I had a Merry, Blessed and "easy" labor and I owe you a lot. I knew other programs but this very one made the difference for its clearness and precision. I also recommended it to my (excellent) midwifes.
It was my forth labor. I am from Italy, where homebirth is rather uncommon. I had a wonderful support by two expert midwifes, but I could manage practically everything by myself thanks to the advice and techniques described in Optimal Maternal Positioning.
At 40+5w, after a couple of weeks of Braxton Hicks, labor started but my baby was Right Occipital Transverse, chin hyperextended and still not engaged. I was able to recognise the baby's position and do the right movement or maternal positioning during contractions. At the beginning I used Abdominal Lift&Tuck standing against the wall o sitting on a birthing ball; but Forward Leaning Inversion was the position that really made the difference and caused an irregular, star&stop eary labor to turn into a regular pattern one.
I also applied other easy techniques to the next stages of the labor. I could cope the pain and I had the surprising and wonderful feeling that I really could recognise where my baby was. Almost every contraction was useful and the whole labour was not to fast and pretty tollerable. A few contractions before our baby was born, I told my husband: "I am HAPPY because she will be born soon".
After the birth I had a very quick recover.
I really thank all the staff of Optimal Maternal Positioning and recommend it to all first time or seasoned mothers.

I enjoyed the whole workshop. it was very involving, welcoming and ginny kept interest the whole time, I would recommend this to all of my colleagues

Game changing treatments, tools and knowledge to assist the mother's body to work with the baby to allow and encourage natural birth to progress. I could not recommended it highly enough to any Birth workers and expectant parents.

Thank you for the amazing online training. I managed to give a 100% natural and no intervention birth at NUH hospital thanks to the training that myself and my partner got from you. I would 100% recommend it to any pregnant couple.

OMP is a homebirth essential!

I used Optimal Maternal Positioning techniques daily throughout pregnancy from the second trimester. And at 39 weeks gestation, after having prodromal labour for four days, my doula spent the day with me doing OMP alignment techniques to support my baby into position. My baby bump visibly lifted, before dropping lower than before, and the following morning, my membranes released. Twelve hours later, my surges began, and within four hours, I had my baby in my arms, in my planned homebirth. Without OMP, I believe my dreams of a homebirth would have been lost. And as a birthworker myself, I have seen OMP consistently deliver these positive birth outcomes. OMP is without doubt an essential for homebirth and freebirth. But I believe every pregnant person needs to know about OMP!

OMP for Professionals course was just what I needed! I had taken other courses/workshops to try to have a better understanding of how to help mothers prepare their body for birth and also to understand what positions to use for labor, but….I needed more. OMP just made so much sense ~ and it provided the visual understanding of what was happening in the pelvis and the baby that clicked with what I was learning. I had so many “ahhh” and “wow” moments throughout the course - so much so that when I saw an opportunity to be an OMP educator, I took the leap! I have no regrets ~ it has been awesome! As a doula, seeing it help mothers in labor is the best. I’m excited to continue sharing with others :).

OMP was a total game changer for me. My first birth was the most horrific pain I had ever experienced and ended in a csection under a general - and then a 6 week stay in hospital for me. My second birth was an OMP pregnancy and the single greatest experience of my life. So incredibly beautiful and easy. My third birth was also an OMP birth and was a homebirth. OMP also made my pregnancies easier with tools to help elucidate hip and back pain. It’s a total game changer and I will never have a pregnancy and birth without it again.
