Before I started the coach training, I had spent a lot of time deciding whether coach training was appropriate for me, I felt that I already “coached” my clients so I spent a great deal of time researching courses.

Of all the ICF courses I looked at, Ruth's offered a community, business development opportunities and I felt like she came across as a person where the others I had looked at felt more institutional and less personal.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the course – the surprise books arriving on my doorstep, the 4 hours a week on Zoom, the variety of interesting people and knowledge, the mentors and coaches and motivation of the Hub.

Now that I am further along in my training, I really feel that I have found “my right place in the world” – Ruth’s course has been transformational in my personal life and in changing how I approach my business, my clients and even where I see myself in the long term. Empowering women to take ownership of their wellness and wealth has taken on a distinctly more powerful meaning for me and I’m working on how that will impact my future clients.

I’d be contemplating training as a professional coach for years and finally decided to bite the bullet after working with a coach myself.
I was lucky enough to get my employer to pay and spoke to numerous colleagues and friends about their learning paths.
Another supplier kept coming up and I joined one of their taster mornings.
It was fine, but I just didn’t have the chemistry I’d hoped for. They were less flexible on their timings too and it would’ve meant lots of weekends away from my family.
A trusted connection then mentioned she’d done her training with them and if she was doing it again would’ve picked Ruth and Optimus.
I joined and listened to taster week sessions and immediately loved Ruth’s energy and the feelings I had around needing to become a ‘sage waving Stepford coach’ were banished.

The Tuesday night sessions worked well for me around work and family, although I would admit I was often pooped after a long day at work.
I was blessed with a super friendly cohort and peer coach and the size of c15 was perfect for creating rapport and trusted relationships. They will be friends for life.

Some of the content was material id covered throughout my career, but it either went deeper or the time and space to have practical supervision really added to it. The new content was just enough to be able to apply, but also to whet your appetite if you wanted to go deeper as part of your CPD.
I really appreciated the thoughtful matching with my incredible mentor Lizzie.
They also requested regular feedback and listened and adapted accordingly to enhance the experience.
What really sets Optimus apart is the significant bonus training. At times those of us working felt a little overwhelmed as we were unable to attend live, but the content remains available for you to watch and download for life. We’ve have meet ups post the course to review and discuss the content together.
The community support 121 service provided by Cherry and the team is outstanding and upon talking to others using different providers who have to pay extra to get ACC ready I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Optimus to friends and colleagues.

As a dating coach I wasn’t sure if an ICF accredited training would be useful for my clients, nor did I understand what it would involve. If I’m honest, I was afraid that the course would be a wasted investment, that it would take over my life and that it might even be boring!

I was already working as a dating coach for an award-winning matchmaking company and had trained elsewhere, yet my background left me wondering whether I was in a position to best serve my well-educated clients.

I didn’t want to be an average coach; I wanted to be excellent. I craved more evidence-based techniques and approaches to add to my business, but I was struggling to figure out what route to take.

After mulling it over for weeks, speaking to students who were already on the course, and lightly ‘observing’ Ruth Kudzi on social media, I decided to speak with her directly. Having discussed my fears I was still sitting on the fence. She gently joked that I was a dating coach struggling to commit. Ruth was right. Unwilling to let my risk-averse nature get the better of me, I signed up immediately.

Training with Optimus was a brilliant investment. For myself, my clients, and for my relationship too. I’m no longer anxious about needing to have all the answers and it’s enhanced my self-awareness and professionalism. I’ve seamlessly incorporated my new skills with my clients and the feedback has been staggering.

When I was looking for coach training there was a lot out there. I felt overwhelmed looking at all of the programs and didn't know what to go for. After speaking to someone who knew Ruth, having her recommended and having a call with her, I immediately felt that Optimus was the right choice – I felt they were invested in me and my success.

When I joined the course I was a beginner and I have grew so much in such a short space of time. I think this is down to the training and the support you get on the course - For example my amazing mentor Sandra, the sessions and the community. I can't sing their praises highly enough! The course is value for money and I believe it is life-changing.
It is the sort of thing which works whether you are a beginner or more experienced: I met people on the course who have been coaching for years and want to upskill.

2 years on, I now run my own coaching business and I have also been hired as an in-house coach for an educational organisation. I love my job-and I believe it’s all down to the training I received while on the course and the support Optimus continue to offer after you graduate.

