I am a high school Principal. PowerSchool is terrible, and I would not recommend this company to anyone. We have been going back and forth for over a year now, which is why this review is being written. We successfully canceled our service with them by notifying them 30 days before the end of the contract, as their cancellation policy states. They kept passing us around to different people trying to collect. They don't respond to emails and frustrate customers by having different people reach out, forcing them to explain themselves over and over. After providing multiple emails and evidence, they are still trying to collect the fee.

My recommendation, there are so many other companies with similar products, I would try any other company but these guys.

It's easy to use and keeps track of my grades and attendance. Why is it hated? It's simple to look at your grades and work that you're missing. I'm glad this even exists in my school.

Awful Login UI And Difficult For users, Monopoly, overall evil

Terrible app. Schools should avoid using this platform.

This app is so poorly set up, it’s laughable. Difficult to navigate, information doesn’t sync from web browser to app, it’s unresponsive, there’s difficulty logging in, and changing your password, for that matter. Truly the worst way to enroll a child into school, and keeping track of their progress.

If going paperless is supposed to be “so simple” and “easier for parents and staff” then what is this crap? Seriously.

Powerschool is the worst, piece of garbage program ever created. The UI is absolute trash. It is impossible to find anything. It is needlessly over complicated people in the business world would never accept such substandard software. Only in educstion do we spent our money on such low quality rubbish.

You have a 99.99% chance that this will crash. The other .01% is that it’ll work… for one minute. Would give this 0 stars if i could! Also, you get zeros on “missing assignments” that you turned in LAST MONTH! MAYBE EVEN TWO MONTHS AGO!!

Opening PowerSchool is like spinning a wheel of misfortune. Will it load? Will it crash? Will it show a 0 on an assignment I definitely turned in? Who knows. It’s a surprise every time.

The UI looks like it was designed in 2004 by someone who hates children. Every button feels like a trap. Every grade feels like a personal attack.

10/10 would avoid if my school didn’t force me to use it like it’s oxygen.

Yes, i'm in seventh grade, and we used this back in 6th grade and in the past. It became an addiction to check it EVERY, SINGLE, DAY! We now use infinite campus, but the main reason why I wrote this is because of one thing, That thing is Schoolnet

Schoolnet is a testing website where you are stressed, and more. Powerschool owns it, so why can't I mention it? So, using Schoolnet, you can time your tests, use AI to help (In which, why?) and that sometimes the answers are rather vague or not right looking. Like one answer CAN make sense, but it isn't right!

Teachers use Powerschool to put in grades, but picking courses is so confusing. Like, I will take 30 minutes figuring it all OUT.

I'm so glad we don't use this, but we still use Schoolnet.

Teachers and parents can check my grades whenever they desire, questioning certain marks on certain assignments. It's awful to acknowledge that my every move throughout my 180 days in the prison called middle school can be, and is being watched. I feel like a baby in a crib cam as a result of the monitoring of my grades.

There was one point when I checked PowerSchool about 8 times a day, and I became obsessed with it. Every time my grades went down by a single point, I would have a meltdown and start crying. My classmates judged me for it, my teachers were heavily concerned, and I at that point was a paranoid mess. I would always strive for perfection, telling myself that a 99 isn't good enough. Students, parents, and teachers alike should not have access to grade information. It just deteriorates the mental health of students, and creates tension at home, and in the classroom.

This school year, I just turned off. I barely try anymore, I turn things in late, and I don't care about my grades. I have just become so tired. It's as simple as that. I know I will need to start trying again when I am in high school next year, but it will be hard with this system. I have also gotten grounded multiple times for having zeros that THIS WEBSITE showcased to my parents. That got rid of one of my forms of escapism from school, which was video games.

My mentality towards school has taken a full 180, and quite a few other students in my school feel pressure due to PowerSchool.

For the past couple of years I have had to deal with Powerschool, I would just like to say that it is creating anxiety in students, and also stressing them out. That sentence alone should be enough to explain why I hate this.

Schoology is a nightmare of a system and should be torched to the ground. Please go with another LMS

Why are the numbers so low. The system so good but they got me so many whoopings because the numbers are so low please powerschool rais the numbers thanks.

Managing schoology is a disaster.
Lots of schools are switching to schoology for some unknown reason and it has been horrible. Crashes, Google error code and accessed denied. I have no idea how a company can manage such a crappy learning platform. I wish there was a 0 star option.
