⚠️ WARNING TO BUSINESS CLIENTS
⚠️ WARNING TO BUSINESS CLIENTS – OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PAYTECH
We would like to make other businesses and prospective clients aware of our experience with PayTech.
A substantial amount of our company’s funds connected to a transaction processed through PayTech and/or the payment infrastructure involved remains unresolved and has not been returned to us.
Despite repeated requests for clarification, we have, in our view, not yet received sufficient documentary evidence or a clear and verifiable explanation establishing the current status of the funds, the precise payment or custody chain, the legal basis for any continued withholding of the funds, and a binding timeframe for their release or return.
Of particular concern to us is that, during the course of this matter, different explanations have been provided regarding payment providers, infrastructure or processing issues, and other parties allegedly involved in the transaction.
For a business dealing with substantial sums, we consider it essential that it can be clearly documented where funds are located, which regulated or contractual entity is responsible for them, why they cannot currently be released, and when they will be returned.
For the avoidance of doubt, we are not alleging that PayTech or any individual involved has committed fraud or any other criminal offence. This review describes our own experience and the circumstances as they currently stand.
Given the amount involved and the lack of satisfactory resolution to date, we have decided to have the matter reviewed from both a legal and regulatory perspective and to preserve all correspondence, transaction records and supporting documentation.
Our recommendation to other business clients: Before transferring substantial amounts, obtain written confirmation of the complete payment chain, the regulated entities involved, safeguarding or custody arrangements, any reserve requirements, and the conditions and timeframes governing withdrawals and refunds.
Until our funds are returned or we receive a complete and independently verifiable explanation resolving the matter, we cannot recommend using this service for substantial business transactions.
Should PayTech fully clarify and resolve the matter, we will update this review accordingly.
