This company is a joke

This company is a joke, I had an appointment last Thursday and I was due to start a course today. They promised I receive train tickets and details of where the course was being held on Friday. I had a Jobcentre appointment on the Friday and explained it all to the advisor who said it was her job too chase them up and I left it in her hands. It’s now Monday and at 9.19 this morning I received an email to get me to Cardiff but no other information. Shocking company

Me vs PeoplePlus

I was bullied from the very beginning, your member of staff was dismissed as a result. I was then passed from staff to staff going in circles achieving nothing. My complaint was ultimately dealt like so after a total 8 escalations, from local staff to manager to regional manager to national manager:

''As explained in my previous email, a full and fair investigation into every element of your complaint was conducted and we found no evidence to uphold your complaint. You have not provided any further/new information, nor have you specified which findings are not accepted, and clearly state the reasons why. As stated previously, in the absence of any new information, we deem this complaint to be closed and no further action required.

Divisional Managing Director for Employability''

After one year and 3 months worth of escalating my complaint and you PeoplePlus, and in particular the Divisional Managing Director for Employability, who consistently tried to brush me under the carpet - the Independent Case Examiner has established your liability on several counts.

Just received your signed letter of apology Sal, it's always best served cold. 1 year and 3 months cold, cheerio.

I've read most of the reviews

I've read most of the reviews, and personally, I cannot agree. I've been attending PeoplePlus in Flint for the past 3 weeks. During that time, they found me a job that I desperately needed, paid for all my expenses, and funded all the necessary job equipment and a bike. The staff are very pleasant. I was 35 minutes late to the appointment due to transport issues, and they didn't cancel. We just continued, and everything went as if it had never happened. Very easy to communicate with the staff outside of office through SMS messages. Great experience.

I attended a sector based work academy…

I attended a sector based work academy in conjunction with Nottinghamshire Police for the police fire service call centre based in sherwood lodge. The course content and delivery was fantastic however there was no after course support from People Plus Nottingham as the office closed down. The intial interview from the Police careers officer was great but I was hoping for mentoring support with my application from People Plus.

Worse than ZERO Stars

This company does not deserve any stars at all.
Stay away from it.
It's inefficient, it's online systems are incomprehensible.
Nothing loads onto 'JotForms' or 'Portals'. There are no empowered beings answering any queries on the phone: you will be put on hold while they "reach out to other members of hidden teams who might if you are lucky "reach out " to you later via a withheld or personal number. No-one knows even who their Manging Director is or how to contact them. If you want to complain you can send an online comlaint which will doubtless remain unanswered. Your PA's will remain unpaid since you have no instructions as to how to use the Online Payroll system. Codes are randomly created and randomly fail to upload into Jotform boxes. Its a shambles. Disgusting.

Appalling company, avoid at all costs!

I have been having to attend mandatory appointments with PeoplePlus in Maidstone for the past few weeks as a condition of my Universal Credit claim as I look for employment.

The job coach I was assigned was deeply unprofessional, aggressive and hostile towards me, and towards my manager at the charity I volunteer at, to whom she made a harassing phone call today. She made false accusations against me, and was aggressively rude when I spoke to her. It is very clear that this company’s employees are motivated purely by their own personal gain and NOT by the interests of the people they’re supposed to be supporting.

Avoid PeoplePlus at all costs, I am deeply concerned and disturbed that the DWP have partnered with this incompetent and unprofessional company.

If I could rate lower I would.
I was signed up to them via the job center and after my very first appointment, it was a disaster!
They had personal client information just thrown into a bin near their building, not shredded and had it blown out across the streets!
They had no private rooms for first time users, or those that had mental health issues like myself.
After the first appointment and telling the Job center that they weren't for me, they kept calling and emailing me wanting me to turn up to appointments that I cancelled months ago!
And still now, after a year they still have my information!
Avoid at all costs!!

Bullies

So after receiving a letter from a gentleman named Scott Meyrick (Cwmbran office) who was most helpful and understood my situation -
asking if I would like to continue working with them.. I responded saying I would give it some thought.

Behold my amazement being contacted by a Robbie Sinclair who has instructed me an appointment was made on a certain day and time.
How extraordinary.

Clearly some ego-manical people running this scheme.
Avoid contact if possible.

This company is absolutely shocking

This company is absolutely shocking. I started working as a PA in January, it’s now August and they haven’t paid me a penny yet. They are lying and saying they are paying me and I can’t get through to anyone to discuss it. Absolutely awful company. Avoid if at all possible.

