Our founder, William V. Pernik, began his career as a public defender in Tulare County and Monterey County. That experience shaped his understanding of the justice system at its deepest level. He saw how overwhelming criminal charges can be for people who never expected to find themselves in handcuffs, interrogation rooms, or courtrooms. He learned that behind every case file is a real human being trying to navigate one of the most frightening moments of their life.
Today, that foundation guides everything our firm does.

My name is Annia Raysberg, and I am a psychotherapist (LMFT) in private practice in California. Over the course of many years, I have worked directly with dozens—if not hundreds—of clients represented by William Pernik.

I have known William and Roland for some time, but it was not until a family member of mine needed legal help, they were the ones I trusted his life with. The incident occurred in 2021. Roland immediately got on it and he was there from the beginning. The whole process took over three years, which were full of emotions, and the “what ifs”. During the jury trial, Roland’s advocacy and line of questioning was phenomenal. Roland never gave up on this case, he worked very hard. Finally in 2024, he obtained a favorable result. Thank you William and Roland for your zealous advocacy. If it wasn’t for your efforts he would be serving many many years, rather than coming home next year!
