Do not be fooled by this company.
To evade his terrible Trustpilot rating and escape his legal liabilities, the owner, Tom, has now actively scrubbed his product images and rebranded the business to Next Day Desks (otbfurniture.co.uk and nextdaydesks.co.uk).
AVOID BOTH NAMES.

Incomplete & Faulty Delivery:
When the delivery finally arrived (after much nagging), it did not include the legs, which was supposed to be coming from a different courier. The desktop that did arrive was incredibly poor quality, completely unrepresentative of the premium images on their website, and had visible glue showing everywhere.
* Broken Agreements: After I raised this, the company acknowledged the defects and explicitly agreed to a full cancellation and refund. They scheduled a collection date with me, meaning I had to stay home to wait for them. They completely failed to show up or coordinate the collection.
* Total Radio Silence: Since failing to show up, the seller has gone completely non-responsive. They ignore deadlines, refuse to send proof of a processed refund, and offer zero communication.
Like the other reviews on here state, this company has a severe pattern of taking your money, failing to deliver what was promised, and then cutting off communication.
I have now been forced to escalate this directly to my bank to initiate a chargeback dispute to retrieve my £399. Avoid this company at all costs.

I wish I'd looked at these reviews before ordering. I purchased a desk in December 2025 - have chased multiple times and was advised it would be delivered then advised I would receive a refund in April but this has not appeared. Absolutely disgusting customer service. I believe the company to be fraudulent.

Another similar story from me of empty promises and money taken but no goods. DO NOT USE. Have reported.

I’ve tried to stay calm and patient through this process but as a customer I can’t imagine a worse experience.

Here is a summary of the customer journey so far.
the desk was originally with a four-week delivery. Its delivery was repeatedly delayed and the information about the delay was false and misleading. They repeatedly promised that it was on the way, but their own deadlines came and went.
when the desk did arrive, it had damage to two areas of the surface. I immediately sent images to show the damage. I was offered a replacement (that somehow they were going to be able to send writhing days) or a repair kit and a partial refund. I opted for the latter
On 18th July after the chat I had with them was deleted I wrote an e-mail requesting an update on my order. I received a reply stating that the repair kit was on the way. I immediately replied to enquire about the promised refund.
Ive just returned from holiday to find that neither the refund nor the repair kit have arrived. Also the desk has badly faded.

For me to salvage this piece of junk I’m going to have to sand it, stain it again and properly seal it, that’s on top of the repair to the damage.

Since this time the retailer has dangled the possibility of partial refunds and repair kits under my nose in a protected email conversation where I have sought in good faith a reasonable recompense for the situation.

The business owner has lied and made false promises to resolve the matter on around ten separate occasions, the last being an assurance that a partial refund had been issued together with a confirmation email. This was two weeks ago.

My next form of recourse is trading standards.

Wow if I'd only read these reviews...absolutely awful company please do not part with your money to these scammers ....piad for table in good faith then never heard a thing ..now trying to get my money back ...

DO DOT USE Outsidetheboxts. They are scammers! The website looks so professional and legitimate and I even received the samples I ordered, but they don't respond to emails, the tracking information doesn't take you anywhere, and I'm mortified that I didn't realise until after I'd ordered and the lead time was coming to an end that something was clearly wrong. I only started to smell a rat when there wasn't any any update about my order and I couldn't get hold of anyone, so I came on here and felt sick when I saw the reviews. If this is you, contact PayPal ASAP if you paid via this method (I also contacted my bank) to try to get a refund. I would hate for anyone else to feel foolish and violated and it saddens me that some people are happy to make money this way.

Wish I'd read Trustpilot before buying - a scammer and a fraud. 1-star is too many.

Disgusting scammer. Paid my money for a desk over 6 weeks ago, shipment "delayed" and now the Etsy shop has been deleted. AVOID!!!!

Thief! That's all you can say about this company.
Ordered a desk 6 weeks ago, that supposed to arrive within 2-4 weeks.
They are lying for the past 2 weeks it is being dispatched, and refuse refund.

Wish I could leave no stars, pretty much the same as every other person on here complaining about the same thing, and now he’s blocked me on etsy. The man is a con artist, an absolute waste of space for making people sit around for weeks on end waiting for an item that never turns up. He should be shut down and removed. Absolute scum bag

Ordered a desk back in March with a 2-4 week lead time.
2 months later and the item has not arrived and the company have not responded to my emails.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO PART WITH YOUR MONEY AND GET NOTHING Ordered a desk 16th March waited the full 4 weeks with no issues even though the website said dispatched within 2 to 4 weeks, when it did not turned up, and wondering why the website highlights how it prides ítself in communicating with customers, I contacted the seller with no luck, tried again, he answered back to say would deliver next week that is it!, nevertheless nothing got delivered and no email, tried again nothing, contacted him via the app shop that tracks the transaction and he emails back asking if I received his email, I replied what email? The one he sent saying nothing, email several times and no further communication, now trying to get money back through my credit card providers, I wish I had checked Trustpilot before ordering.

As per the previous comments 💯 avoid placing an order with this company.
I ordered a table console at the end of March . It did not arrive & no response to my emails . I had to make a claim via Pay Pal to get a r refund . Avoid !!

Avoid at all costs. Order was placed over 6 weeks ago, emailed a couple of times to chase and had a response with a delivery date. That date went past and I emailed without receiving any reply. Ended up having to put a claim through PayPal to get a refund.

Desk never arrived, no communication at the end. Had to get my money back through PayPal

3 months later, and the item hasn't arrived. Hardly any response to any of my emails. I presume this is a scam.

I ordered a console table with 1-2 weeks shipping, 3 and half weeks later no item . Emailed numerous times with no response. Do not order from this company it’s terrible that they do not even bother to communicate it with you . I got my money back but only as I opened a case with PayPal

Ordered a desk on 9 March and it's arrived today - slightly later than promised but worth the wait as it's gorgeous - extremely well packaged. I do believe Sam when he said he's had problems with the website -he's been on Etsy for five years and his reviews are all fabulous

Item never showed, no reply to emails nor web chat.
