I was a bit on edge at first because of the reviews here, but after using their Drop and Go Service which is to link their warehouse to your home final destination, my worries were basically gone, I wouldn't have purchased if they didn't have such great designs,
the price was worth it in spite of the shipping costs, I emailed them 10 days after ordering through PayPal to see what the go is with the constant changing dates at 2 am on a Wednesday I sent the email, they called me that very morning almost as if I was the very first customer that day and they gave me the real estimation date. The order turned up ahead of their estimate, I did ask them to check that I have everything on arrival, and from looks of the packaging it had been resealed, I have everything and in great condition.
I couldn't be any happier with my Sofa Bed. For those wondering I ordered the Castro Breeze Sofa Bed in Maple colour, very simple to assemble, has backrest legs and a hidden compartment on the bottom where the cushions and legs were tucked away ready to be assembled.

Disgusting delivery service
We have no complaint about the service or the ptoduct. Our complaint is with their delivery contractor. The delivery van arrived with two islanders. One was on ghe ph and the other one decided to lift a very heavy mango wood piece and unwrap the box on our new oak flooring after being told to open it on the verandah leaving a gouge in 2 places that now needs sanding. Neither party wants to take responsibility after 4 mths. They did get someone down from Sydney recently to try to buff the gouge out but to no avail. It is too deep. The scratches were caused by the large staples on the box thebitem was in. So, we are now forced to take action and to take it to the media. You would think that insurance by one of the parties would cover the sanding required. Did i mention we just had a major renovation done and only had the keys for a month before this happened. They picked on the wrong people. E And E
Absolutely disgusting customer service
Absolutely disgusting customer service, we ordered new lounges in October 25 they were delivered in the beginning of November, one lounge was delivered with a broken frame, it is now nearly the end of January and the issue is still not resolved .
People should steer clear of this company who are quick to take your money but not resolve the issues, they just lie and fob you off with emails.
Awful quality
I wish I had read the reviews before I paid $6k
Awful quality, have tried to return unsafe and faulty table and they refuse.
Also a chair fell apart after I sat on it once.
Have complained and they say they will think about it.
I have limited time and they want me to wait 2 months to see if the table works, meanwhile cant use the table and cant rent out my unit.
Going now to Fair Trading.

2 confirmed major faults within 2 weeks
Misrepresentation and damaged goods with 2 confirmed major failures in less than two weeks and stubborn refusal to provide meaningful remediation.
First: I was misled in-store about a dining table being solid timber (it was veneer). After pressing for days for specs, I was only told the truth the day before delivery, forcing a last-minute cancellation for a refund (still not processed).
Second, not having a table I rushed to purchase a Dawes dining table from clearance. Despite being reassured fragile handling standard, the table was poorly damaged by Oz Design’s right before delivery. Oz Design admitted in writing that this was a major failure (again!).
I requested a replacement, which was available, and the ACCC confirmed that under Australian Consumer Law, for a major failure, the consumer chooses the remedy. .
I was once more left high and dry with Oz Design REFUSING the replacement, arguing they could not “match the scratches” (minor).
This is an absurd position and not how Australian Consumer Law works. Clearance items are not excluded from consumer guarantees, and for a major failure the consumer chooses the remedy. Instead, Oz Design forced a refund otherwise putting claim on hold effectively stalling while I was left without a dining table after weeks of disruption.
This shows a concerning pattern of misrepresentation, careless handling, and deliberate minimisation of responsibility, doing the ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM to close the case rather than provide areasonable resolution. ESPECIALLY after i experienced TWO major failures in a row.
Overall, this was an excruciating and despicable customer experience.
Customer service very disappointing for this company
Received my order but the chairs didn't quite fit the table as expected. The table was part of the order as well. I emailed the store the photos, then followed them up There response was you'll need to go through customer care. I simply just wanted to swap them out for another chair and also i wanted to up my order and purchase bar stools to match.
Customer service very disappointing to say the least. I rang, i was told to email, after 3 phone calls 3 emails, 3 days, the result was an email back to me to say unable to assist due to change of mind.
Hardly a change of mind when it doesn't fit the table correctly, nor did you care i was willing to spend another $2000. Seriously disappointing.
Don’t care about their customers, only the money
Ordered expensive bar chair advertised as white. When opening the box noticed they were cream. Before unpacking them I contacted customer care and asked if I could exchange them for black as the cream didn’t match my white kitchen. Took a week to respond and said no exchange as that was what I ordered. I paid a lot more for the chairs, when I could have got similar cheaper elsewhere, but wanted to support an Aussie company. If I ordered black chairs and they were brown on arrival would the outcome be the same? I will never buy from them again and will let everyone I know not to buy from them either.

