Absolute GARBAGE. It's so weird to use, Layers randomly lock without a coherent way to UNLOCK it, and all the Presets are just... weird. It's so hard to use, performance sucks and often freezes my screen (I have a very good PC).

i cant even properly add a text for my youtube thumbnail without the entire thing just starting to randomly spam text boxes and end up deleting and freezing my entire screen, i can't even ctrl z to get my stuff back

What a piece of crap! It may be free, but it is slow and will more likely than not, crash before you are finished. Don’t waste your time with this garbage app.

I have been using photopea for 5+ years and it was great, but recently it has started to become an incredibly slow, laggy, stuttering mess which slows my entire computer and causes my web browser to crash every single dam time i open it. I tried 6 different web browsers, i have tried to download the app, uninstall the app, clear caches, restart my computer, use it on another account, tried going incognito on several browsers, removing all extensions, enabling and disabling hardware acceleration, turning of efficeny mode and absolutely nothing.
I have loved this free editing software, i have made thousands of projects using it and was currently working on a pretty big project when it became an utter piece of shlt. Even just trying to crop a single image on it's own is fruitless.
I seriously hope the developer gets their shlt together and actually fixes this, it's just unacceptable.

Edit: For the past ONE HOUR AND A HALF I have patiently been trying to pay for the subscription to see if maybe it's the ads that's causing the issues so i could recover my project that I've been working on for the past 2 weeks. But even that has shown to be an almost impossible task since it keeps crashing before i can even get to the payment options. I am done, i would rather start over on my project and lose 2 weeks of work then give these developers a single cent. Dont waste your time.

A free alternative to Photoshop. I own an old copy of Photoshop and find Photopea much better!

This is by far the best Photoshp alternative I have tried since loosing the ability to buy a Photoshop program. V
I easily was able to use Photopea and answers to questions came right up and were easy to follow. Love it!

Terrible app. The ads slow down your computer, causing it to freeze when loading up new ads. If you choose to watch an ad for premium features it will become stuck on your screen with no way to remove it, so you have to refresh and lose all your progress. Kind of an obvious money grab. Just buy photoshop or use another editor. They bloat their own reviews with bots to make it seem good.

Tenés que adivinar dónde están las cosas, hay herramientas terribles que nunca se explica que hacen y tampoco tienen sentido. Claro con guías externas no deberías tener problemas pero un sitio web tiene que funcionar por su cuenta y este no lo hace

Fantastico. Per chi non può o non vuole usare Photoshop è la migliore alternativa (e gratuita!!) possibile. Ha quasi le stesse funzionalità e usa anche gli stessi menù e stessi shortcut. Unico difetto (molto veniale al giorno d'oggi) è che essendo un programma web bisogna avere una buona connessione per lavorare fluidamente, inoltre rallenta un po' con immaggini troppo pesanti. Ha anche una app scaricabile e installabile, ma si collega sempre tramite edge.
Anche Adobe ha una versione di PS funzionante su web, ma è penosamente ridicola rispetto a PhotoPea.
Dimenticavo, si possono usare anche i riempimenti generativi da IA.

Lo sto usando da una settimana, al posto di Canva che decisamente più blasonato ma non altrettanto utile!
Photopea non è semplicissimo e a volte mi fa sclerare con le vecchie versioni o a trovare delle funzioni (ne ha veramente tante, ci vorrebbe tutor online o manuale).. però è gratuito e fa davvero tutto! Spettacolo, penso mi abbonerò visto che il costo è decisamente ONESTO a differenza dei competitor, 5€ al mese.

UI sucks, most tools don't work as intended, intrusive ads, and on top of that, it's very slow and would probably lag your device.

Just use Inkscape or anything else at this point, I would NEVER recommend using Photopea to anybody.

TERRIBLE NOTHING WORKS AND IS COSTING ME MY GCSE

By god this is the most abysmal paint software on planet earth 3rd world maxxing slop cannot believe anyone has been plagued with touching this slop before

The overall site is good...It has lots of tools, and it really helps improve my work and grades. We use this site a lot in photography class, so I use it much more than I'd like to, and that's because this site is very, very slow. I've never experienced a site that lags and freezes this much, and it's so bad that the site keeps reloading, or I'd just see a blank screen and have to reload it, and I haven't even finished the project I was doing! I literally raged about 10 times because of this and so I had to save the project but I had to redo the steps that I'd left off at when I saved it every time this happens because sometimes I don't have the time to save the project before it reloads and/or pauses/lags so at this point I'm considering just submitting the project(s) as it is...finished or not because this is just ridiculous!! So I do not recommend anyone to use this site. If anyone sees this before they try to get the site or use it, I recommend you not use it because it may look great, but looks can be deceiving...other than that, it's honestly a great site. If only the lagging, pausing, and reloading would stop; If only they'd fix that, they'd be good. I promise you, they'd have way more four and five-star reviews!! This is ridiculous!

no jala, no sirve, así de simple >:(, se me descompone la computadora a cada rato o se me bloquea la pantalla y los controles. Para hacer mis proyectos escolares tuve que descargármela a fuerzas porque en línea no funcionaba y me ocupa mucho espacio en la nube, para guardar mis proyectos los tengo que guardar en un archivo pero ya completados porque Photopea pedorro no me puede guardar más de un proyecto.
En resumidas cuentas te odio Photopeaaaa
