Turned out my ip was leaked, turned on my vpn and the location changed, so they try to trick you by "removing it" with a subscription...

Basically feel a waste of time and money. Decided after just a few weeks that nothing actually was deleted from the most basic name searching on the web.

First of all, let me say the positive. The service seems to work very well for finding data leaks. When you purchase a subscription, you can, among other things, do a dark web search which did provide revealing results in my case.
However, regarding the supposed data removals, the company's FAQ promise that you’ll start seeing results "in weeks if not days" and mentions a 45-day legal response window for brokers. After more than 57 days, I’ve seen zero visible progress in my control panel, and the projected timeline disappeared. When I raised this contradiction, support stated timelines are "definitely measured in months, not days," directly conflicting with the FAQ (which I noted as potentially false advertising). Furthermore, when I asked about the 45-day legal limit for broker the response was a generic, unhelpful assertion: "we are at the hands of the data brokers."
To be clear, I was aware from the start of the potential timeframe for removing the 403 exposed records that were found. I knew that the whole process would take months and I was also aware that it would not be 100% effective. However, my disappointment and complaint centers on the lack of any progress whatsoever after almost 2 months and also the lack of information. Potential customers should be aware that the information provided on the Pentester website is, at the very least, deceitful.

Nothing actually happened?

It told me everything that I actually already know. And no removals happened? No changes happened?

Told me where all my info was but did nothing?

Website is easy to navigate and the dashboard was easy to read. I do not like the auto data removal. I signed up specifically for this service. It identified several hunderd data sharing sites, but only a few removals were completed each month. After a year of having the service there are still several hundred data sharing sites where my information has not been removed. Cancelled, but was offered 1 month free. Taking the free month to see if removals improve.

I can't say enough about how great this service is. There are people out there who can destroy your digital footprint just to do it. This service is really one of kind to protect you things you might not even know are possible

Scam.

Ok so it does find various accounts you had in the past and currently have but it also finds hundreds of mysterious data brokers that have your info. To remove this it will take years according to them. This could be true or not, you'll never know. Then they say if you cancel all that data will be back within 3 months so they basically lock you into a plan where you continuously have to pay them forever if you want to keep your data private according to them. It's a scam, especially if you're not in the EU because only in the EU do they actually have to remove your data by law. Everywhere else they can just say no, something they conveniently leave out.

I'm so so so happy i signed up for this program. The professionalism and peace of mind I have is invaluable.

Found some reviews online with several companies - and decided to go Pentester.com. They "appear" to be doing something to scrub data - but I would get a lot of messages about "we found your data"...and no direction about what that means - or I'm supposed to "approve" or what the next step is. I emailed them over and over - looking for support and never got a reply. I then started searching around for their competition - and decided to go with Incogni. When I went to cancel - it did appear to cancel. 6 months later - I'm still getting billed. I have had to put a merchant block on the credit card charges. There is no customer service - there is no phone number. Pentester.com MIGHT be legitimate - but since the inception - every interaction with them has been a nightmare and this just reeks of SCAM ARTIST. And it's South Florida - so that's enough of a red flag. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS - at least until they get their stuff together. I used them for 90 days by the way - and have been fighting them for 5 months to get the charges to stop. It's a complete disaster on their end.

I've tried a few data removal services before, but Pentester.com is the only one that gave me real results. It quickly identified where my data was being sold and actually followed through on removals. The dashboard is straightforward, and I like being able to track the progress. Totally worth the subscription.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience using Pentester.com, and I feel compelled to share my frustration.

I subscribed to their service with the expectation that they would help me remove my personal data from numerous data brokers. However, after two months of using the service, only a small handful of my data have been removed from over 300 data brokers that hold my information. This is far from the effectiveness I was promised.

What’s even more concerning is the slow pace at which they handle these removals. It almost feels as though they are intentionally dragging out the process to keep users paying for a service that isn’t delivering real results. The idea that it could take months to remove data from just a few brokers is unacceptable, and it leaves me questioning the overall value of their service.

On top of all this, the monthly fee of $20 feels excessive, especially for the lack of meaningful progress. Given the limited impact of the service, it’s hard to justify continuing to pay that amount.

I’m now canceling my subscription, as I no longer believe this service provides adequate value or protection. I would advise others to carefully consider whether this service is truly worth the cost before signing up.

Spam calls significantly dropped after just a few months. Their customer service is far faster than their competitors

Signed up after watching Ryan Montgomery on Scammer Payback. At first, all seemed good and it did flag up past leaks including my data. However, after trying to log in after a couple of months, the website suddenly didn't work and would only let me in if I entered more data but I couldn't get past that because it already had my data. So I had been charged for several months where I was completely unable to access the website and cancel the subscription, so had to block payments via the bank.

Emailed asking them to my data from their site and I get an email telling me they've blacklisted me. A total scam.

Pentester.com was disappointing. It does detect data at brokers but struggles to remove them, saying it may take several months. Out of the 700 data brokers that were detected for me, and after 8 months of paying $20 each month, they only removed 93 successfully (according to them).

I have great concerns with Pentester. I was a member for almost a year, and only 30 data collections sites were immediately removed while 500 were in progress for the whole time. Not one after the initial 30 were removed. I would get warnings my IP address was leaked and I sent questions asking how did they know this and what does it mean. They refused to answer my questions which made very suspicious. I continue to send messages for days asking them to respond how they knew my IP was leaked? I only had my VPN off for 30 minutes and somehow they detected it. This is suspicious and tells me they are actively monitoring and remote viewing my PC. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! So, I did research and this company has an awful reputation, and is NOT to be trusted. I believe they sell your data to these brokers and they do suspicious and unethical penetration attacks on your PC were they get more private details which they sell. They have horrible attitudes and are rude and unprofessional. I sent an email confirming I was cancelling my account and they told me they were going to BLACKLIST my emails so I can longer use that email address. this is a dangerous group of tech bros and I am concerned for my data now. Do NOT make this mistake and stay away from them. Use Icogni instead. BUYERS BEWARE!!! I have all email communications if anyone doubts the veracity of my story including the owner threatening to have my email addresses Blacklisted. Is this someone you would trust??

This Company is a scam! The biggest red flag is there is no Customer Service and no way to get a hold of a human. I just tried to call their number and it said they are working on upgrading their phone system. Yeah, right! In the app, there is a message feature, but says it could take up to 12 hours to get a response. Completely unacceptable and shady. I ended up having to cancel my credit card to stop them from further charging me and somehow they were able to charge the same card even though it was a completely new card #. I have asked them to cancel my account thru their in app message feature since I couldn’t get a hold of them by phone, so we will see what happens. Please, stay away from any company that doesn’t provide adequate customer service. Also, once your information is on the dark web, there is no way for it to be removed. Trust me, after this experience with Pentester, I’ve done my research. Pentester Is giving people a false sense of security.

DO NOT USE

Their system is broken. The web interface doesn't work half the time. You cannot process anything. For a month it sat there doing nothing even though I submitted auto removal requests about 50 times. It just asks again after paghe reload. The support staff are not available. Came back to me after an entire day, just for me to find out that the chat was expired and inactive. WTF?!

There is no option to remove your information from their system. No account deletion.