Product quality received is nothing like the quality of the products on display in store!
After receiving my lounges, it was abundantly clear that the lounges received were visually & physically (level of comfort) different to the lounge on display in store. I went back to the store & was told they were unable to assist & I was to email their generic ‘customer support’ email. The store staff & online support team were both as useless & as unhelpful as one another..
After countless emails, OzDesign finally arranged a ‘sofa technician’ to come out, inspect the lounge received & compare this with the lounge in store. They then prepared a report outlining all the inconsistency & quality flaws between the two & issued this to OzDesign.
OzDesign refused to take accountability or acknowledge that the items received don’t match what’s on display or what’s advertised - items received are dodgy/cheap/knockoff’s & nothing like those on display in store!
I’m now stuck with a $3.5k+ lounge that has rock-hard block foam in the cushions, legs that don’t reach the ground and cushion covers of differing sizes.. it is nothing like the soft/comfortable foam used in the display lounge, where the cushion covers are all consistently sized & all feet touch the ground as on display
OzDesign have made no attempt to resolve this - either offering a refund, offering to replace the lounges in their entirety or even just the offer to replace the cushions with the quality of those in store..
Rubbish - don’t purchase from these thieves!!

I’m reviewing for my dear family member who were greeted with negative behaviour due to receiving faulty unusable couch and OZ design furniture refused all customers legal rights to a refund which is warranted without forcing them into a store credit voucher instead as it has gone far behind a store credit point. BE WARNED TO LOOK PAST EVEN CONTEMPLATING PURCHASING THE FURNITURE FAILING TO MEET ANY FORM OF EUR CATCHING OR WUALITY STANDARD YOU ARE expecting to receive as an end product.
OzDesign Experience
Facts. OzDesign are trying to skirt from ACL laws and are creating their own playbook based on no merit. We are now on our third replacement table with significant issues. Processed multiple emails over a month. OzDesign are happy to inspect the table but only on their terms which goes against the ACL rules. I’ve spoken to their “Customer complaint manager” who doesn’t seem to actually understand the main issue. Table has 16 cracks in the grain. Just outside of OzDesign warranty but still within ACL laws. They want to send out an inspector to check the table which is absolutely fine, except they cannot provide what would happen afterwards if anything due to “depreciation of table”. Something which is not in the consumer laws”. Ironically the price of the table is now significantly cheaper as well.
I would absolutely not purchase from this company again based off the experience we have received. I would also urge other customers to do their due diligence with this company as well. Instead of OzDesign approaching this issue with seriousness, it seems they are more interested in playing a game of kick to kick with emails even with out extensive photo evidence.
“Here at the home of OZ Design, we make products, for life”. Misleading and a half. Life isn’t 3 years.
Don’t bother replying to me saying to email to “look into this” because I’ve done so for an entire month which has been a massive waste of time from a consumer point.
Extremely disappointed in the services…
Extremely disappointed in the services provided from OZ design furniture. I ordered a tv unit and dining table mid may and we still haven't received our orders. We only purchased the items because the person serving us told us that the dining table was in stock in Tullamarine and the tv unit would be delivered in June. It is now august and we finally received communication that our order is ready. They delivered the wrong colour. I have completely lost patience now and will not be recommending OZ design to anyone. Another concerning aspect was the person serving us was eating fish and chips behind the counter while putting our order through, smelt of cigarettes and didn't seem to know how to navigate the computer system.
As expected
Ordered online, was a little skeptical because the price was very competitive and I'm UK based, the sofa did take a little while to arrive but the support team were in contact along the way and really nice so after a slightly longer wait but decent saving I'm happy with my sofa.
Good product but difficult assembling
I purchased 2 Turner Recliner chairs from the Castle Hill NSW store. I was happy with the instore experience.
The issue that stopped me rating my purchase higher is the chairs are supplied in a box completedly unassembled. The staff member had told me that the chairs needed to be assembled but not that it's a reasonably complex process and will take a couple of hours. I wasn't offered s way to pay to arrange the assembling the chairs instore. I understand there are third party companies that will do so but I have no idea if they are any good.
Finally after spending a few hours assembling the chairs and I'm stuck on two circlips that are too hard for my strength to insert where required. I will need to reach out to a stronger and probably younger person to complete the final step.
I purchase 2 Barwick Ceramic Stools in…
I purchase 2 Barwick Ceramic Stools in July 2024. That’s 7 months ago. One arrived after months later damaged with an obvious repair made to cover it. The second stool has not arrived. The emails and phone calls have been draining. I have been called to the store to pick up the stool and no one could find it. I have been asked to photograph the damaged stool and provide evidence even though this was already done. The Belrose Oz Design store is poorly managed and the customer care just won’t resolve issues. I would never recommend OZ Design to anyone.

