I attended the Oxford Engineering & Physics programme this past December, and it genuinely exceeded what I'd hoped for going in.

Living inside an Oxford college, eating in the dining hall, walking to tutorials through the same courtyards generations of students have used made the experience feel real, not staged. The tutorials themselves were the academic highlight: sessions were small, the graduate tutors clearly cared, and the discussion-led format pushed me to actually think rather than just absorb material.

Outside of class, the excursions to Oxford's museums were something I keep thinking about months later. The History of Science Museum was the standout, getting to see orreries from the 1700s up close was one of the best parts of the whole trip. The craftsmanship on instruments that old is staggering, and as someone interested in astronomy and engineering, it was the kind of thing you simply can't get from a textbook.

The staff were responsive and well-organised throughout, and the whole programme felt thoughtfully put together from start to finish. If you're a high school student wondering whether it's worth it; for me, the answer was clearly yes. Highly recommended.

My son attended OSS during the summer and what strikes me most, as his mother, is that he still brings it up constantly - the friendships, the tutors, the college life. It was clearly more than just a programme to him. It became a memory he will carry forever, and one that shaped the way he sees his future. We are deeply grateful!

I sent my daughter to the December OSS program and she returned more confident, curious, and focused than ever! The academic standard and staff care far exceeded our expectations, I couldn't recommend OSS more highly.

Amazing opportunity with great support from staff in every aspect. A wide variety of experienced tutors provided an amazing university-like learning environment. Well organised activities to interact with peers and an overall safe environment. Could have had more group activities outside of the college.

I attended Oxbridge Summer Scholars in December of 2025, and it was such a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, both educationally and socially.

My stream course of Law, PPE, and Philosophy challenged me in ways my regular high school curriculum has never before. Its contents actually made me rethink my future career choices and how I observe the overall legal system as a whole, whilst also diving into the new territory of Philosophy. The tutors we had were amazing; kind, understanding, patient, but also pushed us.

Social wise, OSS allowed me to interact with students from all over the world, learning all their cultures and languages that I likely wouldn’t have otherwise! I met so many amazing people at this program and still keep in touch with many of them to this day, and calling them some of my best friends.

Overall, if you’re thinking of joining OSS, absolutely do it. My only feedback is that I wish it was longer, time went by way to fast and I miss it more then words can describe.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that provided great opportunities to learn from renowned members of their respective fields. would highly recommend.

First of all, OSS takes place at two of the world’s greatest universities: Oxford and Cambridge. Participants can stay in the dormitories, enjoy the dining halls, and take classes just like real college students — it was truly an extraordinary experience.

What’s more, you can choose to study a field that genuinely interests you, such as biomedicine, STEM, or economics, all taught by graduates from top universities. However, what really makes this program stand out is the people — the tutors, the advisors, and the fellow students were all fantastic.

While the academic aspects were excellent, I believe the friendships and inspiration I gained were even more valuable. In addition, the non-academic activities were also very fulfilling: visiting Blenheim Palace, exploring Cambridge, and playing cards with friends.

This balance between authentic academic study, an inspiring environment, and pure excitement perfectly represents OSS. I would highly recommend this program to anyone seeking a truly life-changing experience.

Attending the Oxbridge Summer Scholars program was an incredible experience. It helped me gain a clearer understanding of what I want to study at university and allowed me to explore my academic interests in depth. The lectures, discussions, and guidance from the tutors were truly inspiring, and I discovered new passions I hadn’t considered before.

Once in a lifetime experience

The Oxford Summer School (OSS) provided me an invaluable glimpse into student life at Oxford, far beyond what online research could offer. The program excels academically, offering subject-specific streams with passionate tutors who explore topics beyond high school level, alongside interdisciplinary lectures that challenged our knowledge and simulated university-level study. It’s ideal for students in their final years of high school, helping as it helped us refine our academic interests. Beyond academics, the experience of living at St Peter’s College, with its central location, cozy accommodation, and stunning dining hall, brought the Oxbridge vibe to life. The supportive student supervisors, engaging evening activities like casino night and murder mystery, and trips to iconic landmarks such as the Bodleian Libraries, Blenheim Palace, and Cambridge enriched the experience further. Despite a packed schedule, we had ample time to explore Oxford. Overall, I would recommend anyone to do the OSS program, especially for those considering studying at the University of Oxford or Cambridge.