I was kicked off for being ill one day

I went for SIA they made me do almost 3 weeks of custom service before I could even get on to SIA, then when I got on it was all we was doing is taking photos all day and the tour was late many times and one the days he told us to miss the day so he could have it off, I went every day but I was Ill so I missed a day which was supposed to be the work we did on the day he wanted off for his long weekend, I went in the next day still ill but thinking I’m going to get this finished with 2 days left and the reception staff told me I’m kicked off the course in front of Other people I found it very disrespectful and rude especially the fact because they told the full class the day before while I was I’ll and didn’t tell me and the teacher didn’t even bother to tell me in person he had someone do it for him.

A failing service

Was advised to get a DBS for one of my son’s PAs via this organisation. They asked me to send the same information to them thee times - they didn’t do anything with it. I raised a formal complaint - I got a surly unprofessional response. Avoid at all costs.

I have to choose my words carefully to give peopleplus a fair representation during my two years there of late.

Pros:

Easy hiring process.
Directors of employability friendly, approachable and truly understand the role on a delivery level as an EA Fantastic people. Shout out to Sally Bond and Michelle Taylor. Amazing and talented!

4 day working week! Yippee! Loved it! Thank you people plus.

Fantastic Employment Advisors (some as hiring was quite desperate late on during the Restart Scheme they literally hired anyone who can send and email - just being honest!!), truly incredible though on a delivery level, so many great colleagues.

Cons:

Head of Delivery - Louise Walkington. Dictator, out of touch and only cares about her own career. Leadership is not inspiring as she only cares for the people who hit “their number”. All managers below her live in her pocket do what she says, quite sad to say the least.
In all honesty I have worked in sales,recruitment & business development at a high level - enterprise level . Their standard was poor operational and very unprofessional. She hires her “freinds”.

Operations - Majority inexperienced, want to do as little as possible as they dream of being an OM so it means less work and teams meetings. Maidstone operations manager was at the sun bed, shopping or buying her new car. Never on the delivery floor always tucked away in her phone in the office. Well done Gabriella Alpe.

Promotion non existent unless you’re in the so called “Click”.

Internal Courses don’t lead to anything accredited so why bother. Just being honest.

How people plus were awarded to be part of the Restart Scheme baffles me, they only care about the bottom line not the participant. Each participant is a number which makes money and their service is not changing lives but always financially driven. “Another course” “Another online learning portal”! Please… give it a rest.

Quality of staff is poor due to high turn over. Why you may ask? Career progression is minimal and is only by who you know basis.

Recap:
I genuinely took a step down to work in this industry and make a difference and I did!! The only sad point was that the management above me, and operations were so uninspiring how can you follow leaders like that.

Peopleplus look good on paper, great on LinkedIn. But ultimately from the operations down you have people in management who don’t care about the customer only the bottom line.

Great good luck to you if you have read this on your next career move. Choose it wisely.

Absolute Garbage!
Disorganised chaos, full of broken promises.
Signed on to do SIA course, the only way you could do this was to do either CSCS or Customer Services course 1st, I opted for CSCS (even though I've previously had it, and it's only £25 or so test), this cost me over 2 weeks of my life, costing me FAR more money then if I just went and sat the test, but I was willing to put up with this to do the SIA course.
Well, the course finished (on 24th May - today is 6th June) and I'm still waiting on my 'voucher' to go and sit the CSCS test, not heard anything about the SIA course.
'All expenses will be covered' - upto £20 travel (a weeks bus ticket is £21) and upto £3.50 per day meal with receipt - good luck with that in city centre, and then, trying to get those expenses was like trying to get blood from a stone, so you just end up out of pocket by a shed load.

Incompetent is an understatement,I am still owed my payment from May 2023.Very stressful situation, Owe my Landlord now three weeks rent.Sat on phone for three hours today , finally got through ask for payroll only to be told by the person , you need to go back to option 1.... please stay away from this company is dreadful will start a facebook group complains about peopleplus and will complain to MP ..Is ridiculous the treatment people get looking at complains on here .

Completely incompetant. Don't reply to emails. Adviser had no knowledge, requests ignored, documents not attached, formal complaint ignored, at all costs don't go near them, look for another service, such as Independent Living Alternatives.

Are people still not been paid

Are people still having the same issues with people plus, i.e not getting paid on time and going through the same process as others have. It is very stressful times and cost of living has gone up and people not getting on time has add to it.

I am really disappointed with the service.

I have no issues with People Plus has an Organisation.

A few staff within the organisation have no self awareness on how they treat people, they don’t respond back to emails regarding queries and follow up, have to wait 40 minutes or more and it is frustrating and get get cut off, which adds to it.

Staff within the organisation work under the umbrella of People Plus and represent them as a organisation and not to give them a bad name. I am aware that they have staff training and also they have a mission statement.

The board of directors should step in and find out what’s going, why people are complaining and not being listened to their concerns.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Terrible company. Many many mistakes & not even a sorry. Causing me a disabled lady no end of stress & doing half the job myself! Can’t speak to anyone to help! I’m changing companies, had enough now!
