Port2Port operates as a marketplace and does not have a centralized warehouse. As indicated on the order summary page and in the order confirmation communication, the stock is shipped directly from the wineries and this is why 5 separate shipments occurred for your order.
The delay with your final shipment was unacceptable and we are reviewing our procedures to prevent such errors in the future.

The order took way longer than I was told it would take when I ordered. And then on the day of delivery I was notified on time that there would be a delivery.

The service in terms of delivery times…
The service in terms of delivery times etc. was good. However, I did not like the subterfuge employed by Port to Port in splitting my order and then charging me for delivery for the one part.
This was disingenuous at best, but basically dishonest.

Port2Port offers you the biggest online selection of fine wines from around the world at the best possible prices while guaranteeing cellaring conditions and provenance. To do so, we do not operate from a centralized warehouse but collect your wines from the winery or retailer warehouse and ship them directly to your door. This means that when you shop from multiple sellers you may receive your order in separate shipments, the number of which will be indicated on checkout. Regarding our shipping fees, unless indicated otherwise, Port2Port shipping fees are R99 per vendor and free shipping applies for all orders over R1500 per vendor. If independently shipped by the vendor, shipping fees and free shipping thresholds may vary, this is all indicated on the product detail page, and when checking out. We do hope, that the above clears up our shipping terms and we hope that you will visit our site again, and make sure that the free shipping thresholds apply to your order. Disappointed - not with the wines but the service
Have used other on line wine suppliers and generally get within 4-5 days including non business days. My order took ages to get here! Would rather use my trusted on line supplier!

Due to the high volume of orders from the TWS24, we requested that our customers please allow for 5 to 10 working days delivery time. Some winning wines, however, took a little longer to be dispatched and our Team assures you that we are looking into rectifying this issue to prevent this from happening again.
