Using paramount company for the first time took a lot of stress out of our construction project. We moved the kitchen and a room approximately 8m back and the process wasn't very smooth at first the team gave us great advice on things I didn't even know about.
They invited us to office and when we visited they also connected us with an external supplier which made everything even easier to manage. They made sure we delivered everything correctly and spoke to us with genuine kindness. They completed all of our work including the architectural services the office and labour staff was politely that it felt like I was talking to my own people.

I made a plan to upgrade my kitchen, windows and front tiles. I shared this plan with four different companies saying that i had hire the one that provided me with the best solution. But honestly none of them shared a proper project with me everyone just seemed interested in selling their services.

Then while scrolling through social media I came across an ad for a company called paramount. I contacted their team and found them to be very professional. I told them I wanted to visit their office and discuss my project in person. They shared their office address with me and when I visited I met one of their employees Sophie.

I shared my entire plan with her and we discussed everything in detail. I made the payment professionally and their team arrived according to the agreed deadline. They delivered results beyond my expectations and I truly appreciate that. There were a couple of minor issues and Sophie informed me that if I had any concerns I could directly contact their head office. She even shared their email and phone number with me which I really appreciated it's rare for an employee in a senior position to openly shared head office contact details for complaints.

After the project was completed I noticed a few small issues so I contacted the head office. Once again Sophie herself took responsibility and resolved everything. The work done exceeded my expectations so thank you very much to the entire Paramount team.

My project still under going process butt i am happy so far. Very helpful team they explain the situation and go out of their way to assist. Zoye take time to understand my party wall situation and guide me best way and give me good option. thanks

Just had the chimney breast taken out of my downstairs living room and honestly, its made such a difference to the space. The engineer came round first had a proper look measured up and explained what needed supporting upstairs. They worked out exactly what size steel beam we had need and gave us a full report with all the calculations, pad stone details and fitting instructions.

My builder followed it step by step and building control signed it off straight away. Just a clean job done right. If you are thinking of doing the same i had definitely go with these guys.

I used paramount for a chimney breast removal report. The engineer was punctual explained everything clearly and carried out a detailed check. The report was easy to understand with all the right calculations and guidance for building control.

Very professional and straightforward services would definitely recommend.

From the initial consultation to the final design checks, the complete process was smooth.
The engineer took time to understand my plan carried out a detailed site survey and clearly explained which walls were load bearing. Their load analysis and material selection gave us peace of mind that everything met UK regulations.
Before wrapping up they double checked all beams and foundations to ensure safety and stability. A reliable well organized service that made the entire wall removal process.

Scammers. Avoid this firm. They did not provide services which they had agreed to in writing before payment was taken. Our structural report was also missing a lot of crucial details.

Their solution of course, was for us to spend more in hopes to receive the service we originally asked for.

Edit: They have just replied to this review saying they will 'be in touch'... Bearing in mind they have already been in touch, ringing me up asking me to delete this review 😂 they are a bunch of cowboys masquerading as a real firm.

Booked this company to do a structural report to removal a pillar and put in suitable RSJ beam in my kitchen in Brighton .
£400 upfront .
He arrived late took measurements.
Only to say he would need to return to cut a hole to inspect further .
He arrived asked for a HAMMER !
Smashed through the ceiling, making lots of mess . Took photos .
Attempted to sweep up , but still finding plaster board now !
The builders quoting said didn’t he have a cutting tool , you could put back plaster board .
AVOID ! 😩

I requested a structural report to determine the suitability of the current building in place; a timber structure currently being utilised as a garage. The report should have also referred to the suitability of the footings as this is a fundamental part of any building development, whether made of traditional bricks/block/steel or timber. The council highlighted that the ‘Approved Document A – Requirement A1’ should be provided and required clarification on several other matters. I instructed Paramountbuilt to liaise directly with the council to facilitate a successful conclusion. Paramountbuilt also tried to deflect stating that a pilot hole would be required to inspect the existing foundations, this had been done and examined on their first visit despite their protestations. In fact, the gentlemen who carried out the assessment made extensive notes and was left alone to examine the garage for over an hour. To date I have had to facilitate this as Paramount have failed to reach a successful conclusion with the council after 7 months and despite actively pursuing Paramount to bring this whole matter to a conclusion, I have encountered a ‘wall of silence’.
I requested a ‘Party Wall Agreement’ with my neighbour to be carried out by Paramountbuilt and after several re-writes due to spelling mistakes such as names, basic spelling errors etc a formal document was sent to my neighbours. My neighbours who employed their own surveyor pushed back to the incorrect process being undertaken and the incorrect forms being supplied, it was agreed that the process needed to start again after wasting a whole 5/6 weeks. Furthermore, a new surveyor was handed the responsibility of concluding this matter, initially this undertaking was competent and then a ‘wall of silence.’ When I managed to contact the surveyor directly, he pointed out that he was unsure as to I was and that he was now working on a large housing development. Eventually, after pursuing this further another surveyor was appointed and in fact he was the original surveyor who then in discussion with my next door neighbour’s surveyor decided that I had no jurisdiction over the adjoining wall and that I had to ask permission to build on top of the original wall or build up to which would require a section 1 report. I received an initial e-mail about the construction of my wall under the guidance of the Section 1, which I responded to. After not hearing anything for 3 weeks the neighbours surveyor contacted me to find out what was going on as he had not heard from Paramountbuilt, I followed this up and again I was met with a ‘wall of silence’.
In conclusion, I have never encountered such poor service from a so-called professional organisation. I also paid up front in good faith that my requests would be carried out in a timely and professional manner, this has not been the case. I am now engaging with the neighbour’s surveyor to conclude this matter at extra expense to myself, and from my communications with him he has been far more informative than Paramountbuilt who have never properly understood my needs but were extremely keen to take my money.