I recently purchased a $1500 chair from Oz Design. The chair was a present from my Partner for my 60th Birthday. I have back issues and need to sit on something that is very firm and mentioned this to Oz Design before ordering and they said firm foam would be put in the chair. The manufacturer said the material originally selected was too firm and that it would pucker so a softer material was selected. It took a couple of months for the chair to be made. After three days the chair started to pucker and I took a photo of this and did the same a week later. Even though the manufacturer put slightly firmer foam in the chair it still wasn’t firm and it can be easily depressed. I sent the photos with an email with the two issues. Oz Design Customer Care contacted me a few days later and then a week later they wrote a four paragraph response with a lot of generic words and said they don’t make ergonomic chairs and that firmer cushioning had been put in the chair. Effectively they said bad luck. I responded to their inadequate response and the non Customer care person will not respond. I even made suggestions to them about what could be done including a compromise. I weigh seventy kilos and sit on the chair for about three hours a day and their response is not acceptable. The non Customer care person has also not even addressed the puckering issue. I would not recommend Oz design at all and I not sure why they have a group called Customer Care because that is not what they do. I am a very unhappy customer. I do expect that they will respond to this review with another generic response because that is what they have done for other reviews.
Rosdale Buffet 200cm Late Delivery
Purchased a Rosdale Buffet 200cm Spotted Gum.
Product Eventually arrived AFTER 10 MONTHS. Promised delivery around 18 weeks.
No offer of refund when requested just "will arrive soon".
The Rosdale Buffet itself is a very nice peice of furniture,
but I will never buy a peice of furniture from them! again as I expect delivery eta to be at least close to what is quoted.
I opted for a stylish bed frame
I opted for a stylish bed frame, nightstands, and a dresser, and they all fit together beautifully. The designs are modern yet functional, maximizing both space and style. What stood out to me was the wide selection of finishes and colors available; I found the perfect match for my existing decor. The quality of the materials is remarkable, and I can tell this furniture will last for years. The delivery process was smooth, with friendly professionals who were careful not to damage any walls or flooring.
Hopeless delivery service
Never arrived. Wasted 2 days rearranging our schedules to be at home for the 4 hour window. No call, no follow-up, no apology, no compensation for the delivery charge. Don't do it, go elsewhere. The staff were useless!
Never pay when you order
Never pay when you order. Items that were supposed to be in stock were not. We weren’t told until the delivery turn up which we paid $295.00 for delivery. It took 5 months to receive the rest of our order and we had to pickup from store. No store person to help load just shown where item are I store and left to get then and had to take them through the store as they did want to open the roller door at the back of the store.
Simply awful
If I could rate them zero stars I would. Their customer service sucks and they don’t even try to help.
We ordered a very expensive table based on an in-store sample and what arrived was nothing like it. I contacted them asking for help and for someone to call me and apparently they will only correspond by email with what seem like prepared scripts which don’t help. They just keep telling me it’s not warrantable (when I never mentioned a warranty claim) and now I’m stuck with an awful table.
They won’t offer anything basically just a big finger and a go away.