I had been thinking about training as a coach for a while but somethings always stopped me from committing. After receiving some professional coaching in March/April 2021 from an Optimus trained coach, I was impressed and reached out to Ruth Kudzi.

Ruth and I spoke on Zoom and I decided to commit. Ruth was very confident this would be one of the best decisions I ever made.

My life has changed so much since that day and I could never thank Ruth and her team enough!

The course began in May 2021. I felt overwhelmed at the start but I trusted the tutors and the process and was thrilled to be the first from my cohort to gain my Diploma in November 2021.

It has been said that expectations can lessen the joy but this was not the case here!

Armed with the pretty big expectation that this would be one of my best decisions, I was very pleasantly surprised to find it was definitely one of my best decisions!

I got more from this course than I ever anticipated!

The knowledge, tools, teaching, and support is phenomenal. If you are sitting on the fence, my advice would be to go for it. You have very little to lose and so much to gain!

I am just coming to the end of my diploma with Optimus Coach Academy and have been studying and working as a coach for over 10 years! The past 6 months have been truly transformative in enhancing my skills and knowledge, deepening my reflective practice and self awareness. Great course, great support and great sense of community. Very comprehensive and high quality curriculum with lots of business support too. Not only do you learn the skills that you need to develop into a coach, but you learn a lot about yourself in the process.

I looked around for the right course for a long time and when I came across the Optimus Coaching Diploma I knew it was the right one for me straight away.

The course is wide-ranging, comprehensive and stretching. The fact that it includes mentoring is one of the things that made it stand out from other courses.

I’ve just completed my training with Optimus Coaching Academy and I’ve struggled to put into words how incredible my experience has been, but here goes…I was going through massive changes in my life and was receiving coaching at the time, so had the opportunity to personally experience the power of coaching. In my business I was mentoring clients and could see the mindset blocks that they faced and wanted to be properly trained to support them with that, so I took the decision to sign up to do my ICF Coaching Diploma with Optimus…No stone is left unturned by Ruth and her amazing team - their attention to detail is unreal. They equipped me with so many tools and techniques and also supported me in finding my own coaching style amongst all of the different methods and approaches they taught, which I thought was amazing. They care and support you with your personal and professional growth. The training covers everything to set you up to become a ACC, then PCC with the ICF, which is incredible as no other provider offers this. I will forever be grateful for the professional and personal growth joining the course has given me. I could not recommend Optimus more highly!

I joined Optimus Coaching’s Feb ‘21 cohort having studied ‘coaching’ with two organisations prior to this course. The ability to train at the weekend was so helpful as someone already running a full time + business. The online resource was easy to access. It’s also available indefinitely after the course allowing you to revisit as your skills evolve. Completion of the course has allowed be to widen the offering within my current business. I have seen my clients experience more penny drop moments as a result of my improved ability to question. The awareness of so many elements (transactional analysis, beliefs, emotions, neuroscience, psychology, positive psychology and coaching models) and consciousness have improved my service offering in what is usually a very analytic process. My own self awareness and mindset have improved 10 fold and I am starting to see those results in my existing business and my personal life. Putting in the effort with coaching practice meant that I was able to achieve ACC accreditation within 2 weeks of completing the Diploma by steady completion of 4-6 hours coaching each week alongside the weekend modules. This is such an efficient and effective path to ACC! The personal & group mentoring sessions provide a safe space to get support and ask those questions that I wouldn’t previously have asked, improving my own confidence in discussing my thoughts/feeling and asking for help. I have also met a fabulous group of people in my cohort whose support helped massively. Thank you OCA for such a worthwhile journey and experience.

Absolutely brilliant! I cannot recommend this training enough.
I have been in the coaching world since 2012 and I can say that this course delivers and then some. The depth of training and range of tools taught really help you to see coaching as a whole and to bring lots of different techniques to your sessions.
The knowledge and support from the trainers is second to none and means that by the time you are ready to qualify, you are fully confident in your ability.
It is also the best way to become accredited which I think is hugely important as the coaching world grows and adapts. For a lot of associate positions now, it is a minimum requirement.
And last but absolutely not least, the friends I have made on this course have been an unexpected bonus. I wouldn't say we like each other but even though the course has finished, we are now arranging monthly catch-ups on zoom because we miss seeing each other so much.
All in all, a fantastic experience. If you are even half considering doing a coaching diploma, I would highly recommend you take this one.