Services was good and friendly. Miss Kriti Patel was friendly and helpful.
I recommend this company for future needs.

Although we were impressed with a professional invoice including a breakdown of everything we would receive as part of the survey and they turned up early - our experience went down hill from there.

The surveyor who turned up was unprofessional as he didn’t have the equipment required to gain access and he had his friend napping in the car. Although his friend helped him get into the loft, his breakdown of what was seen wasn’t clear.

He then proceeded to request an online review and questioned my rating (which made me feel like a poor rating would lead to a poor survey)

It then took over two weeks to arrive - after numerous calls to their customer service with no explanation as to why it was late.

And to top it all off, our further survey revealed far greater problems than were stated in the report, so it clearly wasn’t throrough

Scammers. They not structural engineers at all.
Be aware.

This is my 2nd experience team is knowledgeable and professional Snagging survey complete within 1 week.

An update on my experience with paramount built. It is now the 19th September and I am still waiting for my refund, I received half my refund on the 21st August, after querying this I was told the company had incurred costs and therefore were only willing to give me half my money back. This is despite on the 7th July being told I would receive a full refund. I have since phoned and emailed every week for an update, where I have been told ‘the manager is unavailable’, ‘the accounts team are looking into this’. I am also told I would be given an update or the money will be In my account shortly and to keep an eye out, nothing of which has happened.
It has been now 3 months or constant querying for my promised refund at this point I would expect compensation for the poor experience I have received.
I have been asked to not put up a review as it affects performance, I think it’s only fair that people understand what company they are working with - avoid, avoid, avoid!

Summit carried out a snagging survey and property condition survey before our handover. His structural report gave us leverage with the builder, who agreed to fix the problems before final payment. That inspection saved us money and hassle.

I have been contacted by ParamountBuilt who sent an updated structural certificate report addressing my concerns. I have therefore amended my rating.

If I could give less than 1 start, I would have. PLEASE AVOID. I received below par report that does not even cover the basics for a simple wall removal assessment. The report does not detail any structural reasoning behind the assessment, does not contain a clear reliance wording, signed by an 'engineer' whose name cannot be found on any of the registers, failed to provide a membership or registration nbr and ZERO communication. I sent several email and followed up with phone calls to no avail.

This company is conning people, We have used their services and after chasing them for days finally provided a report which has wrong adress on the report, can you imagine that and have failed to rectify to this day and send the report with right adress .
But more importantly they said to be Acredited before paying for their services but are not able to provide proof of Accreditation certificate and we've paid for something that is useless because it can not be provided to the Mortgage Provider.

I will never trust again any company that does not show all the standards from before commencing exchanges of any sorts of talks.

And lastly they are not what they pretend to be,belive me you would have a second thinking after finding out !

The company were very quick to respond and send out a structural engineer. They charged more than other companies, but given our messages, I was under the opinion they would deal with any party wall application required and so I proceeded with Paramount.

When the plans were returned to me, they were incorrect and not what I had specified. I provided a mock-up drawing as to what I had initially requested and they reviewed their work, but they have still not done it to spec.

The party wall application is “out of spec”, despite it being suggested initially that it would be included.

I wish I’d gone with another company. Paramount have been slow, more expensive and ultimately not delivered.

It’s holding up my whole project as a result.

After contacting the team, they managed to book the structural engineer very quickly. Following the assessment, the report was sent to me within the agreed timeline. Excellent communication and prompt service throughout. Thank you, Kriti Patel and the team at ParamountBuilt!
