Nachverwendung eines freien Musikstückes wurde mein Video auf Youtube geblockt. Ich wollte die kommenden Tage eine Donation für den Produzenten machen. Da hätte ich mich dann richtig geärgert. Scheinbar sind die Lizenzen nicht geklärt. Eine Verwendung des Materials ist nicht nur sinnfrei, sondern auch scheinbar juristisch gefährlich.

Mittlerweile beinahe komplett nutzlos! Die Bilder, welche kostenlos sind, sind unbrauchbar und furchtbar hässlich. Alles andere kostet Geld! Vor einigen Jahren noch ganz gut, heute überhaupt nicht mehr!

I was searching for stock footage and B-roll featuring Black people for my content. I typed “Black people,” “nappy hair,” and “cornrows” in separate searches and every time, the results showed white people instead.

This isn’t just inconvenient; it’s exclusionary and demonstrates a serious bias in Pixabay’s search algorithm. For a platform that claims to provide diverse media, this is unacceptable. Creators who want to represent Black people accurately are being blocked by a system that clearly doesn’t work.

Pixabay needs to fix this immediately. Until then, I can’t recommend it for anyone looking for authentic, inclusive footage.

I have never seen a more racist website. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.
I googled "African healthcare," and it showed me wild animals like baboons and lions. So you want to tell me such a big website has no single photo of Africans receiving health services? This is ridiculous. This website should be taken down! I would encourage every African with a sound mind not to use this website. Total trash.

Not good at all... ads, ai generated images. i hate !

I have spent dozens of hours of my life retrieving old Cubase projects and recording video proof of my manual work. Despite this, Pixabay continues to ignore my evidence and maintain false 'AI-generated' labels that ruin my professional reputation. This total disregard for my time and my rights as a composer points to a systemic bias and discrimination based on my national and geographic origin, as there is no other logical reason to ignore such definitive proof.

Leider passiert es häufiger, dass freie Musik nach einigen Wochen oder Monaten plötzlich nicht mehr frei ist und man dann etliche Videos umschneiden muss. Finger weg!

Ich bin Musikkreator und nutze Pixabay, um mehr Reichweite zu generieren – was auch ganz gut funktioniert. Allerdings habe ich ein großes Problem mit der Veröffentlichung: Wenn ich Audiodateien hochlade, dauert es Tage, ja sogar Wochen, bis sie freigeschaltet werden.

In der heutigen Zeit sollte es doch möglich sein, dass der Upload- und Prüfprozess nur wenige Minuten dauert. Alle modernen Streaming-Plattformen nutzen KI, um Songs automatisch auf Urheberrechtsverletzungen zu prüfen. Vielleicht wäre hier ein Update sinnvoll, das den Veröffentlichungsprozess deutlich beschleunigt?

If you want to find content, it's great. If you are a content creator, it kinda sucks that they have to manually review the stuff. The guy who handles music took over a week to go through it cause he was on holiday. Even on normal days, it can take 3 days before it gets approved. They seriously need an automatic reviewer. I mean people can just report it, if it's not following the guidelines

It's a good place to find content that you can easily use commercially.

However, I put 2 stars because their customer support is incredibly bad. They clearly state that they're unhelpful, and they are even if your demand is legit.

I was banned for sending polite thank you messages to a handful of people whose work I had used in a video.

I sent them an email and asked them to check how their spam detection tools are working, since saying thanks to contributors is surely a vital part of the ecosystem.

They never replied, my account is still banned.

Says a lot about them I think.

I honestly like Pixabay! When I first visited this site -- where I tried to upload my music, mind you -- I found this. This site can easily give me access to upload my music taste onto there!

This is a great site that should be held at more success. :)

"Royalty free music" biggest lie ever told. Used music from their website which is "free to use" but then my video on Youtube has been given a copywrite claim from said music. The fact that this is advertised as royalty free and isn't this website should be shut down for being a scam but somehow remains top of Google searches.

La aplicación esta muy bien, pero me gastaría que corrigiesen el problema de audios sin ´´copyright´´. Que se supone que no tienen copyright, pero a la hora de usarlos en videos de YouTube, te saltan derechos de autor. Y me parece bastante mal porque tienes que volver a editar el video, exportarlo y subirlo. Cosa que se tarda bastante en videos largos. Espero que lo arreglen porque es una app que esta muy bien y es gratis.

Scam website. They have a bunch of "royalty free" resources you can use. But if you use them anywhere online you'll get copyright claims. They get people to use their "royalty free" items in something like a YouTube video, then claim copyright over the YouTube video and take the revenue. Also most of the content on their site is stolen or AI generated. That's the business model, steal art, let people use that art "royalty free" to create real art, copyright claim and take the revenue from the real art. Just a scam.
