All they told me when I phoned was that it was £69 call out. And that's all you get

Lots of hidden charges and high materials costs. You have to pay them before they leave. £289 ph

I contacted the website lp.24h-plumber.co.uk, and they sent me to this company for help with a leak and blockage. Unfortunately, the work was not completed because we had to ask the engineer to stop. He was away for about 25 minutes but still charged £299 per hour. We also did not receive a receipt for the materials, which were billed at £150—significantly higher than the prices I found at B&Q.

Based on my experience, I would advise others to be cautious when using this company.

I also contacted the website that arranged the plumber this morning and explained the situation — that the gentleman left and has been gone for about 25 minutes, during which the work should have continued. I shared copies of the messages showing my attempts to follow up with him. He mentioned he was going to buy materials, even though we had already informed him about the kitchen leak and no materials were prepared in advance.

The website presents itself as offering excellent service, claiming over 21,000 jobs completed and 15 years of experience. It all seemed very impressive, but unfortunately it turned out to be misleading. They were quick to answer the call and take the job, but they have not responded to any of the emails I sent since this morning. 24hrsengineer@****.com

Company that attended my mums property this afternoon ( before 5pm). Charging £200 per hour for a very straight forward job, plus charged £69 call out , plus £45 admin fee, praying on vulnerable old age pensioners. The engineer was there less than 35 mins which included going back out to his van. Strongly recommend finding anyone else as these will rip you off.
Invoice very vague on what they actually did.

Fraud company. They told me they charge hourly £250 and the job would take minimum 1 hours so I agreed to the contract. They wasted time in diagnosing the problem when I kept telling them where the issue is which after wasting an hour, he agreed to look at it. They invoice me for 3 hours work when it was only 2 hours. In the invoice they charge me a call out fee of £65, 3 hour work of £675, material £19 and administrative fee of £113.85 and a total VAT of £174 making the total £1047 for a simple drain blockage. When I demanded an explanation of the proper breakdown, they were rude and dismissive. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Based on my experience I recommend that nobody should go to this company with an emergency plumbing problem. I was charged 1,800 pounds for less than two hours of work in circumstances where they knew (after midnight and with a tap leaking) I had no option to call someone else in. They have been evasive and inconsistent in their replies to my complaints. Like Sid above I will seek to take this as far as I can. Avoid.

I was charged £957.72 for about 3.5 hours of plumbing work to fix a leaking tap. The invoice had little detail, and when I asked for a breakdown, the admin was pushy and unprofessional, insisting on payment before I could review it. Communication was poor and the rate far above London’s average, I felt pressured and overcharged. Guess what ontop of everything, for £957.72 the old tap was installed and I wasn't even given a new tap. Stay away from this company they are fraudulent! Lets see if they will respond to my initial complaint email I raised on their website. Rest assure, I will be taking it as far as I can!
