is a home from home for them too. Our eldest celebrated his birthday at the barn, and Stephen so very kindly popped up with a balloon and cake. It's the kind, thoughtful details like this that makes the Old Barn such a heart warming place to stay.

The location of Old Barn is perfect, especially if Padstow and Newquay are your preferred towns, which for eating as a family they suit us perfectly, along with the beautiful Constantine Bay beach also a short drive away, near the beautiful Trevose head lighthouse (highly recommend catching a sunset there). We had a lovely trip down to St Michaels Mount and to Lands End. And on one evening we ordered a take away from the local Chinese in Roche which was very good.

I'm sure it won't be too long until we make our next trip back, in the meantime we are left with hearts full of happy memories. Thank you Stephen & Allen.

This was our second time back at this beautiful place. We can not recommended it highly enough! The barn has not aged at all, you can see the attention to detail and care being put in to the place. This is not just a fabulous barn in a wonderful location but Steve spoiled us from start to finish with local treats and produce. We will certainly be going back again!!

This is a truly exceptional property, refurbished with impeccable taste and equipped to a very high standard. When you arrive a plethora of local produce awaits, fresh pasties arrived on our second day and the owner even drove to the local Co-op on an errand of mercy for us.
The welcome could not have been warmer, the location is excellent, and the accommodation superlative.

The welcome we received from Stephen at The Old Barn was above and beyond anything we have experienced elsewhere. The Welcome Hamper (full of coffee, tea, chocolate, crisps, jams and marmalade) extended to the fridge which was stocked with enough bacon, sausages, tomatoes and mushrooms to see us through at least one breakfast and clotted cream and four different cheeses!! On the side were fresh scones and lemon drizzle cake - a truly exceptional feast.

Stephen was charming as he showed us round the barn which was itself utterly beautiful. The two bathrooms are wonderful and the large living room with grand piano finished off the whole house perfectly.

Can not recommend this property highly enough especially when I add there are TWO electric car charging points, with no additional charge made for their use!!!

A real gem of a find! This is exactly what it says on the tin and then some!

The accommodation is spotless, welcoming ambience and very well though out with every amenity catered for. We were truly spoilt with flowers, food hamper, cake, eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, butter and then fresh pasties on the morning after our arrival.

This place isn't just dog friendly but dog welcoming, with dog bowls, dog treats, dog toys and the very important poop bags!

The hosts were more than helpful and nothing was too much trouble, even providing some additional maps upon request for where to walk etc.

We cannot recommend this place and the hosts enough. The location was central so 20 to 30 mins drive to north or south Cornwall (9 miles from Padstow) and some lovely beaches. We are lucky to be going back in a few months time with the wider entourage. Can't wait!

In 22 years of 'dog holidays' The Old Barn is without question the best location we have stayed in. Spotlessly clean, exceptionally well equipped, with all the little extras (spices, sauces, dog treats & towels etc), fabulous kitchen with Aga, Nespresso, and immaculate glasses & crockery. Amazing welcome pack, plus hand delivered hot pasties on Day 2!
Stephen and Allen can't do enough to help, but never intrude.
Very comfortable beds, great bathrooms, lovely sitting room with wood burning stove.
Good dog friendly and safe garden, good EV point...nothing left to chance, all extremely well thought out, and presented, these guys really take a pride in their wonderful barn.
Great location, good for Padstow, north and south coasts, good dog walks on the doorstep too.
We hope to return soon.

All the previous reviews really says it all, this is a first class holiday let, you will not be disappointed when you stay here.
We were fortunate to stay for a week in early December 2021 and despite having to contend with Storm Barra it did not stop us exploring the magnificent Cornish coastline.
Having stayed at the Old Barn during the summer for a week a few years back we knew exactly what to expect at the Old Barn.
Everywhere was still very well maintained and was spotlessly clean.
The property is first class and has everything you need.
The Welcome hamper as well as the lovely products from the local butchers is such a lovely touch.
For 2 couples with dogs the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms work really well and the dining area is a great place for enjoying home cooking from the fantastic Aga or enjoying Rick Steins take aways.
Sitting in the lounge in the evenings after a day of long walks in front of the log burner was a delight.
While the owners live at the bottom of the lovely garden they are always on hand should you require anything but are most certainly not intrusive.
You will not be disappointed when you stay at the Old Barn, it’s highly recommended.

This is one of the best self catering places we have been to, you want for nothing. Everything supplied right down to tiny details. Lovely spotless place. Stephen the owner was very helpful and on hand if we needed anything. The lovely hamper, fruit,cake, bread and breakfast items all went down a treat. The place was all decorated up with an 8 foot Christmas tree which was amazing. Loved the aga. Amazing place and would certainly recommend. Thankyou stephen for everything.
