CBT - Just passed my CBT with Phoenix at Crystal Palace - the whole day was informative, intensive and constructive - my instructor Peter was completely professional and really put me through my paces to make sure that I was completely aware of my surroundings and able to become a more competent and safe rider in the future - so highly recommended!

Recently completed my CBT after a handful of pre CBT lessons with Phoenix. I'm returning to riding after a break of many years and Phoenix really got me back into shape and ready for the CBT. Excellent instruction and critique from Mark, Nick & Sam. All aspects of riding covered from the basics through to next steps. I'll be back soon for the Beyond CBT course and once I've settled in and got some experience behind me, I'm planning a try-a-ride on the larger bikes and hopefully full licence training. A great experience. Can't recommend Phoenix enough. Many thanks.

very good instructors taught me from scratch

This was my first time ever riding a motorcycle and I had so much fun. My instructor, Nic, was great. He took his time, went through everything and ensured that I knew what was required & needed doing. The facilities were great, kit provided and the bikes were decent. Cant wait to get back and do my Mod 1 & Mod 2

Very satisfied with the training I received

A great Motorcycle School, Phoenix Motorcycle Training is the best. I did all of my modules and training with them from November 16th 2024 all the way to March 13th 2025, from the CBT to which I passed, to the theory test, which I booked on my own and I passed first time, to the module one, which I passed first time and to my module two, which I passed first time.

I am really thankful to them, for helping me from the beginning, guiding me, helping me and giving me advice with all of the training that I received from the CBT to all the way to the module two.

I am thankful I found them and I only went to Phoenix Motorcycle Training.

Very good experience from start to finish and very helpful and experienced instructors

At first I was anxious and felt like I'm in a shell, but later I discovered that Marc and John are so generous and want the best out of all those undertaking the training. I was missing out something on lifesavers during simulated turns and also the techniques behind emergency stops, and John was so patience with me and ran me through bit by bit till I got it right - thanks John. Marc gave us the confidence to do the last exercise on the road after taking us through element D and his jokes and comments on the road kept us going despite our shortcomings- cheers Marc.

Observations;
At all times, you'll receive slow learners due to stress or times of the day or just some other reasons. Continue being truthful and patient like I saw it.

Improvements;
It would be great if a clear guide is given to learners on the elements of CBT and if possible provide leaflets or booklets or PowerPoint presentations.

I had 4 different instructors over duration of my course. Really enjoyed the varied approach which helped with my learning. Administration was very flexible and helpful as well. Highly recommended

Passed MOD 1 and MOD 2 first time with Phoenix (no prior road experience). I had excellent teachers at Crystal Palace and Sidcup locations who were patient and explained things really well which was important to me as a female rider who had a bad experience with another school. Booking sessions is also easy and the office is responsive.

When I went to Phoenix, Crystal Palace - and most importantly, when I met my wonderful instructor, Darren - I was very very fortunate. I had come from a different training school, where I had had a very different experience with my Mod 1. So negative, that when I arrived at Phoenix, I felt quite broken. I had no confidence at all, felt little hope in my capability to pass Mod 1 (and indeed, the full licence) and - though I was determined - I felt completely hopeless. Darren changed all that. He was patient, adaptable to what I needed and knew how best to build up my confidence and my skills and most of all, gave me the belief that yes, I could do this. He was without doubt, the best instructor I could ever have had. And I would not have got where I did, without him. No doubt about that. Darren is not only a superb instructor, he is also a teacher. And there is a big and significant difference with that. It’s been a bumpy ride, but finally, I got there and achieved Mod 1. And eventually Mod 2. I now have the full licence and my dream big bike. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind, that I would not have achieved any of this, without the teaching, guidance and patience of the wonderful Darren at Phoenix. An unbelievable instructor. I simply cannot thank him enough.

As a 60yr young returning to biking after 30 years the back to biking lesson was just what I needed, good sound no nonsense advise delivered in a down to earth manner by Darren. Would recommend to anyone returning to biking after a long time.

Great instructors - Worth the money

The instructors are very good making us to learn and giving more time excellent practice and over all good i recommend it

In 2023 I had a bad accident, with an SUV knocking me off my NC750 on my way to work. Life changing injuries, 4 months in hospital, 15 major surgeries - basically a long road to recovery... so for the 2nd anniversary of the accident, I booked a "back to biking" course with Phoenix.

I was a little anxious, very curious to see if I could still competently (and safely) ride.

Helen on the booking call was patient, helpful and understanding. Steve, my instructor for the day, was excellent from start and throughout. A real champion.

I am eternally grateful to the whole team, for helping me to rebuild my knocked confidence, whilst proving a point to myself that even with the injuries I have, the journey on 2 wheels isn't over.
If anything, this course, this company, have helped me to get back to one of my favourite things that I wasn't sure if I could ever do again. Yes, there was a bit of a hump in the road, a slight detour, however with the right help, I'm heading in the correct direction once more - feet up on the pegs, visor down.
