Omniplex Ipswich.

The actually cinema itself is great. Staff are generally polite, managers could probably do with a little bit of reminding that at busy times, helping out by serving is probably more important than standing there looking pretty.
However the cinema is clean, seats recently refurbished are nice and comfortable and the screen quality seems good too.
Overall enjoyable visit.

Cant book single seats away from others

I originally gave this cinema a great review, but since then they have introduced a ridiculous rule that you MUST book a ticket online next to a prebooked seat. Meaning u can't have a empty seat next to you, so in a large cinema, your being forced to sit next to a complete stranger!! Where has freedom of choice gone?? Even with 3 seats together, your not allowed to pick any of them, even if leaving 2 together! Really really poor move and should be reviewed ASAP.

Love cinema. Hate omnipass app

Omnipass is so poor. You can’t book as a couple. You can’t book a single seat near an aisle.

Come on omni. You did great on the cinema returb. But invest a tiny bit on you app. Even you staff toll their eyes at it

Omniplex Pass

Since joining Omniplex, the pass and app are completely useless.
There is constant errors, difficult cancellation procedures and poor customer service.

Discount voucher issues

The cinema itself is nice with new reclining seats. The poor experience has been with booking using vouchers (discounted seats). The booking system has problems coping with using more than one at a time and vouchers get locked out if the booking crashes. On first occasion we had to take codes to cinema as we could not get them to work after they locked out. On second occasion, due to having to wait for the voucher to unlock, I made a human error when it could be used again. When I tried to cancel I was told it did not refund vouchers. We then had to purchase further vouchers and book one at a time. The recent experience has cost me more than I have saved and I will probably use Vue instead as their system does not crash.

Omniplex Sutton- do not go

Omniplex Sutton- movie delayed, blank screen with repeated music, complained after 20 mins, then they tried to fast forward the trailers on screen while the previous music kept playing with blank screens from time to time, absolute chaos. Five teenagers kept running around the screening, they kept going outside and then coming back making even more noise...but no one stopped them. Tried at start to get a refund but very few young staff did not seem to know what they were doing.

The new Omnipass model is HORRIBLE.

The new Omnipass model is HORRIBLE it doesn't give you any value at all compared to the older one and hey I wouldn't mind it going up in price since you get 1 free ticket per movie but lets not act like the place doesn't make the bulk of it's money through the food. I am hoping they open an Odeon or other Cinema in my area so that Omniplex can have a fire lit under them and stop using underhanded and predatory money making practices.

Worst website of any cinema

The cinema itself was amazing. Seats were excellent. Their website though is the most atrocious I've ever used. They clearly have done no user acceptance testing. Firstly, it would not load properly in Chrome. I had to switch to Edge to get it to function at all. I had a voucher for four seats. Enter my voucher code and it's accepted. Great. But then the miniscual 5 mins you get to book your seat is timed out and it locks your voucher for 30 mins for no apparent reason. So I try again 30 mins later. This time I get through. Total cost £0 as I was using the voucher. Payment page does not like this. So it seems to go through but then rejects. The voucher is locked for another 30 minutes. The only way to book the ticket was to buy more expensive seats to make the payment page work. So it took over 2 hours to book a seat for something that should have taken 5 mins.

Please fix your website.

Top notch service

Always have a great experience at Omniplex in Rubery, looks great inside, food is always quick, bags of popcorn and drinks are big, albeit a bit on the costly side, customer service is top tier, and the customer care centre is also brilliant, had an issue with a payment for my omnipresent, called the customer care centre and was sorted in literally 5 mins.

Visited the Omniplex,Rubery

Visited the Omniplex,Rubery, absolutely appalling, waited that long for food that we was half an hour late for our movie, the food i received was stone cold, and the pizza they was serving had been sitting there for over 45 minutes and was just being reheat.. told to see a manager on the way out , there was no manager to be found.. for the tickets and the food over £60 wasted, bad experience, wouldn't bother

Omniplex vouchers

Received Omniplex vouchers as a gift from family. Tried to book seats, but as the total value was greater than the vouchers, couldn’t use them on line.
Had to visit the cinema and pay £5 more, as ticket prices are more expensive than on line. What a scam! Don’t buy vouchers unless it’s for the exact value of tickets!

Bad experience.

Went as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. Bought the drinks and combo package (2 drinks 1 popcorn) asked for a bag to split the popcorn as kids are fussy with sharing the bag. Was refused to have a empty bag unless I paid for it (price I was being charged for the bag was for a full bag of popcorn). They wouldn't even let me have a drinks cup either. App its for stocktaking purposes that they could hand them out. Its a bag. Not like I was asking for free popcorn. I just wanted an empty bag.
