Archie started talking himself out within a couple of days, he loves it!
Piddle Patch has been awesome for our very new London puppy. Our cocker spaniel, Archie, started talking himself out to his patch within a couple of days, he loves it!!
And even though I thought the old patch was still in tip-top shape, the subscription replacement patch arrived and it totally outshone the old one.
Thank you Piddle Patch for making the potty training phase so seamless, especially during this time before his second vaccine!

It's a great idea in principle
It's the worst thing to clean if your puppy has a stomach upset or something which goes on for a few days (and it does). The patch needs to be super clean otherwise it attracts flies etc. When you live in an apartment it's unlikely to have access to a horse to wash the patch - so it's all scrubbing with a water spray bottle. A puppy has a small bladder so, likely to go 4-5 times (that's how many times it needs to be cleaned). Also, way too expensive for what it is - not worth it. I binned mine and had to go onto puppy pads unfortunately, because it's easier to fold and throw in the rubbish.

Urine drains naturally from the surface so you do not need to clean your grass, however solid waste must be removed and disposed of.
In the case of diarrhoea and runny poops, there are a few things you can do:
You can wait for it to dry and remove it from the grass, then spritz down the area and dab it with paper towels to remove any remaining poop.
The second way is to clean the grass while it is wet by lifting the poop up in an upwards motion (not side to side) and alternating the clean up with dry and wet kitchen roll.
You can also rinse the Piddle Patch grass but it's best to turn the grass on its side so the water runs off of the grass instead of into it.

Recommend if your dog takes to it well!
The overall feeling I got from the company was very warm and friendly. However, even after following through with the tips, my dog didn't take to the patch at all. Additionally, the delivery dates were a bit too limiting for our needs and was delivered soaking wet (while not the company's fault was still disappointing).

Box wasn't in one piece again and the grass was cut too large for my tray I purchased from you again. It's very inconsistent.

We are sorry to hear that your Piddle Patch was a little larger than expected. As mentioned via email, from time to time, the Piddle Patch can get jostled during transit.
There is no need to cut your Piddle Patch grass to fix it. The grass is the right size and can simply be pushed back into the tray with your fingers. It fits snugly so that it doesn't move around when in use by your dog. It's also a resilient product so pushing it in won't harm the grass in any way.
We do our best to ensure that each Piddle Patch is a consistent size, but as it is a living product and is cut by hand, there can be some fluctuations to this. The water content of your Piddle Patch can also cause an impact on the size of your grass.
There is a certain amount of water content in the grass, which ensures that the product that makes it to you is fresh, strong, and healthy. We ask for the courier to lay the box flat so that the risk of water leaking out of the sides and damaging the box is decreased. Unfortunately, sometimes the courier can be a little rough with it in transit, which can compromise the packaging. Whilst the box may have been a little damaged, the grass is almost never impacted as the actual product inside is robust.
With all Piddle Patch deliveries, you should take the grass out of the box and place it into a tray for usage. It’s important to note that the box is for transit purposes only and is not a replacement for putting the grass into a tray.
We are working hard to ensure that this does not happen again. We are sorry for any inconvenience or upset caused.

Can’t fault the Piddle Patch product…
Can’t fault the Piddle Patch product and team! We have had a weekly delivery for the last two years which has give our dogs the freedom of a ‘balcony toilet’ for those late night toilet breaks (and also saved us from the occasional bad stomach episodes which could have been disastrous in an apartment).
Any time we have had to postpone/reschedule a delivery due to being away, Sarah has always been quick to respond to my emails and amend delivery dates.
We are having to cancel our subscription since we are moving overseas, but I truly can’t thank the amazing Piddle Patch team enough!

We absolutely loved our PiddlePatch!
We absolutely loved our PiddlePatch! It was instrumental in assisting with Poppy’s toilet training, being able to have it in the house and slowly transitioning to the garden made it a seamless change. All with the added benefit of not having unsightly and unsustainable puppy pads. It was also easy to get Poppy to use grass as she’d been doing it from such a young age, it seemed natural.

Great service and communication
Great service and communication, easy to change subscription as needed. Dogs used the grass consistently and my cats loved to lie on them and snack on the grass, I use separate patches for each.

I used to really love this company but…
I used to really love this company but the quality has gone downhill the last few months. I’ve had grass covered in insects delivered and the box is constantly delivered opened and battered looking. I’m now trying to see if I can find an alternative company for this type of product.

The piddle patch is a game changer for toilet training
The piddle patch has been absolutely key to us toilet training our new pup in a flat. It’s worked an absolute charm and taken all the stress out of having to do multiple trips in the lift and worrying about accidents on the way! It has also been so helpful when I’m working from home and have back to back meetings, I can just leave the balcony door open and the dog can come and go as he needs. I have had to amend my subscription a couple of times to change dates or frequency and the customer service has always been really prompt and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

A brilliant solution for a need many people overlook
PiddlePatch is a brilliant solution for dog owners without access to a garden. It gave me real peace of mind knowing my dog could relieve herself before bed without the need for a late-night walk. As a young woman, avoiding the street at night is important to me, and this product made that possible. For around £30 a month, it’s a small price to pay for the comfort, safety, and convenience it provides—especially for a need many people might overlook. Furthermore the customer service was responsive and more than helpful. 100% recommend.

