Excellent Malaysian customer service

Excellent Malaysian customer service. Assistance provided by Isabelle via Whatsapp make me feel like at kampung :) helpful recommendations of kuih lapis sarawak intended as gifts for local British friends. Items ordered were posted out soonest as they restocked.

Got laksa pes too! Looks like they have quite big range of products. Will definitely consider purchasing from Pasar Mart UK again :)

Absolutely 5 star customer services. I’ve ordered some items and unfortunately it’s gone missing by Royal Mail,
I contacted Pasar mart and they sent me again immediately with a small gift, but thank you James and Ivan for your great effort. I will definitely order again.

They are slow!

The customer service is awful. They messed up my order, but it took ages for them to respond, and I still haven’t received my refund. The whole experience felt like a scam, and I definitely would not recommend ordering anything from them.

They finally refunded me one order after two weeks and sent the other order to me while I don't need it anymore. The person said they were on a holiday leave so they couldn't reply me. However, if customer messages go unanswered simply because a staff member is on leave, that reflects a lack of responsibility in their customer support process. They should hire more people or the manager should find a way to cover the works when a staff are off. This problem still deserves a 1-star review of weak management of this company.

The company response underneath tried to gaslight the whole thing to make it sounds like my faults. The truth is, I messaged them on WhatsApp about the wrong order, and their staff replied that they would cancel the order on 10/2/2026. However, they still dispatched the order on 13/2/2026, which is entirely their management problem.

Both orders were placed on 10/2/2026, but they sent out the wrong one and didn’t send the correct one until two weeks later. It’s clear that they messed this up. What’s worse is that they tried to flag this review to have it taken down instead of admitting their mistake. They probably have so many good reviews because they try to take down negative ones.

I had to show Trustpilot the chat history to prove that this is a valid review.

We acknowledge your review and we’re sorry this experience did not meet expectations.

To be clear, we have never said this situation was your fault. We have accepted responsibility for resolving it, and we did so by taking action rather than arguing. We also gave you every opportunity to speak with us privately and reach a resolution before replying publicly, so please read our response carefully.

To clarify the full sequence of events, you initially placed a £10 order to the wrong address, which we still dispatched. You then placed a second order to the correct address, which was also sent, but that parcel did not arrive due to Royal Mail delays during the Chinese New Year peak period.

During CNY we processed over 11,000 orders. Across this platform and our other sales channels, the vast majority of customers received their orders and shared positive experiences, which do not reflect the experience you are describing here. This also appears to be your only review on Trustpilot, and it was clear you were intent on leaving negative feedback across multiple platforms while being concerned about receiving the £10 refund. Flagging a review for moderation is a standard Trustpilot process and does not automatically remove reviews. Trustpilot is also not a live chat platform and should not be treated as one once an issue has already been resolved.

However, the main point is this: calling a business a “scam” is a very serious allegation. You may not be satisfied with the service, and we accept criticism of our response times during peak periods, but we strongly reject false accusations. That is why we are replying with the full picture.

At the same time, one of our customer service staff was unexpectedly hospitalised, not on holiday leave as stated. This was outside of our control and did impact response times during an extremely high-volume period.

The refund for the affected order has been completed, and an additional parcel was sent in good faith before Royal Mail confirmed the loss. We did everything possible to resolve your issue, despite the operational pressures during CNY.

We also want to be transparent that we have no intention of removing genuine negative reviews, which is why you will occasionally see two or three critical reviews among thousands of positive ones. Constructive feedback is welcome. False claims calling us a scam are not.

We accept the criticism regarding coverage and management during peak periods and have taken this feedback onboard. As a business aiming to be the best Malaysian food company in the UK, we are grateful to the many customers who have supported us and helped us grow to where we are today.

We will continue striving to ensure every customer receives the best service possible, no matter how tough it gets on our end. For transparency, customers are welcome to see our packing process and the team behind it on our social media channels.

amazing service & so helpful

the team was incredibly helpful and responsive. my parcel was quite urgent and they managed to arrange everything quickly. amazing service and such a caring team. thank you again for going the extra mile, truly appreciated, especially during the festive season! they also have such a good variety of malaysian snacks and groceries, which makes it extra special for those of us who are far from home. it honestly feels like a little taste of home in the uk 🥹🇲🇾

Great customer service. Sent a replacement when my first order was lost in the post and Clifford kept in touch and kept me up to date. Highly recommend Pasar Mart!

Very good customer service and prompt…

Very good customer service and prompt response. And I love the Malaysian pastes like rojak paste. My friend likes the Oriental kopi powder and kaya. Hope they will get more products from Oriental like kopi powder in durian flavor🤭

Excellent product quality and customer service!

Quality of food stuff I bought from them was excellent and so was the service! I experienced some problems with delivery, but their customer service sorted things out for me and even arranged a prompt replacement! Am very thankful and grateful for their swift action and kind understanding!

Quick response …

I noticed that my order had not arrived in time for Christmas, so I contacted the company via text message. They responded promptly and arranged a replacement order with 24-hour tracked delivery, allowing me to receive it in time. I was very pleased with the quick response and excellent after-sales service. I would happily shop with them again.

Quick service and responsive

Great servic. Slight issue with order (can be expected during busy periods like Christmas) but seller was responsive and was resolved quickly.
