I'm not sure why this company thinks they have the right to control public records. It’s totally fine for information to be kept only on official government sites. OpenCorporates isn't a government entity, but they act like they're above it all and ignore any requests to remove data.

My husband told me yesterday night, not to open to any courier from Elta(Hellenic Mails), because that is a reason to come and steal you!

We haven’t ordered nothing from Elta, my husband replied. And if someone rings our doorbell I won’ open the door? No, if the courier claims he/she is from Elta and brings to you a package from your husband, say we haven’t ordered anything! That’s all!
Question: If a guy having in mind to say lies in order to rob me, then I simply have to be locked inside and stop seeing any person!

I have a brand new card with 26€ inside in order for the bank to take for each month 2€ as a rent for having that plastic card in my name.

I was wondering if you heard that 26 billion data were stollen; happened in China and distributed around the net; passwords, addresses, bank accounts, Lord knows what else they found and exposed them.

I have to admit that I am green in everything about corporate and business, but I am open to new things, such as info.

I like to learn each day.
I agree that failed info should be corrected by any company which gathers them.

What I have heard is that there are not many capable hands around to cope with such amount of data and if a company opens for a year and then sieze to exist for any reason then should be taken out.

If this is not an easy task, then ask Lord to intervene on your behalf.

To cut internet for a whole year, to cut all cables of power and become new Neadertal people and live in caves instead of homes with addresses.

Or to prepare Lord to throw iron and fire from above from all our bad dids.

I am so bad and realised it when in a discussion I got so furious that socked me! I was not calm but very angry.

I am not a good judge of characters; I only wanted to please people and when I was an English teacher for small Greek children I always put above 10 in order to pass their lesson and not to be disappointed and left class for good.

This is the company who is publishing personal details without any concerns, I requested them to remove my data since spammers are using my personal details and they rejected my request. I am shocked that personal safety is not important for them.

Without permission, this UK-based company is going onto U.S. state and civic business registration websites (which don't allow search engines to scrape their data) and are stealing people's home addresses and names and publishing it on their Open Corporates website. As a result, search engines are scraping OpenCorporates.com and posting U.S. citizen's names and home addresses on the internet!!!! Open Corporates is endangering my personal safety and exposing me and other U.S. citizens to fraud and scammers!

These type of companies should be illegal. Requested for our personal info to be removed because we were already scammed out of $10000 due to information found on their website. They are so self-righteous and brainwash themselves in thinking they are doing the public a favor...NOT.

Company refuses to remove personal information from its website. There is zero value to anyone to have this particular personal information except for nefarious people. When you ask the company to remove it, they give you a long winded no. Terrible company run by individuals who don’t disclose personal information on themselves! They ought to be ashamed of their behaviors and this website.

They support a company called, Kiln Tobacco and Beer and I used to work there. I worked there for three months, never was put on payroll. I was mistreated. There was always a reason for them to take money out of my pay, ( I owed them money for a bag of chips or something even though I always paid what I owed). The owner literally yelled at me in front of the customers. She also has the employees take Yellow Jackets, (a pill that gives you energy), out of the bottle and put them in little bitty zip lock baggies. (Which is against the law). Then I was told that there was not any proof I worked there so she didn't have to give me my last check. They are a corrupt business!

Recently, someone used my information to open a fraudulent business in my name. This has not been easy to get resolved but in contacting OpenCorporates about the ID Theft, they felt that it was more important to have the business on their website, REGARDLESS if it was a valid business or not!!!

This win a reward came up on my phone saying that I won a TV from Walmart because I had been using my Walmart card and had a lot of points. They said I only had to pay shipping of $5.00 so I signed up and put my info in. They took out $6.99 +$149.99 from my acct. When I called them about refunding my money first they have no links to Walmart so there's false advertisement second they said it was company policy to only refund half of it to me. I am on a fixed income and have trouble making it month to month these people lied and stole money from me.

Awful! I was told that it’s basic knowledge that can be found online… yeah but on my state’s registration! Not for the world to see! All people have to do is look up your name and it’s not right! A lot of us were forced to move from an office to homes or to start in our homes and use a mailing address & typically individuals would have a difficult time accessing our addresses until now! It’s actually not that easy and it shouldn’t be! Yes transparency but it’s about money for this company! They take joy out of millions of companies suffering! The only positive review is the guy that gives everyone a good review he’s probably paid!

Abusive company, scrapes inaccurate out of date personal data and home addresses of ancient microbusinesses that can't afford to legally fight back. Should be banned under GDPR right to be forgotten rules. Now have to hire someone to fight with them and I don't have time or money.

They are bunch of scammers who earn money from your data without your consent. They nee to be sued

This website with out my permission publishes the address for my online business, which is my home address due my llc receiving mail at this location. this presents a serious security problem because it looks like I have a retail store that can be burglarized and implies I have inventory here, which i do not, thus putting myself and family at risk. Furthermore, it does not list my studio location on 29th street, where I do see customers and have security, so the information is not correct.

They used my full name address and they won’t redact it? I want to compile a list a people that have the same position as me to file a class action lawsuit.

The shady company exposes your personal name and address on the internet. Everyone googles your address and all your personal information shows up. They ask you to get a lawyer to remove your information! I am going to get a lawyer to sue this company anyway!

Unethical company posted my personal home address from a public record and made it visible on the front page of Google.

This puts me at a much greater risk of danger from crazy customers.

They are literally endangering me and my parents. Should be illegal, will talk to my civil litigation lawyer about suing them.

When I contacted them about outdated data, it worked fine. Granted they did take weeks to respond, though I'm not entitled a hasty response. Once the support looked over it, they updated their listing of my business to reflect the new address on the secretary of state website. No questions asked, pretty easy process in my experience.

Open corporates based out of london. I believe complaints FOR GDPR violations should be filed with the ICO. Opencorporates is worse than a mugshot company as they make money off "public info" and do it under the pretense of "fair market".
They do not have an opt out because everyone would opt out.
That info is public for people out here that want to make business connections, not to be sold from halfway around the world.
