My MF 2028 is around 2 years old now and it's still working great. Just wanted to write this review because of the awesome customer support I received from the OMTech team. I bought a water chiller with my machine and recently it started leaking from the tube that connects to the machine. I spoke to customer support and they were able to send me the replacement tube quickly. Thanks Hannah!

good product and good support

I purchased the AF2028 with a water chiller and rotary. I am retired and mostly do cutting boards and wood engravings for friends and neighbors. Tech support was helpful when I called in with cutting issues, turns out I just had the wrong speeds for the wood I was cutting. Couldn't be happier with the product and the support I received.

run it all day without a hiccup

I just got my Pronto 60 and it is a great addition to my shop. I had the MF2028 100 and the autofocus and faster cutting speeds are a great help for my production. I got a rotary to do tumblers and the Pronto goes through them crazy quick. Really helps when I have craft fairs coming up, i'm running the pronto pretty much all day and the machine keeps up.

Months of runaround on an $8,000 machine — support is a disgrace

I purchased an ~$8,000 CO2 laser that developed a Y-axis electrical fault. What followed was months of dealing with a support team that either cannot or will not properly diagnose their own machines.
Through systematic troubleshooting I was able to determine that the Y motor works when bypassed directly to the stepper driver, and that swapping the known-working X-axis relay to the Y-axis changed nothing. The relay is not the problem. I submitted all of this evidence to OMTech support in full.
Their response was to send me a replacement relay.
I spent over an hour and a half on hold only to be told by the tech that they did not know enough about my case to explain their own recommended solution. The call ended with a promise that someone would follow up by email — the same channel that had already gone nowhere for months.
The hardware is why these machines get recommended. But the moment something goes wrong you will find out that the support operation behind it is not equipped to stand behind what they sell. No logical diagnostic process, no accountability, and no urgency.
If you are a hobbyist who never needs support, maybe you'll be fine. If you are a business owner who depends on uptime, look elsewhere. The savings are not worth what you will lose when the machine goes down and you are left to fight for a resolution alone.

Absolute terrible product it's good…

Absolute terrible product it's good when it works bit it got delivered broken and since then I've had nothing but issues and replaced parts I'm close to having my k40 for 9 months and had to get 4 different replacement parts as it keeps breaking i think they sent me a second hand machine

Thank you Summer from sales! I was trying to find a machine to help me speed up my hand engravings that wasn't too expensive, and she recommended me the Polar Lite. Now I can retire my dremel and get my leather tags done so much quicker! Placed my order and I can't wait for it to arrive.

Couldn't be happier with my OMTech…

Couldn't be happier with my OMTech laser! Spoke to Jesse on the sales team to lock in my order and he was super helpful. He helped me find the right machine for my woodworking business and even recommended the best rotary for the job. Putting a voice to the company really helped me feel more confident, and the machine is working great!

When I got my manual focus 100W machine, I was having trouble downloading drivers and the z function wasn't working correctly. Got on the phone with tech support, and after a few calls (system was down the first time or something), the guy helped me through it. helpful support that gave me prompt solutions.

bad air assist controls

not a fan of the air assist. don't know if this is an omtech only thing, but bc the air assist setting is in lightburn, i find it doesn't always work. means my air is almost always on.

worth every penny

So, I bought the OMTech Pro 3655. As of right now, this thing is a major part of my business. I make parts for classic vehicles and also large items like photo booths and more. The hybrid oxygen feature is awesome and i use it to cut out plates. An absolute beast of a machine and worth every penny!

Picked up the OMTech Pronto 60 earlier…

Picked up the OMTech Pronto 60 earlier this year after outgrowing my desktop laser. The Pronto feels much more polished—enclosed cabinet, autofocus works well, and engraving quality is very consistent. I do mostly leather and wood products and it handles both without issue. Took me a weekend to fully get comfortable with the settings, and the size is bigger than I expected, but once it was set up, production got way smoother. Solid upgrade machine.

I’ve had my AF3555 for almost 6 years…

I’ve had my AF3555 for almost 6 years now. I clean mirrors and lenses regularly and it just keeps going. Is it fancy? No. Does it make me money every week? Yes. OMTech isn’t perfect, but if you want a machine you can maintain and grow with, this is it.

Pronto 60

Our pronto 60 arrived 3 weeks ago and is yet to be fully operational. The auto focus sensors were bad and the air assist didn’t work correctly. So after 3 weeks of emails and promised call backs, the auto focus is corrected but the air assist is not. The really disappointing part is, if I could get a tech on the phone we could troubleshoot it extremely fast as I have already measured every voltage, cable, and hose on the machine. The irony is the machine looks to be well built and thought through but the tech support is so awful that I am completely annoyed with it.

Do not purchase

Purchase on the 4th Feb, item was shipped out that day. Great! Advised if it cant be delivered by the 11th can it be held in the local depot until i could arrange what was needed. Was happy to collect etc. Someone in OMtech decided to mark it as return to sender. Okay no worries.. was delivered back to the OMtech wearhouse on the 14th Feb. Have been chasing this ever since. Excuse after excuse They cant confirm its back at the wearhouse, its CNY they cant do anything, finally someone calls and confirms infact it was delivered back to the wearhouse. Its now the 26th Feb. No reshipment as they are "reviewing notes" or refund! Avoid if possible. They will take $4000 and not give you anything

To clarify the situation, a communication delay with the carrier regarding your specific delivery request led us to prematurely recall the unit to prevent it from being lost. Unfortunately, this coincided with the Lunar New Year holiday, which severely delayed our internal processing and the updates we provided to you. We realize that "reviewing notes" is a poor substitute for a machine you have already paid for.

No response from Sales Supervisor

I emailed the company and was sent 2 quotes from Summer Rose Hensley, I picked one and asked for her number so I could call and place the order. No response for days so I called the company and was told she would call me right back. After waiting hours i called back and was again told she would call. Guess what, no call again. If the sales team is this unresponsive I'm starting to rethink my purchase plans b/c tech support might be even worse. Response to vendor, you can save the call, your sale ended yesterday so I purchased from another company.

Love that parts are replaceable and actually available. Had to tweak mirror alignment out of the box, but that’s expected. Wish the manual was more detailed, but the online community fills in the gaps.

Can't wait for my Pronto!

I am so excited for my Pronto 35 to arrive! I ordered the 90W to pair with my CNC machine and I like how big the workbed was while still being compact enough for my garage workshop. This is my first OMTech machine and I've been working with lasers for around 8years. Can't wait to see how it meets my expectations.

I ordered a Pro 2440 80W and had some growing pains. Machine arrived fine, but autofocus wasn’t behaving right at first and I had to recalibrate the bed more than once. Support helped, but it took a few back-and-forth emails. Once sorted, it works well, but I wouldn’t recommend this model unless you’re comfortable troubleshooting a bit.

Running a Pro 3655 150W in our small…

Running a Pro 3655 150W in our small signage shop. This thing is a tank. We cut acrylic almost daily and it hasn’t skipped a beat. Setup took time and space (be prepared), but once it’s running, it RUNS. Tech support was responsive when we had questions about the chiller settings. Definitely not a hobby machine — but that’s why we bought it.