I've wanted to train as a coach for years. I looked at a LOT of different companies over the years and never signed up. The more companies I looked at, the more I felt that coaching wasn't for me.

They were just not aligned with my values at all! I then found Ruth.

I'd worked with her before. So when I knew that she was setting up a coaching academy, I knew Optimus was for me.

I've loved every minute of being on the course. The team are amazing, really supportive and really knowledgeable. All of my cohort are amazing too. The environment is so supportive, you'll never feel alone.

I’ve just completed the Professional Coaching Diploma with Optimus and what an amazing experience it has been! The support, right from the outset, has been incredible. Ruth really has designed a one stop shop for everything you need to become an accredited coach and set up your own coaching business. I already have several paying clients and have secured some corporate work, and really feel that my business is poised for more growth! In fact, 7 months after starting the course I will have earned more than half my fees back already through coaching - so a great investment by all accounts!

The course content has been fantastic - as someone who has two psychology degrees and has been working in health research for over 20 years, my standards were pretty high - but I was not disappointed! The training was evidence based and the concepts were rooted in sound psychological theory, yet the information was presented very accessibly within a coaching context.

I don’t think I fully appreciated the amount of personal growth I would experience. Being able to receive regular peer and mentor coaching has enabled me to achieve so much more than I felt possible, and feel calm and confident in my own skin! I’ve made some amazing connections and life long friends too!

If you’re unsure about whether to commit to signing up, I’d encourage you to speak to one of the very friendly Optimus team who will be able to talk you through the course and what’s ahead. I have just completed my course with Optimus having been impressed with Ruth Kudzi's approach and I cannot rate the programme highly enough. The variety of content from neuroscience to transactional analysis provides a wide range of approaches that extend way beyond the standard 'GROW' model. The trainers come from a range of backgrounds and the additional content made available to us through specialist workshops is really helpful. Crucially, if you're comparing to other training programmes, the Professional Coach ACTP Diploma is taught at ICF PCC level and with 125 intense hours of training PLUS all your mentoring in group and individual settings, which means you don't need to source this separately (and at further cost). What I wasn't expecting was to feel so closely connected to my fellow trainees - an outstanding and supportive community of coaches all sharing their experience of this journey and creating life-long friendships.

I have recently finished my ICF accreditation with Optimus. I chose to do the weekend cohort as Inwork full time. The weekends were intense but it was great to get immersed in the subject over 2 days. We covered a diverse range to topics - positive psychology, neuroscience, TA at a basic level but enough to get an understanding of the topic and how it could be used for coaching. There was PLENTY of coaching practice and feedback to make sure you made progress and become a confident coach. The tutors were professional, supportive and enthusiastic about their subjects. And something I wasn’t expecting was getting to know myself better and increase in my confidence through my personal coaching but also looking at values, strengths and beliefs in the course. I’ve loved every moment of it and the course has given me a solid base for my coaching career.

What I LOVE about being in the hub is not only the content provided, that's practical, essential and supportive, but it's the access to so many brilliant professionals. Ruth and her team provide excellent support, feedback, information, clarity, and the members really do care about each other and are willing and ready to offer their guidance and support too. The network feels really tight and whatever you need help with, it's always there. Love the hub!!

I am part of the Coaching Hub which is an incredible monthly membership which supports my coaching and business development. It’s been a huge source of support for me whilst I have been developing my coaching business. There are so many tools and techniques, chance to ask questions and access advice and support! It also provides a great space for me to be held accountable!! It’s everything I need in one place which is great!

I was bowled over by just how much value you get from the Optimus. It's an accredited course with the International Coach Federation (ICF), which was massively important to me.

There's an abundance of resources, support from team members and students, live online training and coaching practise. The topics covered are super interesting and include, Neuroscience, Positive Psychology, Values, Beliefs and Strengths to name a few.

You learn so much about yourself and this increased self awareness, along with the skill of self coaching, peer coaches and new friendships is priceless. It's a pretty easy decision to make - choose Optimus Coach Academy!

The course is a truly in-depth approach to coaching, not just covering basics but elements such as Transactional Analysis and DISC.
Ruth is a natural, approachable leader and has a lovely energy, which she brings to all the classes and the Coaching Hub which you can join. She helped me work on my coaching style, my niche and focusing on how to continue building my business and offering.
