I cannot recommend Owen Gibb & Sons highly enough. From start to finish, their service was outstanding. They initially came out to assess our old boiler, which unfortunately was leaking and could not be repaired. They clearly explained the issue and gave us several well-considered recommendations for replacement boilers, helping us choose the best option for our home.

They sourced the new boiler for us and also upgraded us to Hive which has been a great improvement. Communication throughout was excellent - they stayed in regular contact to arrange dates and kept everything running smoothly and efficiently.

The workmen were extremely punctual, polite, professional and respectful of our home. Their work was completed to a really high standard, and they left absolutely no mess behind. The whole instillation was carried out seamlessly with great attention to detail.

We are delighted with our new boiler and the service provided. I would not hesitate to recommend Owen Gibb and Sons to anyone looking for top-quality plumbing and heating services.

Had company round for quote on my bathroom. Have waited over 3 weeks now for the quote.
They seemed to know what they were talking about when they came to assess the job.
I have chased the quote 3 times but still nothing. They. Assured me they would get it out to me.
Why can they not be honest and say they either didn’t want the job or it was too difficult for them rather than wasting my time.

Owen Gibb have carried out many tasks for me for several years and consistently deliver.

My latest project was to refurbish both kitchen and bathroom replacing original furnishings, fittings and piping with a modern finish. A full multi-discipline team procured, delivered and installed equipment and materials to schedule, on time and hassle free.

With just a few hours until I was due to leave on holiday, I managed to stupidly drop an expensive, almost new, uninsured iPhone down a closed bathroom radiator! I rarely panic but on this occasion..! Owen Gibb were great, despite all their team being on jobs, they managed to find someone to come out who patiently dismantled the entire thing to rescue my phone (and my holiday!) I didn’t get his name (I was too stressed!) but if I ever need work doing (hopefully not a stuck phone) I will definitely use you guys again. Much appreciated!

Had a central heating issue that needed looking into, as an untrained person the trust needed to be there from the start and Owen Gibb (referred to by a previous customer) was definitely the right company to choose. From the initial visit to the original quote for the repairs along with the timescale for repairs it was exactly as they said it would be to the penny. Workmanship on time, clean, tidy knowledgeable and polite. No hesitation to recommend this company.

Charged over £420 for parts costing £250. Charged 2.5 hrs labour at £180 when only in flat half an hour so maybe an hour at £72 would be reasonable. In all tried to overcharge by about £278.
A quote was provided and the parts cost was queried with no explanation provided. Due to being without heating in winter there was no time to get other quotes. Several times Owen Gibb has been asked to provide a detailed list of parts, costs and suppliers and for an explanation of the high labour cost. This has never been provided. The £120 reduction is not even half of the apparent overcharge.

We have waited three months to get a contract despite chasing politely and we received a very brief email with no explanation saying they would not do the work and we should find another contractor. The first quote missed out some important details and was slow to arrive after site visit. We have mobility issues and have not been able to use the shower so our need was severe. Owen Gibb proved unreliable and we cannot recommend them. Use other contractors.