Died in days
Unfortunately, even when following the misting instructions, the grass died within three days! If you live in a shady flat with a balcony it’s probably worth it, but if you have a garden like us and are trying to provide real grass next to the astroturf, not worth it.

Haven’t received my delivery since 20th June
Really disappointed with the service I have paid for. I ordered a patch for my now 9 week old puppy to be delivered on 20th June, this delivery did not turn up and even though I was able to speak to the delivery company DPD they said it would then be delivered on 21st by 12pm. Again this delivery did not arrive. I was then told this would arrive on 23rd June but again did not turn up. I finally received the patch on 24th June but it was already dying off. Piddle patch kindly resent the patch for delivery 1st July but again this had not turned up and again I have no grass patch to toilet train my pup. It’s beyond a joke that this company has taken since 20th June to deliver an alive patch of grass. Puppy toilet training is already a stressful time and this company isn’t making it any easier
Update 3.07.25 - waited in for another day for the patch to be delivered only for it not to arrive and now Piddle Patch is ignoring my emails

We are really disappointed to read your review and particularly the update that you posted saying we had ignored your emails, when this is untrue.
We shipped your first order to you on your requested date, however, you delayed this order by 2 days. As DPD only have a certain capacity, they were not able to deliver your order to you on your requested redelivery date.
DPD then attempted to deliver your parcel and on this occasion tried to leave it with a neighbour, but they would not accept your parcel. Your parcel was then delivered to you the following day.
When your Piddle Patch did arrive, you were not happy with the quality. We explained that it had originally been delayed by yourself and advised that if you needed to delay your order in future, to reach out to us ahead of shipping to delay your Piddle Patch. Despite this, we then sent a replacement as a gesture of goodwill.
DPD were having trouble with delivering your replacement and we asked you to provide further instructions regarding your location and what to do if you were not home. Unfortunately, no further instructions were inputted at this time.
We then refunded your order. Following the refund, we can see that further instructions were inputted by you and this delivery was successful, meaning that you had two Piddle Patches delivered to you and no money was taken for either.
We were in contact with you throughout the process and can see that two emails were sent to you on the 2nd of July and three emails on the 3rd of July (the day you said that we were ignoring you). One of which was to notify you of the refund.
We work hard to ensure that any issues with deliveries are resolved in a timely manner, however, we also ask that customers help us with this process by providing the courier with information about their delivery preferences if the courier is having issues trying to deliver to them.
We are sorry that Piddle Patch was not the product for you on this occasion, and we wish you all the best with your toilet training journey.

I really wanted to love this
I really wanted to love this, I did a ton of research and when I picked up my puppy I signed up to a subscription. Unfortunately after 3-4 days the smell of ammonia became so overwhelming I had to throw it out. My puppy is small <2kg and I was surprised the grass patch didn’t even last a week. I also found a lot of bugs, so you might want to check the area around and underneath your grass patches if they are placed inside your home. Sadly this product was not for me, and even more disappointingly, the customer service experience was poor with no acknowledgement of the issues. The replies were patronising and robotic.

Unfortunately, as you informed us that you had thrown away the product before contacting us and hadn't taken any photos of your Piddle Patch, it was extremely difficult for us to investigate this further, as the product needs to be retained for a full investigation.
As a gesture of goodwill, we offered you a discount on your next Piddle Patch and an offer to return the tray for a refund. The refund was then actioned following the return of your tray.

And high quality grass patches. Both me and my dog loved it! Easy to use and a great option for pet owners living in an apartment.

Piddle Patch: A City Pet Owner’s Dream
I’ve been using Piddle Patch for my dog for 3 years, and it’s been an absolute lifesaver for city pet owners!

Wouldn't recommend this.
Customer service was great cant fault them. But this grass stuff for the price you could go b&q and buy some real grass and a tray for 15 pound , I was recommended to go here and regretted it badly . It didnt help my puppy I had more luck with puppy pads and the tray then this . It's way over priced and the box it come in was damaged and soggy. I highly recommend trying puppy pads and puppy training tray with the spray you can buy that makes them wanna use that or go some where and buy roll of real grass and make your own for way less .

A Piddle Patch offers a number of benefits over the grass you’ll find at your local garden centre.
Grass grown in soil, as you’ll find at the garden centre, has a short lifespan when it’s not planted into the ground and will begin to wilt and die within about 48 hours. By growing our grass in a liquid retentive mat, Piddle Patch grass has a medium from which it can continue to grow strong and healthy.
The lack of dirt in our grass also means that you don’t need to worry about soil and mud making a mess in your home and our grass is grown with dogs and their humans in mind. We do not use any harmful chemicals or pesticides on it.
As a natural product Piddle Patch is good for your dog and good for the environment. Dog training pads are made from non-recyclable materials that take up to 500 years to decompose in landfill so Piddle Patch was designed as the more environmentally friendly option.
