Kept my security deposit for a month
They asked for a €300 euro security deposit when we checked in. They said we could pay it on a card, telling us it would be refunded when we checked out providing we'd done no damage to the apartment. It turned out that they hadn't taken the money from my account, just placed a temporary hold on it. When we checked out, they were unable to remove the hold "because it had been seven days". (They were well aware of the length of our stay when we checked in and so should NOT have placed a hold they knew they couldn't reverse). Instead, I've had to wait a whole month for my bank to remove the hold due to inaction. Unacceptable
