I stumbled upon Paper Republic randomly online after watching hours of YouTube videos about keeping a personal journal. After 6 months of finally sticking to a daily planner/journal system, I decided to reward myself with a custom leather journal cover. It was so worth it! I know I will be using it for many years to come and I love the idea of switching out journals once you're done with them. The notebooks themselves feel less permanent now, which to me is perfect because I always fear making them look bad. The leather cover was exactly as I imagined and the quality is fantastic. I highly recommend anyone on the fence, to treat yo'self!

So disappointing - I spent months researching the products and following them on social media. I saw these gorgeous sturdy ,glossy leather covers on beautiful journals and planners.
Before I even opened the box which held the voyager leather cover folder I knew that I had made a terrible mistake . It was so light and flimsy. It’s basically a piece of unfinished leather with three holes in it to thread the elasticated ribbons through . The edging is unfinished and the leather scratches very easily. The insert which is described as a card holder is a piece of cardboard. In fact the folder itself looks like an insert .
I went to look up “ returns” when I remembered that I had customised it so I did not go down that route.
I gave 2 stars because the delivery was very fast and the mid- year planner is reasonably ok. The piece of leather itself is probably good quality as a raw material. I like the idea of it being refillable and that there is a choice of inserts.
As an avid admirer of all things associated with writing and journaling for most of my life I purchased this very expensive item for a special occasion . It put a real “ dampner” on my day !!! It is a great concept but unfortunately, did not live up to expectations .

I am more than happy with my purchase! The personalized leather notebook from l'atelier is really high quality and in my opinion you do feel that it's handmade, with love. I also loved that you get updates on the process of the journal. It took about 7 weeks until I got it in my hands but it is absoluetly worth the wait!

At Paper Republic, I've found the quality I'm looking for in my notebooks. The leather is one of the most important criteria for me when choosing a Paper Republic notebook. I also appreciate the variety of formats (pocket, A6, XL, A5, and A4). This allows me to use not only Paper Republic's high-quality inserts but also those provided by various institutions in standard DIN sizes.
