Poor customer service

Bought a db6620 chipper, box arrived missing several items. The box was crushed and had been opened and taped back shut. When contacting customer service to request assistance, I kept getting messages asking for the stock numbers. No matter how many times I provided the stock numbers they kept denying any support.. as all the users have noted, kept getting a runaround over and over again, which felt like a stall tactic.

Still angry six months later...

I bought a generator from this store through a third party for $139.99 After receiving it late I didn't have use for it until about a month later which made it impossible to return via third party sales store. I then used it with a total run time of maybe 8 times, 4 to 5 hours each time. I used it to charge some back up phone chargers and power a lamp drawing no where near it limitations. Yet the key on the fly wheel sheered enough to slip in the small amount of time. I tried working with the company explaining what was going on and that I only wanted the key replaced and to send it to me in the mail. I hadn't opened it up yet but was what sure that was the problem because of the symptoms. They said ok and to send pics. It wasn't even 24 hours and I get a message stating they denied any claim because I hadn't sent them any pictures yet. I was mad and told them just take the thing back and send me a new one then because that is what most people would do. They say they can't because this model is discontinued. They then looked for a key to pull off of another unit to send to me, they said they couldn't find one.. which led me to believe that my unit wasn't even new to begin with. The key is fixed to the fly wheel and the amount of wear in the part couldn't have happened in such a short amount of time. I called and complained again because now I'm out of pocket to repair it . Either 60-100 bucks at a shop or my time plus whatever the part costs and that's if I can find a party that fits. My bad for trying to be helpful and honest, I didn't think the company would use this to their advantage and totally screw me over. I thought they would have appreciated my effort to cut there cost down to a minimal for selling used junk to people claiming them to be new. They offered me a voucher for the part at whatever they valued it at but couldn't tell me where to buy it or how much they were charging for it. I remember it was 10-15$ but then never sent me that even. I found the part, 48 dollars, and that was the cheapest. So, if anyone reads these, I wouldn't ever buy anything from here ever again . Still mad 6 months later.

Want your house to burn down?

If there was an option to leave zero stars I would. I purchased their electric snowblower this past winter. The first time I used it I had a bad smell of plastic which I didn't think much of as a previous review had mentioned that and it was brand new. The second time there was the same smell after about 20 minutes. Ultimately the motor was faulty and it caught on fire. Burning my deck and catching my house on fire during a massive blizzard that we had here in New England. When I reached out to their customer service team they were extremely robotic, extremely insensitive, and it advised that they could do nothing besides the reimbursement of the cost of the snowblower. All the while we sit here with a burned down house because of a faulty motor with their product. Steer clear of this company and their products.

BUYER BEWARE OF POWERSMART

BUYER BEWARE OF POWERSMART- I purchased what was supposed to be a NEW snowblower from POWERSMART USA. They sent me something that was obviously used. It had a frayed wire and all types of scratches and dents, At first I asked for an exchange because I believed they would do the right thing like most companies but they didn't. They actually gave me the runaround with terrible customer service but then they finally admitted the obvious. They said they were not going to pick up the item that they knowingly sent to me used and defective. Imagine a power company not able to pickup a large return of an issue that is their fault. That is what I was told. Go to the BBB and look at their reviews and you will see that they send out used merchandise. Then they fight you tooth and nail instead of trying to make it right. I'm speaking from experience. Just Don't do it!!

I purchased a powersmart snowblower…It is not suitable or purpose

I purchased a powersmart snowblower Model #MB7006A in January of 2024. I was able to clear my drive three times with it prior to it no longer being able to be pushed. In my experience Power Smart is built with Chinezium which is the cheapest material available worldwide. It also contains Unobtainium which is customer service and parts availability. Good luck if you actually buy one.

STAY AWAY

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with PowerSmart. I placed an order on the Januarty 27th and expected reasonable shipping and communication. By February 5th, I still had not received my package, so I contacted customer service. I was left on hold for 45 minutes and never received an answer as the call was disconnected. That level of customer service is completely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, I received an email later on February 5th stating that the package would finally be sent out — well after it should have already arrived. When the package eventually showed up, it was too late to be useful. I no longer needed the item because of the delay.I attempted to contact the company but of course no answer.

Despite the inconvenience and their poor communication, PowerSmart refused to issue a refund. The offical response was "Alternatively, we’re currently offering a cashback option:
If you decide not to return the part, you can leave us a positive review and receive a $15 refund as a thank-you—no return required."
Between the shipping delay, lack of customer support, attempt to bribe a postive review and refusal to stand behind their service, this has been a very frustrating experience.

I would not recommend ordering from PowerSmart based on my experience.

For your order with PowerSmart, we did provide the return address so you could return the item for a refund. At the same time, we offered an optional cashback if you preferred to keep the part. This option was meant to help you avoid the trouble of returning the package, not to pressure you.

Terrible customer service We purchased this snowblower on January…

We purchased this snowblower on January 15 from Walmart.com put it together and took 1swipe don’t driveway.
Almost immediately stopped moving. Had a repair man look at it ant it was the drive belt was installed very loose and fell off the machine. Tightened the belt for 75 bucks took and it worked perfectly for about a week!! Then it stopped going into reverse. I dealt with that till a couple days ago when the drive cable came loose. Had the same repair guy look at it and said the 2 bolts that belt the drive belt were sheared off.this machine is junk!! The customer service is a joke!! Called and waited 45 minutes till only go to voicemail and never called back

I own an older PowerSmart 208cc…

I own an older PowerSmart 208cc snowblower. This is my second time ordering from PowerSmart website. The site is extremely useful in obtaining parts diagrams and thusly ordering the parts. The last order I needed to correspond with customer service. They responded with directions pertaining to an extra part I ordered that I didnt need to order. Over all I am able to keep my older snowblower running due to availability of parts. Great website, user friendly, and parts availability.

The company was helpful

The company was helpful and sent the part numbered in the owner's manual, however the part did not match the part in the machine.
This was just a print error in the manual, not the fault of the seller or the machine, The company is credible with good quality products.

Poor service on replacement part

Order#SH705659 Wanted to leave a quick review. Had to get a 2nd new friction wheel for my snowblower. Only 4 yrs old! Ordered online. CS is horrible! No live person. No response to questions. Offered a refund after then went silent on response. No refund .Shipment took weeks and got the wrong part. Don't bother with phone support either...just sit on hold til I have up

Bolts sheared off the Auger controller and the stems of the bolts remained inside
Home Depot said I have to deal with manufacturer since the purchase was 60 days old
Since Jan 26th...6 emails, nothing
Three phone messages, no return calls
I paid to have it fixed since they have ZERO customer service

WORST SNOWBLOWER EVER!!!

Bought a brand new 26" snowblower, used it twice, forward drive started slipping, reverse no longer worked. Been in service centre for a month now, still waiting for a friction gear assembly. Contact numbers for Powersmart are not in service.
Will recommend to Authorized Dealers to discontue carrying their products.
Extremely POOR PRODUCT!!!
Extremely POOR SERVICE!!!
Don't buy it! AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

Well, first of all, I was missing some parts because FedEx damaged the box but I got a hold of this company and they did give me everything I needed to get the snowblower running and the snowblower does run Great it’s a powerful snowblower. I really like it!