One of the best educational experiences I have had so far. The interview helps to make the experience more tailored and personalised (e.g. I was interested in Sociology, and they were able to make arrangements to add this module to a part of my learning experience here.) The tutors were all based in top universities in UK, and the knowledge we were introduced to were not only curriculum based, but also research and individual opinions that the lecturers had. I was also able to immerse myself completely in the culture of UK university studying style, and this experience certainly broadened my periphery and sharpened my critical thinking in assessing knowledge and engaging in the act of learning. It is definitely one of the best experiences I have had in not only learning, but also growing and enjoying the independence given to us.

OSS was an experience that gave me insight into what it's like to be a student in Oxford beyond what I could find through my own research online. I'd really recommend this programme to anyone who is looking to find out if Oxbridge is a good fit for them.

In terms of the academic side of things, I think the programme really sets you up to realise what you want to do in university. Each day, depending on your interest specific stream, a new tutor comes in to talk about their field of expertise. They spanned a wide range of topics beyond the high school level and were clearly all very passionate. If you are interested in their field, there are lots of opportunities to talk to them during lunch or the small group tutorials. In the afternoon, there is also an interdisciplinary keynote lecture which brings all the streams together. I would recommend this for those who are in the last 1-2 years of high school as some of the topics begin to push the boundaries of your knowledge and give you a glimpse into university level study.

Apart from the academics, I was also able to experience college life and explore Oxford to get a feel of what it would be like to live there. St Peter's College has a central location which meant that many restaurants and stores were less than a 10 minute walk away. Being able to eat 3 meals a day in the gorgeous dining hall was also definitely a highlight. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and cozy, and lived up to my expectations of the Oxbridge vibe. The student supervisors were all very welcoming and made me feel at home even though I had travelled to the opposite side of the world alone. They are always available if you need help or support, even during the night. Each evening they organise activities for everyone to unwind and really bond with your peers. Some of my favourites were casino night and the murder mystery. During the weekend we also visited the Bodleian libraries and Blenheim Palace, and spent a day in Cambridge to get a feel for both the university towns. The schedule might seem too full from what I've described but I still had enough free time to explore the city (Oxford felt very safe).

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at OSS and it is definitely a worthwhile one to have if you are considering Oxbridge as an option for tertiary study.

OSS gave me so much insight and experience within my area of interest with the content being interdisciplinary and the tutors being able to help out. I also met many people who shared similar interests with me and getting to hangout with them after sessions was always super fun. Although it came with a hefty price tag, I highly endorse it and am fully confident when I say that it is worth it.

The programme exceeded my expectations as it allowed me to explore both my interests as well as new content that I may want to pursue in university. There is ample opportunity for interdisciplinary learning and it provides students with a good platform to explore university life. A highlight of my experience here is definitely the tutors. Each tutor was able to explain complex science knowledge step by step such that it was understandable to a 16-18 year old. Additionally, the tutorials gave me the opportunity to have more one-to-one interaction with the tutor and go more in depth into my areas of interest. The programme is definitely worth its price tag and I would highly recommend it.

OSS is a great programme for those who want to explore interdisciplinary fields regarding their area of interest. The programme contained the most involved tutors, really interesting lectures and an amazing campus to stay in. I also met numerous students who shared similar goals to mine and we had so much fun hanging out together between and after lectures. I would definitely recommend this programme to anyone who wants to spend their summer gaining insight on the lecturing systems in Oxbridge universities and explore the sights of the cities Oxford and Cambridge.

OSS exposed me to numerous STEM areas while preserving their depth. The overall structure of the program, accompanied by extremely knowledgeable tutors, makes this a truly unforgettable experience— I could not recommend this program enough for those who wish to explore academic areas in an interdisciplinary manner while enriching their preparation for the university admissions process.
